Drop rate wasn't bad. I could tolerate it based on the fact that it provided a nice upgrade to my off-hand.

You think its a bad drop rate because of the fact that there are a millinoother ppl doin this quest. so the mobs u do end up killling... well... you dont kill many of them. haha

Seriously, this quest has awful drops :( where are you finding the good drops? I go straight out the gate and kill those mobs, and I've got 2 out of like 30.

Drop rate isn't great. I was getting one out of say 12 (?) kills maybe. But there is a very fast respawn making the whole quest doable in about 15-20 min (depending on competition for kills, that is)

Do this with I Work... For The Horde! to pick up the Salvaged Metal and Salvaged Wood lying around the camps.

Both can be done at 58,46.

This quest was really painfull for me, had a really really low drop rate, mobs here have around 5k hp. Quite annoying with the very fast respawn.

I did this quest as a 60 Elemental/Enhancement Shammy. The first grind (about an hour) I only got 5 bloods. Very painful. However, one week later (2/19/08) I farmed and got maybe the blood 2/3 times. I seem to have gotten lucky. Oh, if you are on a PVP server and are horde, there is a broken caravan right outside Thrallammar (sp) to the west. Great farming location because of low ganking and easy to farm mobs.

idk for u but i farmed it in 52 42 it was like 80% drop ;]

I think Blizzard lowered the drop rate on the blood, possibly in 2.3, because this is the third character I've taken through Outlands and my other characters experienced at least a 75% rate, whereas I had more of a 10% rate this time around.

This really wasn't a pain for me...

I noticed that the Bonechewer's right outside Thrallmar didn't really havea good drop rate but the one across the big road thing dropped them a lot more.

Just be ready to spend some time doing this quest!

I think Blizzard needs to send all its employees to medical school so they can learn that all creatures have blood.
And all the other body parts that questgivers send us to get, for that matter (heads, stingers from scorpions, whatever).

i found that the best drop rates directly south of Thrallmar just under the letter (R) in (Thrallmar) all the way to the main road..

i got all 12 in about 20 mins.. i have taken couple screen shots for all to see.. good luck

Just a random note: Death Knights weren't around yet when Blizzard designed this quest, hence having 6 rewards to choose from none of which are usable by DKs.

You want to kill mobs at level 58. If you're killing level 60+ mobs, you're in the wrong place.

Description

Bonechewers! They should all die! The sight of their red skin and depravity makes my blood boil!

I have a mission for you, <name>. Kill Bonechewer orcs and collect their vile blood. There is an apothecary who needs the blood for her tests, so we can discover how these orcs fell to the demon taint, a taint from which we so recently freed ourselves.

Bonechewers scavenge near the ruined battlements along the Path of Glory, to the south. Return to me when your mission is complete.
