In case you're wondering how many people are needed to defeat this mob: as of this point in the expansion (see patch), I have defeated him in a group of five (that's just how many people happened to be around at the time). It's possible that it will take you fewer people.

Soloed today as a BM hunter, 229 ilvl. Not at all difficult as long as you keep your pet healed, and avoid the frontal cone Magma Wave ability. Simply move around to the side when he casts this. Long fight as he has a lot of hit points.

Loot was underwhelming - 87 stygia, a minor sellable, and 100 faction with Ve'nari.
