I'm fine with her. Pulling entire room, she tanks for me, and i can AoE all mobs. She is way better than Brann.
Damn, wowhead got me, so much misinformation for engagement that I will actually respond and boost the numbers.Quick rule of thumb,You are tank > Valerra on heal > quite slow but very very safe (putting her on dps will not speed up delve at all)Can do T11 on low'ish gearYou are healer > Valeerra on tank > the most OP setup (she can do 200k+ single target and 300k+ aoe pulls all the time, while taking almost no damage) NOTE here: there is a bug that sometimes forces her to take a debuff that removes her def and dam and makes her die in 3 hits, just let her die and go againCan do T11 with 0 gear, Valeera will carry all the way You are dps > Valeera on heal > not the best, cant pull big (unless you can survive it as a dps), the worst role to do T11 with bad gearT11 on low ilvl are harsh cus you still need to survive big hitsAs for ?.There is a "bug" (or blizz designed this) that going as a healer and Valeera as tank is almost impossible to complete, She is taking so much damage that even spamming healing on her is not enough, just change her to dps and she will magically take 90% less and you will get 30 extra myth crest for free (after 10+ minutes)Also remeber, you can ping mobs you want her to attack
Has the author even played Delves much? Misinformation about Valeera's Agony mechanic. Just outright wrong about Valeera being unable to hold aggro on packs as well as her damage output—unless the author would like to share with us how they're playing in Delves that somehow keeps Valeera from ever touching enemies, which seems dubious. The article is misleading and unhelpful due to what I'm going to assume is hearsay and confirmation bias.
Sounds like a skill issue because literally nobody I know has any issues. In fact, most seem to be fine with her now that she doesn't talk as much. This honestly just feels like yet another clickbait post or more AI goop.
Once again wowhead writers are smoking crack at their typewriters, holy hell. Valeera is an amazing tank, only "aggro" issue I ever have is easily cleared up by kiting a mob that is on me through whatever she is currently tanking and she'll pick it up. Half of the complaints the writer makes are just objectively wrong. Can you guys find any writers with some wrinkles on their brains? Jesus
Baity Title....Lame article.
Even if tank was buffed, it pails compared to DPS. Even healing does.DPS valeera is insane once you have an ilvl above 250. Play a healer? Set her as dps, run into a pack, do nothing, she pulls threat and kills them within seconds. Play as tank? Keep yourselve perfectly safe with big packs and have her take em out. Play as DPS? Let her get aggro before attacking as she will again kill them fast; if you have misdirect, pull big, let her handle it.Valeera as DPS is the definition of the best offense is just a good offense.
spunge You - she is a great tank and i use her as a tank always as a healer or dps - and we doing great in delves... Wth - this thread is bs.
What an absolute dogwater take. Valeera OP af as tank.@wowhead, please don't let this person (ai?) ever write another article.
Way better to have her role be dps when youre doing delves as a healer. Way better.
This is so insanely easy to fix, which means this is working as blizzard intended
I always use them as tanks in delves when I'm DPS, works out well enough. You just have to pump.
Maybe the biggest nonsense I’ve heard recently. She holds aggro on all of my characters in Tier 11 delves.A few examples:Unholy, Ret, Havoc, Feral, Affliction... with 280+ ilvl on all characters and 3700+ rio xpAcross all of them, she keeps aggro consistently in both AoE and single-target situations, and I play pretty aggressively.I mentioned my rio score just to give some context. I’m not claiming to be rank 1, but I’m also not clueless, I know what I’m doing, and I’m not using a one-button setup.
Yeah, this article is wild lolI've played every healer spec in tier 11 delves with Valeera as a tank and she rips. Funny thing I find is that each healer spec seems to provide Valeera with a different damage profile. Disc priest she rips, holy priest she seems to do about half the dps. I've never been arsed to figure out why (maybe %dmg buff from more passive disc heals? idk). I DO know that she seems to do the absolute most with Resto Shaman - windfury maybe? Most of the dmg she does on the meter is from Autoattacks, so maybe so.In any case, it's annoying to see people discuss delve difficulty because I highly suspect there's an not unsignificant amount of bespoke scaling per spec that gets applied in delves, totally polluting any sort of shared experience ppl might be able to talk about unless they are playing the same class/spec - so many variablesAlso shoutout to @majkos, as they are the only person I've seen mention the dps loss bug Valeera seems to randomly get (i notice it in collegiate calamity for some reason most frequently). I just off myself and it seems to reset the bug and Valeera is back to rippin' and tearin'
I'm so confused reading this. You can lose threat to tank valeera? You want tank valeera as a non healer for some reason, when the healer version makes you unkillable? This feels like someone leveled a new alt dps and went in with a tank valeera and it wasnt as easy as on their main tank.
The worst part is, she's a freaking headless chicken. She keeps running/jumping around soooo much, it's infuriating...
Agony heals for way more than 8%. And it doesn't matter the health of the agony. You hit it 4 times and it is gone, like a Mage's Blizzard on top of mobs will take it out and she gets healed like 35-40%. I think this person tried her as a tank in one delve and had AI write this.
Could have just wrotte "valeera is terrible" idk
