This is a completely baddas enchant for weapon... 1000 ATP is a LOT!

But it has his cons.... you fly whit this or whit Avalanche you will have a lot of Dirt in your face

Put this on my warrior's Vicious Gladiator's Decapitator - It procs from abilities as well as white swings. It procs often and will even re-proc to renew the 12 second duration. However (depending on price of Maelstrom Crystals on your server) it is very expensive, it cost me around 10,000 gold.

Confirmed as best in slot enchant for any Melee DPS as above poster has claimed.

Highly recommended that this enchant is only placed on Epic items, as it is extremely costly (due to rules of my guild however, dedicated raiders get end-level enchants on Best in Slot weapons for free) for those who are attempting to straight up purchase the materials via Trade or Auction House. However, it is worth every gold, and is an extensive upgrade over the second best enchant for Melee DPS, 附魔武器 - 飓风.

Materials list:

- Hypnotic Dust (6)
- Greater Celestial Essence (5)
- Heavenly Shard (5)
- Maelstrom Crystal (5)

For those who may not know, or haven't researched, Maelstrom Crystals are only from Disenchanting Epic (359 item level) items. The other materials, such as the Shards, Dusts and Essences are very easy to acquire, and are often so prolific they cost hardly anything.

I have submitted a screen shot of this enchant for those interested.

This enchant is now substantially cheaper to purchase (and farm) than before, with the addition of Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub in World of Warcraft patch 4.1.0, Rise of the Zandalari. You can now gain Maelstrom Crystals via disenchanting the new item level 353 Epics from these instances (and some of their associated quests), but still cannot gain them via 352 PvP Rares. You may also buy them for Justice Points and Honor Points from new vendors added.

To clarify, Feral Druids (and for the sake of argument, Hunters) should be using the 附魔双手武器 - 极效敏捷 enchant, not 附魔武器 - 山崩. A Feral Druid Tank would want to use 附魔武器 - 风行 for a pure avoidance fight, otherwise the +130 Agility enchant is just better overall regardless of the fight. Fury Warriors, Arms Warriors, Retribution Paladins, Combat Rogues, Assassination Rogues, Subtlety Rogues, Enhancement Shamans use Landslide. Death Knights use 冰锋符文 and or 堕落十字军符文.

With the massive influx of Maelstrom Crystals on the market, due to the new Looking For Raid feature and the three new Heroic Dungeons, all part of World of Warcraft patch 4.3.0, Hour of Twilight, has changed the rules about this enchant; the Maelstrom Crystals are now one of the cheapest components for this enchant, and it is prevalent on most servers that the 天界碎片 are more costly than the Crystals themselves. Keep in mind that Enchanters can now also 漩涡碎裂. The enchant itself is unchanged, and remains the same as prior incarnations of this post.

Does it stack if you 2H duel wield? I've got it on my main hand and +130 agility on the off. Will making both landslide help?

Yes it stacks & its great, I save the other attack power cd & get some nice crits (fury)

Nah tested it out on my feral druid landslide is better.

as a feral druid (i bear and cat) the 130 Agi is much MUCH better than landslide. Agi gives cats and bears EVERY stat they need.

Really, landslide for Ferals is like Strength gear for Ferals. Yeah. it will work, but its not the best route you can go.

(and if you "tested on your feral" please provide a name, server, and theroycrafting showing that its better, because everyone from EJ to the official forums to the world top ferals are using the 130 agi enchant if there kitty, or a tossup between 130 agi and windwalk as bears.

Just bought this for my fury warrior. On my server it now costs 1000g, all the way down from 12.000g. I was amazed and since I just had sold Scales of Life, I decided to buy 2.

These things are AWESOME. Sometimes, the proc at the same time with raging blow, which gives you 2k atp, and sometimes renews before the duration is finished. A must buy for strength users, especially fury warriors.

Can be Proc'ed by Lightwell

Not only does using your weapon in battle cause this enchantment to proc, it procs occasionally when clicking a Lightwell that a priest puts down. I also have a Holy Priest and want to encourage tanks and DPS'ers to use the Lightwell more often when it is available, and this is another benefit for clicking it for a powerful HoT. There is a macro available on the Lightwell comments page for quickly targeting the Lightwell, so that it doesn't take away much of your valuable time tanking or DPS'ing the enemy. In long boss encounters, where a Priest may quickly burn up their mana, using the Lightwell may help prevent a wipe.
If anyone else is aware of other activities, besides using the weapon in battle, that may cause this enchantment to proc, please comment.

Note: I have a Fury Warrior with this enchantment on both of my weapons, and the increase in DPS was highly noticeable when I tested out my weapons before and after applying the enchantments. With the beta for the next expansion out, I have noticed many of the mats needed for this enchantment have come down significantly. For example, shortly after Cata came out, Maelstrom Crystals cost over 1000 gold each. I recently purchased many of them from the AH at 50 gold each. I can only assume that people that had enchantment mats stockpiled want to sell them before the price plummets even further as MoP's arrival draws near.

It's kinda late in the game but if you are wondering whether this enchant is worth getting as an enhancement shaman instead of landslide the answer is yes and here's why:

Base proc damage is: 463 to 537

I mainly do PVP and have had at least 40% additional spell damage from mastery since I was in quest blues/greens. Avalanche does still benefit from enhancement's mastery bonus, so at 40% the above would now become:

Proc dmg with 40% mastery bonus: 648 to 752

Avalanche can and does proc from melee auto hits, spells and dots. It also procs off each windfury hit as well as flametongue/frostbrand procs, so when you use this you will be adding a substantial amount of damage potential to each hit.

Let's compare this to double landslide, which many people claim is the best. If you have 2x Landslide and both proc at the same time, you gain 2,000 attack power PLUS 20% from unleashed rage, which means 2,400. For spells, 55% of that AP benefits you as spell power, so 1,320 additional spell power.

If you do some basic math to calculate the DPS gain from 2,400 AP it works out to 171 DPS (2,400 / 14). With 100% uptime on your target (which is unlikely in pvp) you would do an additional 2,052 damage for the duration of the dual landslide procs (12 sec).

Obviously, the net DPS gain would be a bit higher because of the additional spell damage you gain, however as enhancement our main spell, lightning bolt, has a relatively low spellpower multiplier of 70% so 1320 SP is worth about 924 extra damage per lightning bolt.

Our shock spells' coefficient is even lower, 38% for both earth and frost shock and 21% for Flame shock (although we do get 10% per DoT tick which adds up to 60%). In essence, earth and frost shock will hit 500 damage harder (less than one avalanche proc), while flame shock will initially hit for 277 extra damage plus an extra 792 total for its DoT duration.

If we average out the avalanche proc damage (648 + 752) / 2 we get 700 damage per proc. This means if avalanche procs AT LEAST 3 TIMES within a 12 sec period, it produces more damage than landslide does even if you do not get any crits.

Realistically, avalanche will proc quite often with every attack if you have it on both weapons, especially with the windfury glyph, the dots, and the bonus damage from the off-hand weapon (flame/ice).

On a target dummy I did a 314 second test which resulted in 358 melee hits and avalanche proc'd 146 times, doing 121K damage overall - this translates to a sustained 385 DPS.

When you consider that landslide's proc rate is much lower than avalanche, and that it really only benefits you when you can stay on target it doesn't really make sense for an enhancement shaman to choose it over avalanche for pvp. Even if your mastery bonus is lower than 40%, an avalanche proc off any of your melee or spell attacks is going to be higher than the total you gain from BOTH landslide enchants proc'ing at once.
