I am a deep fire (raid/PvE) spec mage and currently got Will of Edward the Odd http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31340. These dropped for me and i was happy to swap them with my ugly Shadowcast Tunic http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31717. Now i regret that decision, since the upgrade is not that big and i could have gotten some good money selling them. (But thats another story)

Now I am considering to get the Mana-etched Vestments instead before hitting raid dungeons. Especially because I am very low on spellhit and already got the Mana-Etched Gloves so the 2-piece bonus would come into play. Socketed with 2x http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31867 and 1x http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24056 i would end up with the following trade-off:
+31 sta
-5 int
-13 spellcrit
-1 spelldmg
+43 spellhit (inkl set bonus)
Seems like a huge upgrade to me, especially for switching from an epic to a blue robe. And if i stacked enough spellhit from other items i still could swap to 2x http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24059 trading 8 spellhit for 8 spellcrit.

So for everyone shy on spellhit, get 2 pieces of mana-etched. Aim for Chest, Shoulders or Legs, since your first T4 pieces will most likely be Head and Gloves from Karazhan.
