How on earth does this work? He isnt getting any stacks when i do this.

He gains a debuff stack every time he approaches the water. Keep killing mobs that attack him until he reaches 8 stacks.

In order to kill 碎肢 he needs 8 stacks of 腐化火花 which he gets every time he runs out his rod once.
He gets 1 stack every time he is there /way 61.5 51.5
Kill the adds and take the agro from him then it will go faster.

Since the aura doesn't seem to appear on your target buff/debuff bars, here is a weakaura that will show how many stacks splinterlimb has when he's targeted. That way you can at least convince yourself that you're making progress.

Assuming you're fast clearing enemies attacking Splinterlimb, it takes him 2-2.5 minutes to gain a stack. So you're looking at 15-20 minutes from 0 stacks (or does he start with 1?).
