The first time you get next to him, he greets you like below:

Wrathion says: Ah, if it isn't my favorite master assassin! I was hoping I would find you here in Pandaria.

It might be that he says this to rogues only or even rogues with legendary daggers only. Needs to be checked by other classes/rogues without legendaries to be confirmed.

WARNING!Rogue who donePatricide aka got Fangs of the Father will get reputation with The Black Prince as soon as they enter the inn for first time.(He will greet you with sentance Tithanas posted above when awards rep).
Rogues on first or second stage get no rep.
Amount: 6200 + perks, such as Diplomacy, Mr. Popularity, Unburdened(untested) and other.
Battle Standard of Coordination/Battle Standard of Coordination don't increase rep gain. Tested by Biftard(see reply to this post, and upvote him! :D)

I have chosen the name "Wrathion." To my knowledge, I am the last of the black dragons.

My father was Deathwing, the Wroldbreaker, the Aspect of Death, the Destroyer... But I hope you will not hold that against me.

I have no love for my father, whose corruption destroyed my race, or for the Red Dragonflight, who stole away and experimented on my egg to create me.

Let's just say, I am... unaffiliated. And I am always on the lookout for the like-minded heroes.

Breath of the Black Prince Quest Guide!

Stage 1: Introduction

Seek out Brewmaster Tsu(A), Seer Yong(A), Kurong Caskhead(H), Cook Tsu(H), Defender Azzo(N), Teng Firebrew(N), or (N) to begin your journey.

Upon speaking to one of the NPC's above, you will receive Mysterious Note and the quest to deliver it to Wrathion who can be found at the tavern in The Veiled Stair.
Wrathion will provide you with A Legend in the Making, and invite you to share a drink with him. Speak with Wrathion, who will then enter a short cinematic explaining the importance of your assistance.
When the cinematic has ended, you will be given two quests which you will need to complete to continue.

Stage 2: First Steps

Trial of the Black Prince
This quest requires you to obtain honored reputation with The Black Prince. A new faction will appear in your reputation tab, and reputation can be earned by killing Mogu/Matid enemies in the Vale, Townlong, or the Dread Wastes.
Base Reputation Gain (Non-human, w/o Mr. Popularity, or Standard of Unity):
-Normal mobs = 10-12 rep
-Elites = 15-30 rep
-Weak Mobs = 1-3 rep
-Rare Elites = 40-45 rep

Note: If you do not wish to sit and farm reputation, it can easily be obtained while killing enemies for your Golden Lotus and Klaaxi dailies.
Rogues ONLY Note: If you have completed Patricide, you do not have to do this quest.

The Strength of One's Foes
This quest will take significantly more time and dedication. To complete this quest you must first obtain:
-10x Sigil of Power
-10x Sigil of Wisdom
These sigils will drop from bosses located in Mogu'shan Vaults, the Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring raids.

Note: As of the time of writing, these sigils do in fact drop in LFR and currently do not drop more than one per boss.

Stage 3: Yes, This Will Do Nicely!
After completing both The Strength of One's Foes and Trial of the Black Prince, you will receive the quest Fear Itself from Wrathion.

Fear Itself
To complete this quest you must kill the Sha of Fear in Terrace of Endless Spring, and loot the
Chimera of Fear
Breath of the Black Prince
After you've turned in your Chimera of Fear, speak to Wrathion once more and he will offer you a choice of the following legendary Gems:

-Crystallized Dread +500 Agility
-Crystallized Terror +500 Strength
-Crystallized Horror +500 Intellect

Note: These gems can only be placed into "Sha-Touched" weapons (See Below) and after turning in the quest, it is rumored that Wrathion will begin selling the gems to you at a currently unknown rate.

Stage 4: Wrathion's War
More information will be added later as I continue to update this guide. Chapter 2 of the questline will be released in 5.1 so stay tuned for more information!

Note: Breath of the Black Prince appears to be the item responsible for turning an item into a legendary. It is unknown when this will become available, but I imagine it won't be until Chapter IV.

So this means... that the egg you've helped Rhea 'secure', in the quest chain that takes place in the Badlands... hatched to become Wrathion.

While he says he killed all of the remaining black dragons, with the exception of Nalice, whom you kill yourself in the Rogue legendary quest in Cataclysm. Sabellian remains unaccounted for.

Remember him? No? Figures....

He is the only major black dragon MIA, or for all we know, one of the many NPCs Blizzard forgot about over the years. Maybe Wrathion forgot about him too.

Wrathion has a new set of on-click voice quotes for 5.1. I'm not sure if they change as you go through his questline, or if he's just stopped saying the old ones.

Fun fact! When he summons the globe we get a glimpse of how the world map connects on the "rear side". It's about the same as the globes in Halls of Lightning, but this one is a lot more detailed. Azeroth is really, really small.

The new Alliance Shieldwall Military around the Domination Point Dailies give a good amount of Black Prince rep, about 23 each. Sometimes you will get 32 or more from the stronger ones. They re-spawn very quickly and there are loads of them. You could go it alone or get a group of friends or random strangers and just go a farming. They also have decent Mote of Harmony drop rates.

Of course this likely applies to the Alliance side as well, though I haven't tried it out yet.

Wrathion seems a bit ungrateful considering if the Red Dragonflight HADN'T stole his egg and cured it of the taint (and at great cost in lives on their part) he would have ended up dead with the rest of the black dragons.

An interesting thing I noticed is that a copy of The Saurok and the Jinyu is somewhere behind him. If you haven't read it yet it's basically the fable of the scorpion and the frog - the moral of which is that you can't overcome your nature...

Wrathion's bodyguards are named Left & Right, which could be a reference to 'Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire)', in which Lady Redwyne's bodyguards are named like this.

You get reputation for killing members of different factions. In the game's universe this would cause more tension between the already volatile relationships. This is guy is an instigator.

Now this is a story all about how, my life got flipped turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how i got my legendary from the Prince of the Veiled Stair. Iiiiiiiiiin Mist of Pandaria along the way, farming windwool is how I spend most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and killin' this rare cause he's a tool, when I see a guy, looked up to no good! Tavern in the mist hut made of wood, I took one little look at him and I got scared and he said, "I'm Wrathion, the prince of the Veiled Stair!” I whistled for my mount and when it came near, horns had gold rings and had a tail in its rear, if anything you know that that drop was rare but I thought "alright, gotta help the prince of the veiled stair!” I. Pulled. Out my broadsword and slew the sha, proves myself in his trails, from raid finder to azshara, looked at my cape, i was finally there! Sittin' on my throne with the Black Prince of the Veiled Stair!

Turns out to be the main mastermind behind another force that causes "Warlords of Draenor". He presuming kills Anduin Wrynn (He lives thankfully.) due to the fact he cares for him. After Anduin frees Chromie who was imprisoned by Left and Right. A big plot twist indeed.
