Looted this and kept it in my inventory and found that, rarely, I would get the buff 'Cursed Pickaxe: Giving in to the curse". This turns the player character into a void corrupted Earthen for 15 seconds or so and persists through combat. I haven't noticed any negative or positive effects of this other than the cosmetic change.

You may have to tweak your sound settings to hear it. It got me good (I thought a friend was trolling me) so its definitely cursed :>

This does cancel any channel effects when it procs.
It cancelled my fishing cast!
So make sure to remove it from your bags (and not have it transmogrified) during any fishing completions you may be trying to complete such as the Hallowfall Fishing Derby

Be aware, that the proc will cancel your 攀岩设备. I found out the hard way during a Climbing World Quest...

I just got this to proc while in a pet battle without it interrupting, so there's that at least. Sorry for everyone else having problems with their own trigger mishaps.

This weapon constantly throws "You can't do that yet" error messages at me at random intervals while doing absolutely nothing. Very annoying.

for me it always triggers at the exact same time with 闹鬼的纪念品 that causes a ghost to folow you....

I got this on my Druid and it was working. But now it never does it anymore, was it hotfixed for non class weapons?

Interestingly while mounted on the Salatrancer mount 恍螈 which has a translucent green effect, the pickaxe animation is also translucent green except for the pick the dwarf wields. And then when the animation reverts back to your normal character model, you're entirely translucent green like the mount.
