Just like all BoP schematics in TBC, Its droprate is much better than it looks, since only engineers will see this drop, therefore WoWhead doesn't count it when it would have dropped for a non-engineer.

Started off grinding for the felsteel boomstick with no success so switched to this. Ground for about an hour killing nothing but the weaponsmiths and killing them fairly quickly as a holy paladin. I guess like the other BoP 360 engineering recipes it really is a matter of luck (or lack of it!).

These don't appear to have a level requirement, and are therefore only limited by the engineering skill requirement. You should be able to equip these on your lvl 50 character.

I nabbed it in the 50-100 range. Just long enough to go from grinding-face to puzzled/paranoid/recheck mode. But drop it did, and still.

The Weaponsmiths still respawn like mad, sometimes spawning right on top of their still-falling predecessors. So that's fun at least. And occasionally startling.

The helm's only level requirement still seems to be implicit (combat level 50, so you can advance to engineering level 360). Does this not look stupid-good for a 50 rogue?

Just got done farming this item. It took me about 15 minutes. I had to kill 73 Mo'arg Weaponsmiths before the pattern dropped. 5/18/2012 - patch 4.3.4.

The Weaponsmiths spawn to the North-east of Legion hold and always right next to some Burning Legion equipment - pumps, portals, fel reavers, etc. It looks like 13 can be up at any one time. They are pretty well spread out and not linked together with anything else.

Watch out for Overseer Ripsaw. He patrols the high ground north of Legion hold and paths in and around about 8 Weaponsmith spawn points. He looks kinda like the Weaponsmiths but has no chance of dropping the pattern.

I'm wondering if this schematic ever drops while in a group. I'm a lvl 58 with engineering at lvl 375 and have had a lvl 85 killing for me for over an hour and it still hasn't dropped.

<EDIT> - After 3 hrs of mindless killing of mobs in the area, the schematic finally dropped after my helper 85 easily dispatched a mob and my lvl 58 was able to loot the schematic.

so i went to farm this pattern and i thought it'd take 10 minutes max like any other outland pattern i was after.
but after around 350(!) weaponsmiths dead i started to have my doubts...
so i went to hand in a quest i started from an item dropped from a mob in the same area 伊利达雷斩除碎片, and did the follow up too 夺取武器.
and guess what? it dropped from the first weaponsmith i killed after the hand in...
no clue if there is a connection or it was just my weird twisted luck, but there it is..

I probably killed 300 of them before mine dropped. Completing both the turn-in quest and the follow-up about midway. So that is probably not a factor to its droprate. Was boring as hell so be warned.

recipe still drops as of patch 5.4.8, today i farmed it with a engineer rogue took 39 minutes and it dropped, poisons had 21 minutes remaining which i applied at the start of farming this recipe.

Is it possible to get patterns like this before you are the required Engineering level to learn them?

Edit: After about a half hour of farming I got it at Level 1 Engineering. Answered my own question ^^.

Just finished farming the schematic and boy was it boring.
Around 40 minutes, 150 or so kills, 57 total marks of sargeras acquired.

I killed what felt like hundreds of these things and never got the drop. I even things and never got the drop. I even did both the Illidari Bane Shard and Capture the Weapons quests, then went back and killed several dozen more. The schematic was nowhere to be found. I'm beginning to doubt its existence.

Took about 30 minutes or so of farming the Mo'arg Weaponsmith. They respawn fairly quickly, thankfully. Pattern dropped.

25.10.18 - Patch 8.0.1
113 kills until the recipe dropped - about 20 minutes with instant druid flying mount.

The goggles are selling for about 12k on my current realm, definetly worth farming the recipe if you can get a hold of the mats easily enough!

18.03.2020: Dropped in less than 10 minutes from the Mo'arg Weaponsmith in Shadowmoon Valley, Outland.
Looks like the golden number is around 100 kills.

As of dragonflight: took me 157 kills to get the pattern. Its a relatively easy pattern to farm considering it is from TBC. There are total of 15 mobs spread around the camp that you can kill and they hyperspawn, which means there is always few alive and you can kill non-stop.

In the 10.1.7 Patch of Dragonflight, the achievement 多彩校准：全视护目镜 got added! Included in this achievement is the 超视距护目镜, which is the most annoying and time consuming goggles to craft by far. The schematic to learn how to craft these goggles is Bind on Pick-up and therefor has to be farmed by the Engineer that's gonna craft the goggles.

The 结构图：超视距护目镜 drops from the 莫尔葛武器匠 mobs that are located around 22.2, 35.4 in the Shadowmoon Valley in Outlands.

Easy to copy coordinates to the area of the mobs:

It appears to have a 1/150 drop-rate roughly, and it took me 176 kills to get my own one, so keep up the grind! There's about 15 mobs scattered around and I noticed that there's always at least three mobs up at any given time, so just put on some good music, and fly around and clean the area and it'll drop for you in no time at all.
