Rewards: Roggy.

Roggy is the most slowly Snail, to win his race you have to let mobs that can spawn attack the other Snails while you keep speed up him.

How to do Una corsa verso il traguardo:

Wait for the race begins.
Speak with Corry while the race are starting.
Select the Treats corresponding to the Snail.
Use the Treats to speed up your Snail and win the race.

Treats:
Dolcetti per Scherzuccio: Encourage orange snail "Tricky" to move faster.
Dolcetti di Ritrosia: Encourage blue snail "Bashful" to move faster.
Dolcetti di Brulee: Encourage teal snail "Brulee" to move faster.
Dolcetti per Roggy: Encourage orange snail "Roggy" to move faster.

Notes:

DON'T KILL MOBS THAT SPAWN IF THE MOBS DONT HIT YOUR SNAIL.

You are able to work together with other players to make Roggy win if you all pick Roggy's treats. Having multiple people throwing treats to the same snail made it easy to turn the odds of the race in your favor! Also Roggy the pet keeps his cute little hat that he wears during the races.

I was just granted this pet at Renown 2 (not 7...), after completing the Slow and Steady Wins the Race achievement. I wasn't even participating in the snail race, I just happened to be nearby.

You don't have to have a quest in order to obdain Roggy, you just need to help him win a random race.

I first summoned him to show someone the new little snail I had got the other day and I screamed "ROGGY! YOU HAVE A HELMET! WHY? AHHH I LOVE IT"
Little surprises like that impress me :)

This appears to be problematically buggy,

Roggy can not win even if you give him treats throughout the race, in fact the treats for him largely appear to do nothing. Race hazards have to come out and stop the other racers. If you don't see them spawn you're not winning the race for Roggy.

Best to stay as far back as possible from Roggy so when the hazards do spawn they don't see you as a target instead of the other snails.

Also you have to have the treats on you when the race ends. I had the treats at the start of the race, it bugged out (as it seems to be do a fair bit) and the treats vanished from my extra action button, roggy won and it did nothing.

That said if you have 2 people feeding Roggy he will win even without interference, so just grab a friend.

After finally getting Roggy, I've decided that the poetry in this is that it's exactly as fickle and frustrating as snail racing really would be.

I don't see how you can get this without "assistance". I was lucky to have two niffens attack the first two snails, then later have another one attack tricky (who's very fast but seems very vulnerable to attack). Luckily, no one ever seems to attack Roggy.

The only advice I could gather is to stay far away from the snails. If you attract aggro from any of the snail-attacking mobs, then you've most likely already lost. Beyond that, it's just luck as far as I can tell.

Since everything bad happens mostly for the snails, which are winning. I did 2 blue treats for Bashful and then 1 green treat for Brulee, to make sure Roggy is the last at the start of the race, and then i proceeded to feed the Roggy as fast as i could. Green snail was stunned by the mob, the blue was attacked. I was able to win the race with Roggy closely competing with Tricky.

This one is awful to win. The Rock Vipers spawn first, and one never seems to aggro on to any snails, it just roams around the race track aimlessly, and it has a large aggro radius so it's impossible to get near Roggy without pulling the Rock Viper. And as soon as you attack, you lose your Roggy treats and have to sit and wait forever for the race to finish. =S

Roggy can't be completed solo, it takes several players tossing treats, because the treats are only half as effective as the ones for the other snails. Like just about everything else in the caverns, requires a group.

Roggy is a pain in the arse! It took me 4 runs to finally get him to win. It's all RNG.

Not only is he the slowest snail, his boost barely makes him faster than the other snails at normal speed. Plus, he wanders all over the track.

I was ahead on the 2nd run but just before the finish line he swerved left from the bottom of the track to the top so all the snails passed him.

I was finally lucky to win because the little dragons blowing fire stunned all the other snails enough for me to get ahead.

I tried to do this solo maybe a dozen times, was starting to wonder if it was even possible. Had to use the restroom, came back dead from the vipers. Right when I returned to my body...Roggy won. I was a bit dismayed but also encouraged that Roggy could win. Took 3-4 more tries and he barely beat Tricky (who seems to win the most often).

As far as I can tell, this snail does not come up as a weekly quest - at least it's not in a regular rotation (I've been checking for a few months); however, you can choose to buy treats and feed him in any race to get the achievement. For those talking about losing their treats partway through the race, check your buffs as the treats have a one-hour timer and you can repurchase them if your timer is getting low. I have never had my treats disappear from engaging one of the npcs attacking the snails. Also, in all of the races I've done with Roggy as my target, the npcs have never attacked him (although I've had snakes come after me) so like Corry (the treat vendor) says, you can ignore them if they're not attacking your snail.

Here i am in last days of dragonflight. After months of waiting, for a weekly quest for Roggy, i understood that the Roggy quest will never come (it does not exist). Just accept the quest given for one of the 3 other snails, then you'll be able to talk to Corry to get treats for Roggy.

Fun fact, when i took the quest, the race was already at 1/3, roggy and an other one were behind, but anyway, i tried. With the treats, I made Roggy come back in 2nd position, far behind the first one.

But close to the end, an npc came in the race and stopped the 1st snail (for a very very long time if you don't kill him). So my Roggy took the first place and i got the achievement and the battle pet.

EDIT : very fun fact, the time to write my comment, an other race started in which one i haven't interfered at all, back to the game, it was 3/4 of the race, Roggy was far 1st, without the help of any player. Nice job Roggy.
