I don't understand Blizzard. These fist weapons obviously go with the Shaman Tier 5/Season 2 set, yet the offhand has a 1.5 speed? I understand that they can be used by other classes, but come on...if you're already going to make the weapons match a Shaman tier of armor, then at least make them good for Shamans. A 1.5 speed offhand is terrible for enhancement.

hokay, so I was thinking... I got the main hand (god it looks sooooo good, but I digress) and was wondering what the proc rate on the 2 piece set bonus was. if it's high enough, wouldn't the offhand still be decent with flametongue?

Still, I don't think I'll get it cause I just got a rising tide, but for the sake of argument I was wondering.

Wrong. MH swings more often, even though your passive OH weapon speed is greater. Sinister strike swings MH weapon. You are probably applying your poisons backwards, too.

But I do agree the set is really worthless... especially with the badge loot you can get without ever running MH.

The only reason for any class to pick up this set is if their weapons are truly, truly horrible or just to wear around Shatt. Enchant them both with Fiery, equip your full Tier 5, stand in the middle of Shatt and pop Heroism/Bloodlust. Feel the admiring stares for a minute, then go put them in your bank and forget about them forever.

This shouldn't have suprised us really. Blizzard fails utterly at itemizing Shaman loot. Always have. I wouldn't even mind if ANY class could really use these well, but they're best for Hunters and there are even better options there.

So I know everyone says sword spec is the only way to fly when it comes to raiding but to those people id like to say that yeah, sword spec is the best raiding spec out there, but when you have both of these babies, fist spec very good. I was sporting the Blade of Infamy (MH) and the season 2 quickblade (OH) and when i got the set of Fists of Molten Fury I changed fist spec only cuz they look so awesome and I found out that, as long as you have a Shammy with WF in your group, my damage output actually went up.
Im guessing its cuz even though the proc doesnt seem like that hard a hit, it procs CONSTANTLY, sometimes even chain procing to (my own record) 4 times in a row.
Also, with dual mongoose and my gear/spec's crit level, both my white damage and sinister strikes criting so much, Its comparable to losing the extra sword hit.
Right now there are 2 other sword spec rogues I raid with, one wearing the Blade of Infamy (MH) and Season 3 Vengeful offhand sword and the other with my old sword combo and I still top the charts.
I was thinking on getting the badge fist weapons since they are so powerful until I got my hands on the Illidan swords, but they look so crappy compared to these that I guess I can stick with these babies for a while, until I get bored or the Blade of Savagery finally drops so I can maximize the potential of my Blade of Infamy.
So as a former sword spec rogue who looks much cooler now with these, i have to say dont be so narrow minded about specs, if the weapons themselves are good, it could work for you fine.

For some reason Blizzard gave these only 75 durability points. Most other rogue weapons have 105 points or more. After raiding for awhile mine almost broke while my other gear was 60% or more. Its still a nice weapon though.

Got my MH last night completing the set...looks awesome. Respec to fist; switching from the Talon and Merciless Quickblade.

Will be interesting to see how much the proc gives in terms of pure dps.

First on Steamwheedle Cartel EU to have both.

Put Executioner on MH, mongoose of OH....looking forward to raid tonight ;-)

Must be the best looking weaponset in the game!

The proc rate is right at 5%. I used proc watch with auto swings on halaa guards to find out proc rate. I then tested this on special attacks, of which also cause the proc at 5% . That means they are happily buffed by haste *giving you more ppm*

Running about 1300 dps shows that I do about ~.9% of my total dmg from the proc of these fists--Recount*dmg review

To compare, the Shattered Sun Pendant of Might *scryer*, had a slightly higher overall dmg of ~1% of my total dmg done on 1300 dps.

All dmg from the Molten Fist proc is buffed from Curse of Elements. The Proc DOES NOT crit--unlike the pendant of might above noted. The proc CAN be resisted--though why/how is unclear.

My DPS did increase over my Talon of Azshara, Merciless Gladiator's Quickblade, for two reason: The DPS increase as well as the % proc. Though the total dmg increase was only at about +1% on 10 min *halaa guards again* In both cases I was hit capped/expertise capped.

Though they aren't the BEST weapons in the game, they do look very nice. I would suggest that these are above the dps of the badge weapons, although I have yet to test the badge pair.

I got this on my hunter just awhile ago, since hunter's are one of the 2 classes that would mainly benefit from these (other being rogues, when specc'd properly). But, I would also like to know whether the proc occurs on ranged attack.

This has dropped at least 5 times for me now, all from the waves before the first boss. The main hand however, still refuses to drop.

There is a very interesting glitch that happens when you are engaged in combat and are in a combat stance after right clicking an enemy, have thunderfury equipped in your offhand, replace it with this weapon and switch them back and forth, eventually, or randomly, thunderfury will stay on your back while this fistweapon is equipped, therefore you can now raid/dungeon/quest/BG while looking like a total BA with thunderfury on your back while using 2 of these fistweapons, I'll post a picture of this glitch so you all can see it.

THIS set makes me wish that you can turn any 1h into any other 1h.
If I want to use these as warrior, then I need to pvp and get the pvp-fists (elite) in order to not drop to much dmg.

As of patch 5.1, the Fist of Molten Fury is now a one-hander, so if you're transmogging it you no longer need to farm specifically for the Claw.

I happen to get the Fist today while clearing toward Archimonde. Sadly, since fist weapons are still invisible on monks, I won't be able to enjoy it anytime soon, but I look forward to the possibility that I will someday!

