Very nice transmog staff and currently the best source for farming it. Only 3 other staves have this model and one can no longer be obtained. There is one from the new Theramore event which isn't live yet and the last one 救赎 is from Willey Hopebreaker in Stratholme. He takes longer to get to and Redemption has among the lowest drop rates in his loot table.

Easily the best staff that drops on lower levels and will remain so up to lvl 60

The high spell power is unique on a weapon this early in the game. I believe this is the only staff with direct +spell power you'll get until Outlands, where one of the first rewards is Staff of the Twin Worlds. Interestingly enough, this still has more spell power.

Edit: If you have the heirloom staff, you should pass to a caster/healer that doesn't have it. If you want it for the transmog, you can always return to get it but the spell power will be very helpful in leveling up for those without heirlooms.

Durand and Whitemane killed 30 times over last two days. Zero drops of this item. Wondering if maybe its been removed from their loot tables. Has anyone looted this recently? Maybe the RNG gods are just unhappy with me; perhaps I havent made the requisite sacrifices. /shrug

Both Casters and Healers alike highly covet this staff if they don't have an Heirloom. No other weapon gives this much of a spell power bonus until Level 60, and those weapons come out of Raids, the 60 PvP vendor or from Outlands. It is definitely worth your time to farm for this weapon.

Don't know if this was a fact or coincidence, but it seems that if you kill Durand first the chances of the staff to drop increase, I tried with a level 90 friend and he kept killing Whiteman first, but after 12 tries it still wouldn't drop, I suggested the idea and told him to kill Durand first, and on the second try it dropped along with some other caster goodies.
