There's gotta be more after mythic or in the last chapter of the campaign or something.
Worst expac ever from gameplay to story
another lame cliffhanger? can no one in this universe speak direct sentences? "what is to come..." same as in 9.1 sylvanas "he can not reach...". its just so lame.
Can't wait to see the inevitable forty minute Taliesin video explaining how this was a great cinematic actually and how we're all wrong. It's gonna be good.
It's TREMENDOUSLY bad and if you defend this garbage, I just don't know what to say to you.Every single cinematic is nothing but bread crumbs that explains nothing and leaves you with yet ANOTHER cliffhanger. Beyond words for just how bad this crap is.
That's it? Thanos wasn't enough now Blizz is trying to turn him into Sargeras/Illidan too? "I did the bad because of the bigger badder guy just you wait and see!"No thanks.
No it didn't, that would mean that the Undead player race would be gone too, they have a mind but are still technicly scourge.
I dont know what people were expecting of a cinematic about the worst villain. With that very very low bar i thought the cinematic was a solid 'meh'.
Finally its over.https://youtu.be/qAIrj_Vqdfc?t=23
get on with it
This expansion is ending with a whimper. Just like WoD this xpac felt so out-of-place, rushed, and just...not well thought out. Like it's major purpose was only to set up other, better things. Shadowlands is being used to set up the conflict that will spread across the cosmos and all the other cosmic forces. Just like with WoD, and just like with so many threads in other expansions, this mostly feels like wasted potential. Zovaal didn't have to be portrayed this way and would have been a more effective villain had he not been portrayed this way. Like, most of the plot points could have all been massaged just ever-so-slightly to become a more cohesive and compelling story.
Sargeras 2.0.... Let's goooooooooooo!Big Sigh
So we've went from speculation that the Jailer would actually be right due to the pre-release movies where the covenant leaders were all messed up. Denathrius was corrupt, Necro's were in civil war, Nightfae seemed heartless and Bastion was mindwipe city, to the Jailer being ALL WILL SERVE and all shades of grey seemingly being wiped away, to Jailer actually trying to do something positive as the team desperately tried to paint the shades of grey they'd removed back in?Feels confused and messy. Also just makes me all the more annoyed with what they did with Sylvanas. Her "redemption" after she realises the Jailer was actually a bad guy looked *!@#$%ed. Maybe they could have done something interesting with her if the Jailer was actually doing something of arguable benefit and she was onboard.Instead she just looked stupid for not realising he was a badguy or stupid for being onboard with it until the 11th hour before deciding to step back after doubling down time and time again.
So now we defeated the upper lord of all evil and now theres yet a bigger evil? Lame stuff. This #$%^ has gone too far. Defender of the shattered world, champion of azeroth, warlord of Draenor… champion of the cosmos.. what could be there more? At this point. We are a demigødx.. so why would we be bothered about the next threat.
There is literally nothing they can do now to make me more apathetic to the story now.
Now we know that the whole Shadowlands was pointless. Nothing was given, nothing was learned, it just started and ended. Its story will be forgotten in a year and nothing memorable will stick out of it. GG!
I'm beginning to see why this is the end of chapter 1 in the WoW story. I'm not overly impressed. I'm not overly this is really really bad. I didn't expect much and I'm hoping there's more in 9.2.5 to answer some stuff.I really am hoping that the start of chapter 2 on April 19th is a fresh slate of stuff we can love cos this...I don't feel anything but numb.
