The version posted by Aseigan is great but cuts off before the end. The complete version is included in Makko's German version. You can read the contents of the log at the top of the page if you click through it.

Some people may not know what the log was. A Ship's Log was a book maintained by the Officer of the Watch for every ship of the Royal Navy in commission. From the National Archives web site:

Description:
These logs were books maintained by the Officer of the Watch for every ship of the Royal Navy in commission. They provide a permanent and consecutive daily record of the ships movements and position, recording all wheel and telegraph orders, weather encountered and other events, such as the employment of the ship's company, any deaths on board, disciplinary action (i.e. the reading of punishment warrants), loss or damage to stores and any other items of interest, such as visits by dignitaries of foreign officers. Logs were not kept by ships under major refit, which account for some gaps in sequence.

It is a reference to the popular sea shanty 'Drunken Sailor' also known as 'What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor?'

Given that 塞德瑞克·斯塔姆比尔 has an eye patch, which was added in patch 2.4.3 and the 漂亮的义眼 (added in 2.4.0) has the initials C.S. on it also found in the 钓鱼宝藏, I am convinced that he is the Cedric referred to in the log. Especially given the likely outcome of a fire onboard being the last entry in the log; and Cedric is Undead...
