Finally managed to buy this on the beta after an insane amount of grinding.

It currently costs 50 Ironpaw Token but you cannot purchase it untill you have completed the quest 成为大师 from 孙行·铁掌 which involves cooking all level 600 meals from all 6 cooking specialisations.
This quest is the last in a series given by her after gaining 600 cooking skill.

Using the Bell summons Nomi who then gives you quests of his own which reward reputation with him.
第1课：蜜桃片 - Obtain 5 熊猫人蜜桃 for Nomi (sold by Sungshin Ironpaw)
Grants 1000 reputation with Nomi

After 8400 rep (Acquaintance)
第2课：速食面 - Obtain 5 速食面 for Nomi (sold by Sungshin Ironpaw)
Grants 1000 reputation with Nomi.

After 16800 rep (Buddy)
第3课：烤鱼片 - Obtain 5 金色鲤鱼 for Nomi
Grants 1000 reputation with Nomi.

After 25200 rep (Friend)
第4课：金针菇干 - Obtain 5 金针菇 for Nomi
Grants 1000 reputation with Nomi.

After 33600 rep (Good Friend)
第5课：打糕 - Obtain 5 大米 for Nomi
Grants 1000 reputation with Nomi.

Once you cross the rep threshold for a new quest, you can complete the next lesson on the same day, cutting your progress time by 5 days.
There seemed to be a little confusion so I'll clarify: While gaining reputation with Nomi he will only give you one daily quest a day. As you progress and he gives you a different daily quest, you can comple both the very first time, but after that the new daily quest will replace the old one.

When you hit exalted, 'best friend', with Nomi he now gives you 谢师礼
You will recieve 5 of a cooking ingredient of your choice ( 百年陈酱 / 米粉 / 黑胡椒 ).
As well as giving you 围裙.

Following this he will then give you 一点心意 every day.
It rewards you with one Ironpaw Token and 诺米的点心, a bag with three to five of a random level 600 food.
( 疯酒师的早餐 / 清蒸肥蟹 / 黑胡椒肋排配虾 / 春卷 / 海雾米线 / 魔古鱼汤 )

Fastest way to earn these Ironpaw Tokens used to purchase this is probably fishing. One stack of fish can be turned into a Bundle of Groceries which in turn you can give to Nam Ironpaw and earn one Ironpaw Token.

You can buy the empty bundle containers from Merchant Cheng, located at Halfhill.

In the case of Golden Carp you will need 60 to turn into a bundle.

You need 50 Ironpaw Tokens for this item and 50*20=1000 of any fish except Golden Carp which you would need 50*60=3000

You can also do this with all other cooking supplies, including the one you grow on your farm, but fishing is probably the easiest and fastest way to go.

NOTE: You will need to do all the starting quests and this quest: Preserving Freshness before you can start handing in Bundle of Groceries.

NOTE2: And of course you would need the 'To Be a Master' achievement to actually use the bell.

Just got the bell on live servers. it still works the same as beta. The only way to check your rep with nomi is to talk to him and look at the friendship bar.

You can also buy the bell, do the daily quest, then turn back in the bell each day for the 50 ironpaw tokens.

For those of you who are like me, and may wonder. Does it act as a companion following you around..? Yes it does, i did not see anny coments about this particuler question so i thaught i should comfirm it.

It acts as a secound companion, takes up the Guardian spot if u got other guardian pet items.

Obtaining this item is one of the most sadistic grinds that Blizzard has ever invented.

First you have to get 熊猫人烹饪大师 which at a glance doesn't seem too unfeasible. Get six different cooking skills to 600.

Then as you get into it, you realize you need 百年陈酱x1 for every 5 skill points you get past 575 on each of the skills, for a grand total of 30. Which isn't bad until you consider you generally need 50 veggis and 20 meat per 5 points of skillup.

The meat is easily farmed, but at the most you can grow 80 vegetables on your garden (Assuming you already have Exalted with Tillers and have unlocked 16 plots and you never follow Jogu's suggestion because you need specific veggies). So (50 veggies x 5 skillups) * 6 skills = 1500 veggies / 80 per day = 18.5 days. (Saving the Ironpaw Token you get from the daily for than Soy Sauce instead of any other mats.) Of course a lot of this can be skipped with Gold, but the mats for a +5 skillup item on my server is about 750g total.

THEN, you have to complete 成为大师, which requires another 6 Ironpaw Token mats (米粉 and 黑胡椒) not to mention more mats to cook all max stat food.

At this point in the process, you'll have 10 Ironpaw Tokens (from the reward for 成为大师 because you spent all the others on 百年陈酱 AND having to farm mats for grocery turn ins for MORE Soy Sauce), meaning have to either wait 40 days and do the Daily for a token every day, OR farm 800 of any meat for grocery turn in.

All for you to ring the bell ONCE have Nomi ask for peaches. It's very anti-climatic.

It's ~42 days (with no rep boosts/perks) until you reach "Best Friends" with Nomi and roughly 3 months before you break even on your initial investment of 50 Ironpaw tokens with 一点心意.

This grind is not for the weak hearted, unless you are a serious completionist, just do the Cooking Mastery for the stats you need and skip this item.

Even though it's super cute to have both her and 银色小步兵 run behind me at the same time.

Doing 诺米's quest is affected by reputation modifiers, such as 声望阁下, Pilgrim's Bounty 分享之魂, and the Hallow's End 恐怖面容 , and the human racial 外交.

The Cooking School Bell and its following quests may be there in order to unlock an easier grind for your alts.

The Frying Pan and Rolling Pin each grant you +10 cooking skill. The Apron, which can be bought only after the last quest from Nomi, completes the set for a total of +30 cooking. These items are useless on the character that unlocked this since they already have max skill, but can be transferred to your alts.

As I don't have any of these items, I can't tell if the set grants you skill in each way. It should, which would mean you don't have to grind the banquets to get the best skill food for your class. If not, it puts your alt back at the beginning; grinding the way to get the best food.

Hopefully someone will post their experience which confirms or negates this.

Just make sure you sell 烹饪学校大钟 back after each daily quest.
This way your 50 Ironpaw Tokens will remain yours after the end of the long quest chain.

All this time I had to gather my own materials to learn cooking. How is it, now that I'm a cooking trainer, I have to get the mats for my student! WTF!

I'm sorry but the kid needs to go grind some lions, tigers, and bears (only some of which are made of meat) before he can have a seat at MY school of cooking.

Did the continuing daily off Nomi get removed or is there a limit of how often she will thank you?

Got her maxed weeks ago, and today after the latest hotfix they did for 5.2 she stopped having a daily for me for the free token and her bag.

One thing I didn't see mentioned is you can buy Ironpaw tokens.

One Ironpaw token for each spirit of harmony (the horde guy is at shrine of two moons) and that can make a big difference in how fast you can get your 50 tokens for Nomi. I got at least 20 Ironpaw tokens that way.

I got the cooking bell and have used it for several days, but the only cooking lesson I get is Lesson 1. I don't see Nomi's reputation anywhere. I how do I know what my rep is with her?

I find it disappointing that after over a month of questing with this little bugger, all you get is a 10 point achievement and an apron. I personally think that a title or a transmoggable item is more in order with the time required to do this questline. Granted, it's not difficult on any level, but it requires tons of dedication.

When you are done this grind, Nomi gives you 一点心意 every day. The good part of this reward is that the food items you get are materials used to create the Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart Kit.

For those returning to these quests, completing the quest in Draenor will give you a reputation bonus if you have a trading post, as a human I receive 1299 per day
