It's stated that Murozond created the Infinites which means that for the Infinites to exist Nozdormu has to fall. The Infinites still exist, thus the fall will still happen. This true timeline might not be as 100% set in stone, but mostly has points in time that have to happen regardless of how we get to them.
No way; Nozdormu's fate is permanently averted thanks to us.
The whole thing with Murozond messing with the timeways, causing paradoxes, is an extremely bad thing when you think about it. Meddling with the flow of time, like attempting to kill Arthas before his fall into being the Lich King, would cause such a drastic change that the universe itself wouldn't be able to handle it. It would cause so many strings of events to change so much that everything falls apart. Subversion of the flow of events will inevitably lead to the mother of all paradoxes, and cause the flow of time to be destroyed. And without time, there is no space. Without time, there is no reality. Without reality, there is nothing. When Nozdormu becomes Murozond, we'll need to put in 220% of our best effort to ensure that space-time continues to exist. But then again, we will, because Azeroth still exists. It wouldn't ever exist in the first place if we didn't. lolSure, I may be reading too much into this, but messing with time always ends in the permanent, irreversible destruction of what was, what is, and what will be.
The Titans thought they were doing the right thing.Good intentions aren't always enough. There's no "They were secretly bad guys? lol gj with writing BlIzZaRd".
There is another possibilty. He may become murozond....but what if thats not permanant? We've seen alternate timeline being coexisting with our timeline counterparts. Just because he may become murozond...doesnt mean he has to stay that way.
Just find it annoying that players are constantly reminded that it's bad to have the time line changed but here we are actively trying to change it to prevent Nozdormu's fated demise.
Ok, i don't remember at all Alex talking with the Ice girl dragon... Like, did i miss something? i am all up to date with the quest in the game.
The old story writting team did not know to write a good story either but they knew how to write a fun story and create alot of hype around it.This story writting team does not know how to write a good story and to put the cherry on top of it all, it is boring. First, they wrote that it isnt Alexstrasza's job to name a candidate to future aspect of earth. All this disregarding of the fact that she is the Dragonqueen. That is her role: to govern over the other aspects. She was chosen to govern over all dragonkind. Second, as a tiny ball of *!@# that went downhill from writing the abomination I named above, they named the most boring candidate to become the aspect of the earth. Conflict and drama is what makes a story fun. They are continously ending drama and ending conflict. In fact, what part of the problem is that there is no drama at all in Dragonflight. Third. This team has no clue of how to create a show. Look at WoD's Frostfire Ridge's cinematic ending. A minor character has left a bigger impact and create more hype and made a huge show going down than anything this new story writting team has ever written. To end it all, before I create a bigger comment, to create hype and to make it big and leave it there as a cliffhanger Nozdormu should have been already showing strong signs of becoming Murozond. What they did is create the premise and kill it before it could create any hype, any drama. This story writting team lacks imagination and it shows. It also shows they dont know how to have fun. Look at Illidan cinematics, at Gul'dan cinematics. The last time a cinematic created hype was made by the old team. This team does not know how to create hype or a fun, big and bombastic story. They are like that friend that sucks all the fun out of a story or joke.
Dune readers, I wonder who Nozdormu's "Siona" will be?
One of the other themes running in WoW for the entire game is that the mortal races can defy fate. Literally every boss that claimed they are fated to win, or that they are inevitable, gets beaten, and often so completely they never come back.So Nozdormu can't change his fate, but we can. Considering the Infinite flight has only ever had losses or "I'll get you next time!" exits when they face us, I cannot see how Murazond is more likely now than before. And besides, we've already killed him once. What use is he if he can't go one round with the mortal races?
I think a lot of people are giving the writers more credit than what they are known for. This is danuser we are talking about still.
psst hey blizz since we're on the 'bad stuff for the greater good is in fact still bad' train can we get some kind of acknowledgement from alexstrasza for allowing pretty much the exact same thing that happened to her in grim batol happen to nyxondra, aka wrathion's mother?like that's something i still can't believe has never really been acknowledged by her, at least not to my knowledge (so if it has, and in a real way not some vague allusions to vague 'mistakes' or whatever, let me know!), ever since encountering the quest when i first started playing in cataclysm. i hadn't encountered such a dark and unpleasant quest in the game like that, made quite the impression.
The only way for murozond to be prevented is if it is revealed that our nozdormu wasn't even murozond all along or some really dumb $%^& like that. Like "oh our bad the whole setup and worry the entire time was nothing after all, carry on". Because if the story is right that all nozdormu is murozond, including ours, then preventing the rise of murozond means that the infinite dragonflight is never created. Which they still are, as they are still around even after dawn of the infinite. Hope that makes sense. Like as long as the infinites are around we know that murozond will happen, because he's their creator. As soon as he's prevented all infinites would dissappear and never have been born.Which also causes another weird time loop issue where if the infinites are prevented from existing in the first place, then our entire past would also change, as they need to exist for current events to have even happened. Prevent murozond -> prevent the infinite flight from being born -> we never see the infinites in dragonflight as they.. you know dont exist -> half the events of df are erased?I genuinely genuinely think that the rise of murozond is completely inevitable, because preventing him means changing the time line, which causes a bunch of issues for story telling reasons. Unless the next expansion is a giant time line and azeroth reset where we see the consequences of murozond never existing and have to correct it or something, or it being the start of a new wow decade and world
