These gloves are comparable to the Gauntlets of Cruel Intention from Botanica and also the crafted Ragesteel Gloves if you're looking for some solid plate gauntlets without raiding or are just starting your PvP adventures.

Ragesteel lacks the stamina but packs a bit of a harder punch, and depending on how you'd socket the APG, the Gauntlets of Cruel Intention are roughly equal in terms of damage.

APG won me over though, for two reasons - the stamina, and because of how easy they are to obtain. The mats are far easier to acquire than those of Ragesteel, and I didn't want to roll the dice in Botanica for the Cruel Intentions. Also, you can buy the plans for the APG from the vendor in Shadowmoon Village, rather than having to rely on a sketchy drop rate for the plans for Ragesteel.

Since I'm Arms spec and I mostly PvP, the extra stamina on APG was great when compared to the Gauntlets of Cruel Intention, and I wasn't about to take Ragesteel anyway without any stamina on them.

All in all, any of the 3 are solid choices for Plate DPS if you don't have access to any raid dungeons and haven't accumulated enough honor or arena points to buy rewards yet.

I used the for tanking until I made the switch to FelSteel Gloves. These were good, but the def. was a little too low for me. The +34 stamina is nice and if you put in some decent tanking gems you'll get the job done. However, if you had to choose between these and the FelSteel gloves, I'd have some faith in FelSteel and go with those.

I want to ask, what you guys think is better for PvP? My warrior is almost 70 now and I got the ragesteel gloves, but the lack of stam is making me sad...

So, ragesteel or this for BGs and Arena?

These are a solid upgrade for any leveling DK over their starting gloves, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=38667. For sake of comparison, assume a 12 crit gem and a 12 strength gem. That gives these gloves roughly the same amount of crit, while gaining 12 stam and 19 strength. If you know someone who can craft these, they're a worthwhile use of materials.