Just got a fist weapon for the first time as a healer, and want to use this transmog. What's the best way to farm it? Drop rate lists the mobs in the Horde area, so is it best to clear to 3rd/4th boss then farm the 8 waves over and over? Someone mentioned getting it off the trash from first boss, but not sure if that's accurate.

For those of you who want to know a way to reset the trash and farm it endlessly on the same lockout keep reading:

1.) Talk to Jania to begin the trash
2.) Kill trash until the 8th wave (let the 8th wave spawn but do not kill it)
3.) Take the 8th wave to the alliance town area and kill it
4.) As soon as the last mob dies the boss will spawn. At this point, run as fast as possible to the hills on the east side of the map (or as far away from Jaina/alliance npcs/the boss as possible) and wait for the boss to kill the npcs and Jaina (this takes a couple minutes). Just to be clear, you will technically be in combat, but as long as you don't touch the boss and the boss does not touch you, the whole encounter will reset. Once you "wipe" (just a reset, you won't die) everything despawns and you have to wait about 3 minutes or so for everything to respawn.
5.) Repeat steps 1-5

I am not 100% sure that this is the absolute BEST way to farm for the claws or other trash drops. But it is the only sure way I know of to farm the trash endlessly and it beats the heck out of only being able to run the place once a week. I got my claw after about 10 runs, not sure if this is typical but it's somewhere to start. Be patient and you will get your item eventually. Good luck, I hope this helps =)

Edit: You may or may not be able to do this or something similar at the orc base for the infernal waves (the infernals supposedly have a higher drop rate). I have not tested this, feel free to try it and post your results here.

I have been trying to farm this item for some time with the reset tactic before first boss without success but I have gathered some info at the same time.
All data is gathered with rogue 515 ilvl in assassination spec in 25 man mode.

Average time for full clear (from when you speak to jaina to when you speak with her again).
~12 minutes 8 seconds

Reputation gain per clear.
1135.5 Reputation to The Scale of the Sands

Loot
Mostly gold and Netherweave Cloth
From the epics they drop I got all the items except the fist weapons and couple of the recipes.

Fist weapon drop chance
The 8th waves before the first boss consists of:
50 x Ghoul
22 x Crypt Fiend
12 x Abomination
12 x Shadowy Necromancer

If we calculate the drop chance using the formula "1 - ( ( 1 - x ) ^ y )" where x is the drop chance and y is the number of "runs" in this case the number of mobs, we get the following:
50 x Ghoul = ~13.9%
22 x Crypt Fiend = ~10.4%
12 x Abomination = ~4.7%
12 x Shadowy Necromancer = ~4.7%
And add up the chances we get a total chance of ~33,7% (Most likely I !"#%ed up the math as I have cleared the waves 35 times now)

Please correct me if my math is wrong (probably is all @#$%ed up).

Just a quick observation & tip while farming the Fist as Enhancement. Do NOT use Magma totem to AoE the mobs down, as it works the same way as a kill with a pet does single handedly. There is no experience gain and you don't get loot either. I also turned off Lightning Shield just to be on the safe side. I just Chain Lightning'd them at 5 stacks of Maelstrom. Happy farming!

I think I got very lucky and got both of them in the same run! if I didn't run back to the entrance to get out I wouldn't of got them!

Make sure you go back as more monsters that drop this item are at the beginning area

Just got 2 fists drop on 4 reset of the waves mobs also the first wave doesn't seem to drop any loot
edit: it takes about 5 minutes and 15 seconds to kill all mobs and the boss to kill jania(or whatever her name is) then it takes about 3 minutes for her to reset

I've been on and off farming these over four years, maybe 6-8 runs of this raid in total. I'd get frustrated when trash stopped dropping epics, and found out just last night they disable drops after a few resets.

Finally got these last night by a combination of the Rage Winterchill reset (only can be done 5-6 times) and running back to entrance to kill newly spawned Undead:

Did the trick where you stay out of combat as Rage Winterchill spawns, let him kill Jaina and wait 5 mins for reset to farm Rage's trash multiple times. Unfortunately, after 5 or 6 resets the trash stops dropping epics entirely, even after waiting 1+ hours.

Killed Rage Winterchill (I needed his bracers for xmog set).
Tried to farm the trash before the Dreadlord boss with resets, but epics didn't seem to be dropping after 2-3 resets.
Killed the Dreadlord boss.
Run over to Thrall, killed the waves of Undead and the Doomguard boss.
Tried the reset strategy for the Pit Lord boss since his waves of Infernals have a higher drop chance, but only got 1 epic per set of waves and the waves took too long.
Killed the Pit Lord boss.
Ran to the end and killed Archimonde.
IMPORTANT: After killing Archimonde, I ran back to the beginning of the raid. On the way, I killed the undead the Night Elves are fighting. Once you get to where Jaina was, A HUGE mob of Scourge (20-25 Ghouls, Abominations, etc) will swarm you. THIS is the group that dropped my 熔岩怒火之拳.

Confirmed these still drop. Used the reset method on Mythic 25-man difficulty. In all, it took about 15 attempts, with each attempt taking roughly 15 minutes.

1.The first wave drops NO loot for some reason
2. Right after killing and looting the last wave, follow the road that exits the Alliance Base to the north-east and wait just outside the Alliance Base for the boss to kill Jaina.

I just started farming the set, I got the claw on 3 resets but i'm farming the fist now and when I go to the collections tab its not showing the fist so hopefully it still drops because I received another claw today on 4 resets.
