This glyph now makes you move at 150% normal speed while in Aquatic Form. This is now faster than the 140% in Travel form.

Indeed, I was wrong. I looked it up on wowwiki though:

(Base swimming speed is 66%)

Aquatic Form increases swim speed by 50%. Take note that this 50% increase is of the 66.6% base swim speed, hence giving a 33.3% bonus. Thus the net effect of this form is to allow you to move at 100% normal running speed, in water.

Since this glyph uses the same wording as Aquatic Form, it's likely that it works in the same way too, making AF give a total bonus of 100% to the 66% base swim speed, and ending up at 133%. If someone can test this that would be nice though.

Btw, the bonus % on this was changed from 20% to 50% in PTR build 9014.

Speed detection addons are stating the new swimming speed in aquatic form as 135%.

If you haven't been to Northrend yet and still have a minor slot free or an expendable glyph, I highly recommend picking up this glyph. Since mounts still dismount while crossing water, as well as numerous quests across water or beneath it, you will be spending more time in aquatic form than you think.

For 70-80 questing, I highly recommend picking up this glyph.

I highly recommend picking up this glyph for druids of all levels, because no other Minor Glyph is as good as this one when it comes to the sheer fun it provides. When you look at the maths, the boost doesnt seem very impressive, but ingame, you become a torpedo :D

When i am in a party with some people, and we go underwater, i outspeed them so much i can swim circles around them. Also, when you swim backwards, you still swim pretty much as fast as they do :)

Its practical too. Are you being ganked by a player that is just too high for you? Jump into water, and swim off shore for a few seconds. You cant drown, and there is just no chance for them to catch up with you. Questing underwater becomes way faster. Also, in Feralas, its actually faster to swim to Feathermoon Stronghold, than taking the redundantly scenic ferry...

A must-have glyph for me :)

I picked this up on my alt as soon as he was high enough for it (16, same level you get aquatic form). It comes in handy. I havent been in a situation yet where I needed to get away from a ganker, but just for leveling in general its great. For example, I am finishing up in Darkshore, which is a really "long" out zone with a big coast line. Instead of running from one end to the other (the quests send you to the top and bottom of the zone) at Feral Swiftness speed, I just jump in the water and swim the length of the zone in half the time.

Hrm, have to wonder how useful this glyph will be with the incoming ability for mounts to swim. Northrend seas tend to be quite a dive even with a 2 minute breath meter.

This glyph ought to allow you to jump in Aquatic form as well, in my opinion.

I jump constantly while running somewhere, and I find myself doing it on accident while swimming somewhere, just to be shifted out D:

I love this glyph! You sure do feel like you're going super fast in water with it and that makes water quests much less painful.

The glyph appears to be working correctly, but there is some confusion because the Aquatic Form swim animation appears to have been changed, thus giving the impression you are going slower than before, even though you are not.

A good explanation of how it is working as intended can be found on the official forum here;

I just checked this in Stormwind canals with patch 4.0.3a;

Swimming in caster/ normal form (67% Run Speed) = 4.72/ yards per second
Swimming in Aquatic Form no Glyph of Aquatic Form (101% Run Speed) = 7.08/ yards per second
Swimming in Aquatic Form with Glyph of Aquatic Form (135% Run Speed) = 9.44/ yards per second

Note: the increase is additive not multiplicative, or, 50 %/ 100% added to base Run Speed.

I also thought something was wrong, hence checking around and testing, so I guess to many it will feel slow at first.

I am not sure how/ if it will stack with the Vashj'ir Sea Legs buff;

With the Sea Legs buff this glyph makes your Aquatic form as fast as the Subdued Abyssal Seahorse.

Druids with this glyph don't need the seahorse mount in Vahj'ir, you'll go just as fast.

This glyph does not stack with 豹之迅捷. You will remain at 135% movement speed while swimming and using 被烧毁的雕文, regardless of whether Feline Swiftness is taken or not.
