Single target damage has been a big weakness for Havoc and after trying to help out the spec with aura buffs, Blizzard finally buffed the spells that only affect our single target damage. The change amounts to roughly 4% single target damage increase.
Unbound Chaos being nerfed is somewhat necessary if the goal intended for a talent row is to have the talents be competitive with each other. At 600%
Unbound Chaos was always the clear winner, where as 500% it is more competitive with the other talents and shines in certain aspects but not all of them.
While these buffs will help Havoc be a more balanced spec in the grand scheme of things, the spec has always been Mythic Raid viable. You won't top damage meters but as long as you are a capable player you will contribute to the success of the raid. When it comes to world first raid comps, these changes won't affect the spec enough to become a top spec, so the purpose of Havoc Demon Hunters will remain to apply
Chaos Brand. In the current meta, melee are not very desirable, so as long as Vengeance is a top tier tank, it will remain the preferred way to access
Chaos Brand for the raid.
