I found mine on Kota Peak, just NW of Kota Base Camp (where you have to mark the goat poop lol). It was a secondary to a Summit kid.

After searching the whole of Kun-Li Summat with no luck, I decided to try my luck in battles. After 15 battles I came across about 7 Alpine Foxlings or so. I was holding out for a green/blue quality one but gave up and tamed a poor one for Pandaria Safari. I'll go back at a later date to try and get a rare one.

This pet is larger than the Alpine Fox Kit and I think over double the size of the Baradin Fox Kit, for those that want a pet fox that isn't mouse sized.

I hope they eventually have a red fox companion this size in game.

These SMASH you if they use a combined Howl and Flurry. Was collecting around Kun-Lai summit and noticed some hitting for 3 x 240 hits a turn.

Pity there no 4 breeds, would make an excellent Pvp pet.

These have a pretty strong tendancy to spawn as critters instead of battle pets, so you might have trouble tracking them. They can show up as adds in battles with other pets in the region, so you might have more luck battling 高山小羊 and 昆莱小雪人.

Got a bizarre one yesterday.
When I started the fight, the frame around the portrait kinda glowed gold.
I looked at the stats and it was a 25 green with 300 speed.
I looked at my blue quality 25 in my collection and it had a speed of 289.
So, I captured this, leveled it back to 25, and it had a speed of 300.
Used a stone to make it blue quality, and it dropped back down to 23, leveled back to 25, and it now has a speed of 325, with attack of around 260.

Edit, captured in the Shado-Li Basin in Kun-Lai Summit at 39:68.

Finally got some pets high enough to capture one of these guys, so I headed up to Kun-Lai Summit. I came up from Townlong and what do you know, just about as soon as I entered the zone a pawprint appeared on my minimap and.. it was the foxling! Yes! Ran over as fast as I could (I wasn't 90 yet) and there was this beautiful pet. Right-click... Rare! YES! Cue me dancing with delight at my luck.

Then I look at the two adds. One was an uncommon Alpine Foxling and the other was a rare 高山狐狸崽. And of course, you can only capture one pet per battle. So I had to kill the other two. >_<

This is how Blizzard screws with me. In the days since I've been checking the area and doing random pet battles hoping for another rare kit add, but I've only seen the adults and they've. All. Been. Poor. Sigh.

All that said, I looove my foxling. :D The size alone makes it one of the best pets in the game IMO, especially for hunters who were unhappy about their fox hulking out when they tamed it.

Farmed this today. Landed for every Alpine foxling & Alpine foxling kit i could see. When they are in packs (1 foxling, 3 kits). Just skull one. Check if there's a rare secondary. If not, flee and kill the skulled one. Move on to next target.

I got my rare foxling as a secondary pet to a foxling kit.

Best way I found to farm a rare of these is if you find a set of these guys (1 Foxling + 3 Kits) battle any of the 3 of them and leave the last one. After ~5min of so the set will respawn, saving you the random fly around and giving you another 3 battle chances.

According to WoWhead: mine is S/B breed. But it's listed on the non available breeds for this pet? My pet is poor quality, lvl 22 with: 1024 hp, 185 attack & 196 speed. I suggest updating the info, maybe Blizzard added more breeds? Edit: sorry I accidentaly got confused here. Thought this was Alpine Foxling Kit section. Don't make the same mistake as I did!

Can confirm that this pet comes in S/B and an unknown breed with 958 hp, 178 power, 210 speed as an Uncommon.
