Yes, if you had this armor before 2.3 it should be blue and have updated stats now.

They added 6 strength, got rid of the useless 7 spirit, and put on 8 stamina. Makes it an awesome Feral Druid (twink) armor.

Strangely, the bonuses on this chest piece also look very appealing for warriors and paladins. After all, Blackened Defias Armor is considered the best chestpiece for those classes at 19, so this item should be viable as well.

With a 3 piece set bonus you get 4 expertise.
My questions are -
Would it be worth it to swap this out for BDA?
Is 4 expertise worth it @ 19?
If not this armor, then what 3 pieces would you use to get the bonus?

So the 2.3 patch drastically reduced the strength in this gear? I have only really played for about a month an a half. Finally made it to lvl 50 with my hunter but I am searching and helping my cousin how to get gear and play this game. So please tell me. Is it even worth searching for this gear for him (lvl 17) or what suggestions do you all have.

Does anyone know what the drop rate of this armor set is? I have the Armor of the Fang, and the Belt of the Fang dropped the same time through the instance (I lost the need roll to a ninja Warrior. X_X). Since then, I've never seen anything in this set drop, even though I've run this instance 3 more times. Do I even have a chance to grab the rest of the armor in this set, or should I just leave it alone. (I'm a Lv. 24 Resto Shaman)

I currently have a lvl 32 and i have this set i am only missing the feet.
I was wondering if this is ok or should I go farm some better armor if so what should i get.
And I am grinding so i dont really wanna get to far of my path.

Actually Shayser... Enh Shaman is the ideal class for this set. They make use of all the stats and all the set bonuses. If they are are feral to use the stats they will rarely use the spell bonuses. Enh Shaman's normal attack rotation uses all this set has to offer.

A feral druid with a resto sub-spec (or one who just ends up healing a lot) would benefit just as much as an enhance shammy.

It's not just spell damage, read it again, it's also nature effects, which include a rogues poisons, a hunter's serpent/wyvern sting, and a host of non-spell nature based abilities...

Ok, guys i am going to go ahead and state this. This chest piece is good for warriors/pallies/shammies/druids. NOT ROGUES! this has only 1 stat good for a rogue, and that is stam, str is basically useless. so rogues, if you are in a group with one of the above classes, dont do like the rogue in my last group does, and kick them from the group when they win. i speak from past experience, i got cussed out and kicked from group cause me(warrior) won this over a rogue.

but them saying that i deserved to be kicked just because of being able to wear mail aint right. a lvl 18 green "Of the Monkey" would be better for a rogue then this, besides, armor doesnt exactly matter at this lvl anyway, its all stats. and there aint nothing better at this lvl. what i am saying is rogues shoudnt be angry when a warrior or something beats them in a roll for this, there is way way way better for them.

ironicaly all 5 items dropped for me on my first run of WC as a feral druid (lvl 11) while being boosted
and i believ this armor set is for druids becouse:
its leather
it has intellect and strength and agility and expertise
it drops from a druid clan gone mad!

I got this baby my very first run through WC. I put it on my hunter, along with the other four pieces, and it pwns! I have around 700 health non-enchanted, and 1000 mana. The +10 intellect is also very good if you have the talent : Careful Aim : on your hunter.

All of the Embrace of the Viper set is obtained from Wailing Caverns, a level 17-20 dungeon at about 46,36 in The Barrens

Belt of the Fang from Lady Anacondra, the first boss (9%*)
Footpads of the Fang from Lord Serpentis, the sixth boss (21%*)
Gloves of the Fang (BoE) from Druid of the Fang, a dungeon mob (1.6%*)
Leggings of the Fang from Lord Cobrahn, the second boss (18%*)
Armor of the Fang from Lord Pythas, the fourth boss (60%*)

Now this set is aimed towards enhancement shamans and feral druids. Now with the set bonuses giving massive amounts of intellect, agility, stamina and even some expertise. Of course some items like the gloves are still good for 19 twinks.

Regardless of class, with a drop rate of 48%, this chest is a sure bet when you start leveling a dps leather wearer and you don't have a heirloom item.

Unless I'm mistaken, there're no easier blue alternatives until you do the "kill-the-boss" quest at Gnomeregan.

For shoulders, I found Preened Ironfeather Shoulders look okay with this set, at least until you can find Headhunter's Spaulders which are ideal.

From a piece of doo-doo this item is now probably one of the best 19,20 and 24 twink leather chests

Best part is, you can get it at level 16, but it's armorage and stat allocation are equal to that of a level 30 green! So as much as you hate it, hit up WC! You probably wont replace that thing until your mid 30s or so unless you have the leather boa chestpiece
as an icing on the cake there are also set bonuses

@ 10-19 bracket (Ilvl 24) scales to +9 Agility / +6 Stamina.
