Either way you slice it, people are gonna be mad whether or not Calia turns evil.
A fake Menethil character brought up from literally nowhere that literally no one asked for. Yes, she was briefly mentioned in some mickey mouse tier books that are probably not canon, then again what is at this point.
Love these kinds of lore speculations. Just hope Blizz can plan lore half of what u wrote here.
I feel like you're reading waaaay too much into this. WoW's story is not that deep.
Oh dude, finally someone is seeing it! That was my exact same question when I saw Vyranoth happy with the blessing. "Azeroths is a Titan, why are you happy? Unless..."
Wasn't it Genn's own daughter that persuaded him, not Calia? Also getting REAAAL tired of this 'tHe LiGhT cAnT bE tRusTeD'. Starting to sound like a stuck record. Guess what? No other force can be trusted either.
Just because the Light brought her back doesn't mean she'll do its bidding. Saying that she will means she has no will of her own, that she is essentially a mindless Scourge. And so what if she wants the throne? It is hers by right. But she understands that she just cant waltz in and take it, she'll cause a civil war among the Forsaken and any ruler of right mind does not want that. So she'll play the long game and earn their trust and respect first. She has time now after all.As for the whole Forsaken experience, yes she never went through that but that doesn't mean she cannot understand what it means. And in a way she is experiencing it. She is being shunned by Forsaken because she's a Menethil and because she didn't experience what they went through. And now that she is undead, she'll experience being hated and hunted by the Scarlet Crusade too. The only thing she won't experience is being controlled and serving Arthas. But, in a way, she could be undergoing that experience now anyway. If she is truly a pawn of the Light, then she is just as much a slave of it as the Forsaken had been to Arthas. She has yet to realize this and break from its control. Her experience can be a mirror of the Forsaken, just done through different events.
Meh, prefer her over Sylvanas.
Calia hates intensify these days...
Interesting speculation, thanks for the article!
Someone's still mad about Treeroshima. I'm still waiting on multi-racial Forsaken. We are not the same.
I miss Sylvanas, hopefully she returns with Midnight.
I have a long history of wowhead's theories over the years, i remember back in Legion when they started putting them, and one of them made me so mad that i stopped listening to them, and now that i am an another one that i personally dislike, i come to ask myself : when was one of these theories actually was true?
(Please forgive me for poor grammar and spelling).I love how someone can put in a lot of work writing a lengthy theory about lore they are very passionate about, and even leave the door open to possibly being wrong and overthinking the lore, to just get comments like:"Too long; didn't read,""Who cares; the lore is bad,""You are just wrong."Shout out to those who spend too much time just leaving comments for the sake of leaving comments. If you have nothing good to say, just keep it to yourself next time. :)While reading the article, I was personally speculating that maybe Calia just wants to be a part of a community she isn't welcomed in. She intended on doing the right thing, but had a very hard time being confident in herself. It wasn't until she was resurrected by the Light where her intentions could have changed, or maybe her current actions are not entirely hers. I don't really think Blizzard is the best at writing a good story with interesting characters. Calia is kind of an example of a weirdly written character to me. Sure, she is unique in the fact that she is the only Undead to be resurrected by the Light; however, the fact that her intentions of wanting people to support her could be that she feels less confident and just straight up dirty knowing she has connections to Arthas and the former ruler of Lordearon. At this point, I would imagine the Forsaken to just want to hide in the shadows after all that's happened to them. They initially awoke from Arthas' control and had only the Banshee Queen herself, Sylvanas, several trusted members of their community made them look more like monsters like Putricied in Wrath, and had even lost their already destroyed home of Lordearn and the Undercity due to Sylvanas' actions during BfA, and then told that the Forsaken and the Horde is "nothing." I could imagine the Forsaken still being very bitter about everything after all they have been through. Them accepting Calia probably wasn't going to happen for as long as Sylvanas was around, and now that they have been left behind with almost nothing once again, and with Calia being infused with the Light, I doubt they would want her around anyway. The theory that the Light is to not be trusted has for sure already been implied - especially during the scene Xe'ra tried to force Illidan to accept the gift of the Light, and with Tiralyon being a bit of a dictator now ruling Stormwind, it would be safe to assume Calia would be another puppet under the Light's control. Now that she has gained even more confidence thanks to the Light, and still fully knowing she probably wouldn't be accepted by the Forsaken, the Light within her has now gave her the goal to reclaim the throne for maybe not the better of the Forsaken, but just to get one step closer to the Light's ultimate plan to obtain Azeroth. As a side thing, just imagining a climatic event during the Worldsoul Saga, depending on where the story goes, I could imagine the "Last Titan" being the last remaining titan left to attempt to seize Azeroth to be Aman'thul. He was, in fact, the first to find the other Titans and has the authority over the other Titans who we already know. I could imagine some of the other Titans left remaining turning from an Arcane force to maybe one of Light or Void - much like how Sargeras turned from Arcane to Fel and became the leader of the Burning Crusade - and then the final encounters of the expansion being us defeating those remaining Titans with Aman'thul being the last.
