looks interesting, but seems a bit odd for a tank. Considering that you always want your diseases on not for the extra damage from your other abilities, but because they give debuffs to the mob's attacks.

Read the link to the burning blood at the top of the page ^^ "Cause's owning DK's abilitys to treat the target as if it had two diseases active." Says right there it just treats it as if there is two on the target. Does nothing if two are already present.

This bonus might be a bit OP for DW frost. If the debuff has 100% uptime, or even better, if it can stack like rend or Unholy Blight then hitting targets with 2 weapons might increase the damage done by this x2.

If you keep Frost Fever up with Howling blast on rimes, you get it's damage. You won't have to cast Plague Strike at all, saving you 1-2 runes a minute depending on spec allowing an extra Obliterate. All you need to find then is tanking items with Expertise/Haste on them to get the bonus. If you are lucky enough that these are gloves and legs that you buy easily, then you can replace them with surplus VP when you have your Token-Gained tier items to get the 4-piece bonus which might be better.

If the 2-piece tanking bonus is better than the 4-piece dps, then you can wear 2 pieces tank and 3 pieces dps to get both 2-piece bonuses.

Blizz has already said on several occasions they have no intention of making bosses immune to damage types anymore. The only things bosses areimmune to are CC-type mechanics.

Completely agree with jooquase, and disagree with Scharr. Diseaseless rotation is something you dont want to have, unless you are either dumb, outdated or have 30k+ dps' and a good bunch of MD. As jooquase said, getting diseases means constant -20% attack speed and -10% attack damage, which is cruicial on many trashpulls. Even if you save 2 gcds, you will regret it. Also, the GCD is not a problem on neither trash nor bosses.

Unlike Plastud's idiotic ever question, the REAL question is: Will this disease be pestilentable? And will it keep the effects of both Frost and Scarlet Fevers?
Pestilence says it affects only DK personal diseases, so answer is not obvious. And set bonus description does not say anything about additional effects.

So if it is, and chances are that it is - unspreadable and effectless - this "DoT" is useless. Of course, for 25man or very tight setup\coordinated 10mans, it's possible to keep Frost DKs refreshing Frost Fever(or similar other class ability) on your target, and some warrior\druid to generously use Demoralizing Shout\Roar. That means it indeed helps. But not GCD - it saves runes. Gives you an additional death strike once every minute. But that's it.
Just like plain t11 2p bonus 5% DS damage is barely noticeable, this bonus is cosmetic and depends on one's gameplay.

Also, after taking a look at other tanking 2p bonuses, I've come to conclusion, that this effect WILL stack with diseases, but will not give additional damage to our abilities. What does it mean? As other 2p bonuses give slight damage bonus in terms of DoT(whereas T11 gave just 5% raw damage), this will just add us same DoT, which, in our case, can also save us some runes on single boss fight, provided we dont need our diseases' effects.
~~I hope some hardcore enough Blood DK, who gets 2p bonus this or next week can confirm or deny this post. If you want to downrate - either reason it or learn to play Blood.~~

Edit: CONFIRMED - It stacks with your diseases, it does not provide ANY debuffs(10% AP or 20% AS) and it can not be pestilented.

i find it utterly sad that blizzard implants tanking mechanisms so that we will basicly never risc loosing aggro, and then they give us set bonuses that has no real effect other than boosting our threat slightly.. would have been a good ability for dps, but utterly useless for tanking anything serius.. give us anything that will increase our survival skills!

Questions:

Is the target's attack speed reduced, as in Frost Fever?
Does Scarlet Fever apply with this proc?
Will Blood-Caked Blade benefit from this (I only ask because of the ever-present possibility of oversight on Blizzard's part)?
Can Crimson Scourge proc with this effect?

800 damage - procs off taunts, melee swings, any attacks
the dot can crit.
864 damage with a CoE type debuff
does not gain benefit from bone armor

No idea why, but taunting will trigger the effect. Death gripping and non melee attacks don't trigger it.
It spreads through Heart Strike so if you have at least three enemies attacking, all three are going to have the debuff if you heart strike once every 6 seconds. As it stacks with the other diseases, it causes heart strike to have explosive threat from a pure damage output and even contributes about 5% of total dps which isn't too shabby.

Tested in a duel today, and Burning Blood does not apply the tanking debuffs (attack speed or melee damage reduction.)

No guarantee this applies to PvP'ing or PvE'ing, so caveat lector.

For PvE tanking, it's useless, you will have both diseases up for obvious reason

but could be something usefull for pvp where purge and cure can't remove your 2 diseases at the target but otherwise useless

as a casual frost dk im still using a 2 piece of this just for the set bonus..
extra oblit damage is pretty awesome extra oblit damage and a small fire dot

will phase it out If i win 2 piece from lfr that I dont use for my tank set

still able to usually pull first or second in lfr with my sick frost dps...

seriously i love this set bonus.

extra oblit damage.. saved runes not having to put up plague strike disease and fire damage... its pretty crazy
