This quest is started by a letter (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29588) which is dropped by Warbringer Arix'Amal (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29588).

I don't think the letter has anything to do with this quest, but I'm not positive. I got the letter and did the first part, turning into Warp-Scryer Kryv. However I did not do the second part of the letter quest (kill 10 Terrorfiends). I had done all of Field Marshall Brock's quests, though. Anyway, without finishing the letter chain I was eligible for Overlord.

The weird thing is I did not see an ! over Trollbane's head indicating he had the quest Overlord for me, so I didn't try to talk to him. Someone else in my party was able to share it with me, though, so I did it that way.

There's some sort of prereq for this quest, but I'm still a bit confused exactly what it is. And Trollbane may be bugged and not showing the yellow !.

Doing part three of Field Marshal Brocks quest will tell you to go kill Warbringer Arix'Amal.

Warbringer Arix'Amal then drops the note needed to get this quest. It's like Van'Cleef in Deadmines.

Just picked this quest up for my twink. Looking forward to the ~2% crit chance =)

You need to kill http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=19298 to get the letter. Hand it in and Overlord becomes available from Trollbane (in the same room). No other prerequisites as far as I know.

you will need more tin 2 it took 4 for mi groop to do it we had a 61 fury warrior and a warlock a long with 2 huntrs. kill the adds win he summon or you will die lol.

my pet tanked it as lvl 64 as another hunter and myself dpses it, no healer required. not that hard as long you have somthing to tank.

Completed this as 61 bm hunter w/64 feral druid, 60 enh. shammy & 60 balanced druid. It was way overkill, feral druid tanked, we dps'd him down in less than 20 seconds, no heals. His adds (water elementals i believe) do quite a bit of damage but cant take a hit very well.

This is very hard. Wiped twice with a group of 3(lv64 hunter, lv61 war and rogue). Finally did it with help from a lv64 warlock nearby (make it a group of 4). The lck died and we managed to finish him while all of us barely alive. Both his melee and pyroblast hit hard, and he can silence you. The summoned infernos do not hit hard but the boss has too many healths (44k) and the damage accumulated is threatening.
You would need a high dps to finish him off fast, and a tank, a healer to do this at the recommended level. Or some twinks.
Considering the prerequisite also a hard quest which many people skipping , it is very very difficult to get a pug to do this. They should nerf the boss or it will become a useless quest which you can only get the reward at a level too high to need them anymore.

Soloed lvl61 warlock. Curse of doom--->banish-->shadowfury(not to let him attack while casting fear)--->fear--->damage from CoD---->renew curse. Took about 10 min. I kill all elites by this method.

I was fortunate enough, after spamming the General and Looking for Group channels for about 5 minutes, to get a PUG5! It originally was a PUG3, but two more asked to be included at the last minute, so we waited, killing patrollers in the interim. Needless to say, Arazzius got creamed.

We pulled the two adds down the ramp and slaughtered them. Made sure the group was ready, myself and another rogue got behind Azarrius, and the hunter sent his pet in. We all pounced and the boss went down in less than 30 seconds. It was nice to complete what could have been a difficult quest in short order, with a good PUG.

Went back to Trollbane in HH, turned in the quest and selected Bladefist's Breath. That is a great trinket for a rogue (my crit jumped over 1%!), and the +200 AP should be a great buff when using Blade Fury.

The Shadowbolt Volley he casts can't be interrupted, but Pyroblast and Summon Infernal can (Rogue Kick).

Im not sure why you guys are having so much trouble, solo'd it as a 70 enhance shaman, didnt even pop heroism or heal, just interrupted his spells and yes.. that includes shadowbolt volley!

Went down super easy and fast.

Two manned him with another lvl61 BM Hunter.
My Gorilla tanked him while i was keeping up Scorpid Sting and Mend Pet, other hunter had Devilsaur and had Serpent Sting up. With the adds, just ignored them till they despawned.

I just attempted this with a level 60 BM Hunter. I managed to get him down to 50% before I ran out of mana and was unable to heal my pet. I really don't think it's possible to solo at any level before 65.

Easy and very rewarding. Did is as lvl 62 Mage paired with lvl 64 DK, who took the hit. The DK used 1 healing potion, and at the end had about 50% of HP.

I am a level 61 Balance druid and i did this quest with a level 63 warrior and it was quite easy. for this quest i recommend a tanking class and a healer class thats all u need. i just put up my Dots on him summoned my treants and kept him healed that did the trick =-)

Some folk are so full of it lol. Banging chests and go urg urg im big man i kill elite thing no problem ug ug it easy peasy like little pig ug ug.

Bull@#$% lol. Went to this guy and there was Undead 64 DK there, i watched since i was alliance and ^&*! him, he didnt do .I then tried 63 dk. Did EVERYTHING and had over 7.5 hps and dmg to go with it. Popped pots, everything i had and he still just ^&*!s you up.

Hits hard and summons infernos if you like it or not. Interrupts arent fast enough cooldown to keep up with him.

So no, stick to taking a friend with you and ignore the bull&*!@ posted previously.

Solo'd as a 66 Protection Warrior. While he's green and I'm built for it, I just wanted to get the Regal Protectorate to replace my rather useless Chained Essence of Eranikus. Oh, and to test some things.

His spells are interruptable, and while Shadow Bolt Volley is not Spell Reflectable, Pyroblast is. Any Warrior that is holding aggro on him should swap to a sword and board (if they haven't already) and Spell Reflect it. It's a neat 2k damage to him.

It is wise to keep a potion handy, and any survival cooldowns you have. Or you can just get a healer friend.

Soloed with 59 prot pal without yet equipping any of the upgraded gear i got from outlands quests.

In mid fight 2 horde players that i had killed 5 min before attacked me, so i had to solo them while getting agro from the overlord/his summons.

He hit me pretty hard, but flash of light + word of glory/guarded by the light over heal + judgment spam to keep mana pool up is too hard to beat.

As of patch 4.3 this is no longer a group quest.

His health has been reduced to only 8.8k or so, in addition the infernos he spawns only have 1.7k each. Finally, the two mistress of pain type mods that patrol on his platform are no longer present.

1. Overlord
• Accept the quest, Overlord, from Force Commander Danath Trollbane, at coords 56.6, 66.6 (Upper level of the Honor Hold Barracks).
• Go downstairs, exiting the barracks, and travel northwest to the Pools of Aggonar at coords 43.4, 31.6.
• Kill Arazzius the Cruel (large, red-colored Eredar).
• Travel southeast to Honor Hold Barracks (entrance: coords 56.3, 65.9).
• Go upstairs and turn in the quest to Force Commander Danath Trollbane at coords 56.6, 66.6.

For anyone trying to do the Loremaster achievement, in addition to this quest you also have to do "The Heart of Darkness", which you can get from Warp-Scryer Kyrv, after finding a Burning Legion Missive.

Might be pretty obvious but if you're like me just trying to do Loremaster whilst levelling alts, it's handy to know.
