There are some Lv. 70s at Dragonskull Island on the top right island of Forbidden Reach (Dracthyr starting zone). Impossible to hit and we die with two hits because we are only Lv. 60. Don't know why there are there and what we can do there.

In order to capture a soul with 空荡荡的灵魂牢笼 (crafted by 珠宝加工), the elemental must die while casting 气阀灵魂吸入器 (crafted by 工程学). The best method is to use dots, as well as stuns to prevent any abilities that may interrupt the cast. Once you receive the soul. do not open the item until the "Encaged" turns into "Docile", which will happen once the 15-minute timer expires. Docile souls may contain pets, but the majority of the time it will contain the elemental crafting reagent,

EDIT: You no longer need to use dots, as the item now applies a 30-second debuff to the mob.

There's a ledge on the mountain at /way #2022 52.4 30.0, that you can safely sit at to camp without aggroing any mobs while waiting your 15 minutes to kill another Earthshatter Elemental to get another soul. It's also a good spot to stay and pull the elite there to kill without any extra mobs being pulled.

These elemental souls should be candidates for the worst crafting materials to gather.

To order to craft something using a soul:
1) Have an Engineer craft you a Zapthrottle Inhaler
2) Have a JC craft you some soul cages
3) Go to a select few spawns across the isles to suck off an elemental
4) Mess up the suck and wait for respawns because if you go solo have fun struggling to coordinate a DoT/Pet kill while sucking without getting interrupted
5) Wait 15 minutes for your reagent to "form" (Hopefully you didn't crack it open early)
6) Head back to the AH to get the rest of your crafting order materials
7) Place your order (Hopefully you sucked off the right elemental!)

Any future use of your time hunting these souls is pointless because they are BoP and are used to create BoP gear. So I don't see it worth investing your time into soul farming unless you really want a specific crafted item. They would be worth a lot of gold if these were tradable since they are a PITA to gather.

So you zap the Earthshatter Elemental and it leaves a debuff on them. As long as you kill them while the debuff is on, you are good. He will keep interrupting you but as long as he got the buff, it will work. You will then receive and Enraged Earthen soul. The zap gun will be on a 5 min cd but you have to wait the 15 mins for the Enraged Earthen soul to turn into a docile earth soul. Then you can open it. Once opened, it has a CHANCE of dropping the pet. The Enraged souls stack up to 1000. Once you have opened it, you are free to try again. (This is going to be a long process to get all 4 pets.) I hope this helps.
