Do NOT sell this quest reward item! It's very helpful to get to those hard to reach treasures in Zereth Mortis, since the item gives you a teleport ability with a radius of about 8m/yards. I'd call it the poor man's venthyr teleport, but it's free and everyone can use it.

Unlike 暗影之门 teleportation, it can also be activated while you are jumping or falling.
Although it has the ability to reduce fall damage passively, it can completely eliminate fall damage by teleporting to the ground during the fall.

If you happen to sell these like me, do not forget that blizzard has an online website feature to restore scapped/sold items for months back! Go utilize that (but don't forget it has long cooldown, so don't abuse!)

You see, back in the First Ones' days, Zerith Mortis was a lot smaller. Eight yards was a "great distance" then. It was, like, halfway across the zone or something. So, yeah, there are lore reasons for this, and it's totally not a highly-misleading tooltip.

The reduction in fall damage with this piece of "Dimensional" Cypher Equipment is great for facing off against 塔克威兹, who brings you up in the air and drops you while you are fully stunned and unable to use slow falling abilities. The 维度转换器 seems to potentially stack with the Kyrian Mikanikos Soulbind's 强韧之羽 for a total of 40% fall damage reduction in Shadowlands zones.

The teleport part (维度转换器) is amazing for getting to "Elusive" ores and herbs and treasures that are otherwise unreachable if you do not have class/spec abilities such as 英勇飞跃, 抓钩, 恶魔传送门, etc; or the Venthyr covenant ability, 暗影之门. It is most similar to 暗影之门, but has a much shorter range of 10 yds at Cypher Equipment level 1, ilvl 233. As your Cypher Equipment level increases, the distance of this teleport increases, without needing to obtain a new Dimensional item of a higher ilvl. At maximum Cypher Equipment level, it has a range like or almost like 暗影之门.

However, as an advantage from the Venthyr's 暗影之门, this ability has no cast time, meaning it can be cast while jumping, falling, using a 地精滑翔器工具包, etc. Thus, for platforms that are further away than what the 维度转换器 can reach, you can chain multiple movement abilities together with the 维度转换器.

This ability is present on the following four pieces of Cypher Equipment, one for each armor class:

A valuable piece of equipment to keep regardless of the ilvl.

Worth noting, that while the IL won't improve until you get a re-drop after upgrading your Cyphers level, the AoE of this item, at least, does in fact go up with levels. I'm at level 2/6 as of this writing and the range of my gloves has approximately doubled. They were useful before, but are a LOT easier to use now. Best item I've seen in game in a while.
