We believe that this will be the vessel from which you get either an 帝蚕蛾 or an 帝蚕虫, it is slated to be a random occurence while doing your daily imperial silk cooldown.

5.1 Update: You seem to always get a cocoon when doing your cooldown now, and the pet has a small chance to drop from that cocoon, you will always get a piece of imperial silk inside the cocoon. 和谐之歌 will not at this time produce a cocoon.

My Cocoon only contained an Imperial Silk today, I assume its a chance to get one of the pets from it. Will try again tomorrow :)

Created while doing daily tailoring cooldown 帝王丝绸
It has a chance to drop 帝蚕蛾 or 帝蚕虫. I can confirm it drops 帝蚕虫 as I got one a few minutes ago while doing my CD (on live servers)

I'm not sure if I'm really lucky or drop rate is kinda high, I got 3 Imperial Silkworm out of 5 cocoons.

Got an Imperial Silkworm last night, this morning just silk. Wonder if wowhead will change this to a "container" like a lockbox so we can get a breakdown of drops inside.

I also got one when I was harvesting my crops from the Sunsong Ranch with my tailor. Contained only imperial cloth though.

Anyone knows if crafting the pet requires flying mount? When i crafted a cocoon today, after crafting done it said Requires Wisdom of the Four Winds skill

AFAIK the battle pet is uncommon quality. I found a rare quality one in the AH for 1500g. I can only guess someone used a pet stone to upgrade. I'm currently auctioning this off to try and determine the value of the battle stone (they are BoP).

You have to be in Silken Fields (64.58) in order to craft this item. The area can be found in the center of Valley of the Four Winds - southeast of Halfhill.

As of 5.2, this now can contain recipes for items that are item level 522! 落花便鞋 was given to a friend of mine after he opened his Caccoon. So save up those mats and make these, because they have a chance to contain a 5.2 raid-level gear recipe!

To create one 帝王丝绸 the Tailor can use the Materials-patterns 帝王丝绸(550/600) or 和谐之歌(560/600).

The Requires: Silken Fields in those patterns is a zone requirement.
You need to be in the sub-zone Silken Fields of 四风谷. The next Flightmaster is “飞翼”小雅

The pattern 帝王丝绸 creates the 蚕茧, that always contain exactly one 帝王丝绸 (and sometimes the companion 帝蚕虫 or 帝蚕蛾)

I think it's safe to say that the pet drop rate has been extremely nerfed this patch. Maybe bugged?

So far out of 3 Royal Satchels I've made, I got ZERO pets.

i made one of these everyday for the past month and a half and no worm or moth dropped out of them. the drop rate may have changed

Back in MoP I made probably 10 Imperial Silkworms but no moths. Now it looks like it' harder. I've done 2 silk a day , on 2 toons for the last 2 weeks, and not one pet yet. It's definitely nerfed , all the other profession pets may take time but you still know you'll be making one, not so with this.
