In game calendar says it ends at 6/14 11:59pm (not 10AM like in the article).
Missing mount gang where u at? :c
I gave up on the mount, like I give up each year on the love rocket, just to preserve my sanity. Congrats to whoever got it!
Killed the goblin plenty of times and I've gotten lame useless charms and the pet over 25 times never the mount. Be nice if if had a good chance of dropping
It's just a shame that they didn't implement some bad luck protection in this event, like for example slightly raising the drop rate for the mount for each kill made without it dropping. Eventually rewarding players that have 100+ kills on the goblins while also not invalidating the luck aspect of it. It only really matters in events such as these which have rewards that are exclusive to this one-time event, since FOMO is a big factor in the depressing melancholy some people are left with after this event ends (Which should have been exciting and fulfilling to ring in a new awesome game). Not of course saying that "You get a horse! And you get a horse! And they get a horse! Everybody gets a horse!", because that just defeats the uniqueness of the event, as literal treasure goblins from another world pop in and you have to pillage their loot and hope you get lucky. It just needs to have that end goal become more feasible than just "The first goblin you kill a day has a much higher chance at getting the mount! (Per account, not per character)". Curious to know the actual statistics behind the daily-locked drop rate and other people's opinions, but IMHO being able to eventually obtain the rare items through perseverance and dedication seems much more rewarding than being left in the dust simply because you didn't roll the dice correctly.
Got the bag on a few characters, the mount and tons of the pet, none of the toys, sadly.Would've been nice if events like these just dropped a temporary currency instead so you could save up and buy all the different rewards instead of it being a random chance by drop.At least that way you can put in the amount of effort you need to get what you want instead of ending up missing out on rewards, despite having killed it several times a day.
I''m sorry for posting this late, but I wanted to be pretty sure about this: On 12 of my 16 chars I got the 36 slot bag when I managed to get the "greed" buff from the gold zone ground effect a few seconds before the kill. And I'm not talking about the first kill of the day. (the other characters got it at the first kill, so I did not take them into account).Maybe this is just a coincidence, but if not, it might help someone to get the bag before the event ends. Look at the ground, find a gold buffzone, step into it right before the goblin dies. Good luck!
i understand a super low drop rate on an event which will be repeated, i do not get a super low deop rate on a one time event, its bs
Now that we have hindsight about the 3 methods I'm not sure, let's say it seems pretty obvious the best way to get tyrael was going for the annual pass if, like me, you were gonna play wow for all 12 months anyway, in that case it was just a free bonus like the typical 6 months sub mount that have come around, and for the record I didn't go for the annual pass despite being active in wow all the time cause I wasn't a collector, wasn't very informed about this stuff, so lost an easy mount back then. Then I got it this december from shop, I'm much better off with gold in game than money IRL, but I did half and half, so 12,5 euro and 240k gold or so, even in eu tokens were pretty good back then compared to now, and then there would have been this opportunity for who didn't go for it, it's obviously very luck dependant, say you don't get it and it doesn't come back, then you'd have been better off buying it then for no more than 480k gold even if you went all the way with it, however having got almost 60 bags I had the feeling that if I had been eligible to get the mount (hadn't got it already) those kills should've been enough to get the mount for free too, and tbh I've seen people sell it for reasonable prices, pretty sure someone this morning who first asked 500k negotiable, then risked to not be able to sell at all, looking at how his gold increased, he sold it for no more than 110k, if he even ended up selling it.But it's also very frustrating to have to get to goblins every half an hour on 2 accounts, so all that to save 300-400k? I don't know, both method 2 and 3 have pros and cons.
I have too much drops of the mount, like 10 (with alts of course) this last week more the other week and i have them already at least is trade with other people the bad luck im alliance in a 70% horde, well at least the alliance of my realm is early chrismas my guild see me like a pandaren totem of good luck from that lol.But for me is like hell puns intended, like a billons of pets, toys but none trasmog i never see wirt leg in any form and less the cape.
Day 1 before the hotfix drops were good. Then they decided the event wasn't grindy enough and wanted to farm us for metrics and when they hotfixed the Valdrakken portals to stop chain-spawning they also slipped in a horrid drop nerf. The Goblin always drops gold and
Yeah, they need to stop pulling this cheap trick. Deploying low drop rate + FOMO is a cynical way to design a game.
280+ kills and i didn't get the mount, great drop rate!
I will get much hate for it just by posting it but i managed to get this mount twice for myself and my wife. I didn't learn the first one but i tell my wife that i would get her one too, so exactly the next day we went to kill it and i told her watch me get it for you after this i expect a good dinner. She said "yeah right you will be doing the cooking and the rest of the chores". And BAM it dropped! She looked at me for awhile and later that night i was still doing the cooking. Didn't go as planned but hey it is what it is.
This event has been really, really the antithesis of fun to me. I have over 150 attempts now for the mount, and that's a few days after I started logging them so the real number is higher. I will be past 200 attempts when this stage of the event ends.It has meant that most of what I do is sit at my computer *not* playing WoW, but doing something on the side while waiting for the next portal to spawn because they spawn so frequently that there is no time to really get comfortable doing anything else in-game.It has sucked the life out of the game, and put me right back where I was in BfA and Shadowlands. The thought occurred to me yesterday night that they essentially hooked me with lootbox mechanics, the only benefit to me being that I haven't paid for these lootboxes, but I'm also not being given the thing I want from them anyway. The thing that every single person around me has gotten, in much fewer attempts than I am on now.It just feels really bad.
looted 996 gold from goblin
