This item drops from trash mobs in 安其拉废墟 and 安其拉 and can also be found in 圣甲虫箱 or 大型圣甲虫箱 in the same areas, respectively.

Scarabs are used for redeeming epic items through quests provided near the raid entrance in 安其拉废墟 or after the first boss, 预言者斯克拉姆, in 安其拉 (quest-givers' approximate coordinates are 59,68). The items that require reputation with 塞纳里奥议会 are redeemed in 安其拉废墟, while the ones requiring 诺兹多姆的子嗣 are redeemed in 安其拉.

Also, any player who has progressed through the 卡利姆多的保护者 quest chain from 阿纳克洛斯 all the way to earn 青铜龙军团的徽记之戒 may trade in their ring for another (青铜龙军团的徽记之戒 or 青铜龙军团的徽记之戒) by completing 远离保护者之路, also from 阿纳克洛斯, requiring 15x 银质甲虫.
