I can't see how you think these are better than the tier 6 Lightbringer Greaves.

Let's compare them:

TIER 5
+59 Strength
+27 Agility ( 1.08% crit @ L70)
+42 Stamina
+23 Intellect
+21 hit
Yellow Socket (+2 Str)

TIER 6
+68 Strength
+48 Stamina
+22 Intellect
+Critical strike rating by 38 (1.72% crit @ L70).
+9 mana per 5 sec.
Red Socket (+2 Hit Rating)

Which means that the Lightbringer Greaves have:
+9 Strength (19.8 AP)
+6 Stamina
-1 Intellect
+0.64% crit chance
-21 hit

Which will be changed by (rare) gems and socket bonuses:
Let's say that Crystalforge Greaves will be socketed with Inscribed Noble Topaz so you will benefit from the +2 Str socket bonus.
+0,18% crit chance
+6 Strength / 13,2 Attack Power*

Let's say that Lightbringer Greaves will be socketed with Bold Living Ruby so you will benefit from the +2 hit socket bonus.
+8 Strength / 17.6 Attack Power*

So you lose a bit of hit rating and a mere 15 mana. The loss of hit rating will most likely not be a problem, since the hit cap (when speccing Precision for +3% hit) is at 95. This will probably already be reached by your other gear. Unless you have an equip which lacks +hit of course, but I think this will not be the case. There are also more efficient ways to compensate for the loss of +hit rating than to equip tier 5 pants instead of tier 6 pants.

* Note that the strength to attack power formula is:
Strength x 1.1 x 2 = AP
This is because of the Divine Strength talent, which increases the total amount of strength by +10%.
