As a survival hunter I am once again sadly disappointed in the fact that blizzard thinks all hunters share the same requirements.

The schematic for this is dropped in the new 25 man, Sunwell Plateau, that's coming in 2.4.

As always, they will own hunter's set headgear (2.0>t4, 3.0>t6)

After some fast calculations, i compared those goggles to Cursed Vision of Sargeras from a BM's Hunter PoV, assuming the meta is 12agi/3% inc crit dmg, the yellow on cursed: Smooth Lionseye (10crit), and the Blue on those either Jagged Seaspray Emerald (5crit/7sta), either Shifting Shadowsong Amethyst (5agi/7sta). So, as we can see both of those dont have either intellect nor mp5 therefore the difference between "leather" and "mail" except on the armor value almost doesnt exist.
(->without head enchant and kings buff)

•Cursed Vision of Sargeras: Crit chance: 3.445% ap: 159 hit: 21
•Surestrike 3.0: either, a) (with 5agi/7sta) Crit : 2.82% ap: 145
b) (with 5crit/7sta) Crit: 2.92% ap: 140 and Hit (both gems): 26

Can anyone confirme if indeed its Cursed>Surestrike 3.0 for bm hunter? Would help me alot. Ty in advance

Over Surestrike Googles v2.0 you get:
+19 Stamina
+13 Hit Rating
+13 Crit Rating
+28 Attack Power

Its BOP and requires( ENG-350) to wear? Its impossible for any player with ENG-350 to wear these goggles. They are BOP so only the maker can wear them. And they can only be made by a ENG 375. So the requirments for the goggles are incorrect.

That's whole lot of crit rating O_O. This is really a beast mastery hunter needs, lots of crit and ap, and some hit (if you're not at the easy to reach cap yet).

This has slightly better stats than the other 2 melee dps goggles The mayhem and leather goggles for rogues, with more hit and AP.

I the "use" ability on these seems useless imo. Since bith classes (i.e. shaman and hunters) have abilties that do exactly that.those abilities being far sight and eagle eye

EDIT: Meant to attach behind bigbradball's post.

The on use effect is completely different from both far sight and eagle eye, the on-use effect zooms your vision forward, magnifying anything you see greatly, Far Sight and Eagle Eye both change the location of your perception completely.

Another item that does the same thing is http://www.wowhead.com/?item=5507.

The only thing people really use the on-use effect for is taking screenshots of characters // bosses etc, it does let render objects a little farther away too though, so a little PVP use.

I found the 2.0s useful for AB. You can use the 2.0s to zoom in on the other flags and see how many stinking Horde are guarding a flag.

Have to agree about the agility. This is a great item, but no agi on the hunterversion really makes it fall through. You'd expect a Itemlevel 159 hunteritem to outperform Ilevel 151 rogue gear as a hunter and agi is the culprit.

Was considering taking up engineering for these, but guess I'll wait in line for the cursed vision.

People keep calling these hunter goggles.... they are not hunter goggles, they are MAIL goggles. Remember that these are for enhancement shaman as well, and they aren't going to have 2 different patterns for both classes. So stop assuming every piece of mail is for hunters.... and this is coming from a survival hunter! I am fine with shamans rolling on any mail items because gosh darn it, they are people too... and they give me mana and agility totems!

Anyway.... what I really want to ask is... WHAT DO THESE GOGGLES LOOK LIKE?! Why no screen shots? Are they the same model as V2.0, because that would suck if they were. Then you would look like every other scrub hunter out there. I hope they are cooler looking, because my guild may do drunken Sunwell trash on weekends, and I wanna pick up the recipe.

I'm really not sure to put this on my hunter (markmanship). Why? Coz this goggle doesn't have any agility.
But some people told me just use this thing because it has more attack power...

Are they wrong? Or am I wrong?

It drops in Black Temple.

I would think Coif of Alleria would be better because of the armour bonus and the increase for intellect, and you can buy scopes for increased hit rating and use talents in BM for haste ratings

Oddly enough, I can see enhanced shamans benefiting from this too. The Hit Rating and Attack Power is what really gets my interest. I wouldn’t buy this item for an enhanced shaman, but I’d definitely consider wearing it off a drop. Too bad I don’t have engineering to wear them anyway. lol

My Weaponsmithing makes up for it. :P

In Patch 7.3 Blizzard changed many of the old Engineering-only BoP goggles from BC, Wrath, Cata and Mists to be BoE which means they can now be sold on the Auction House or traded. Keep in mind, they still require a certain level of Engineering to equip. A complete list of the items that were changed can be found here.
