For my Alts, I have decided on waiting until 掮灵的卓越印记 comes out before handing in the Story line quests such as 增援雷文德斯, as these quests all give renown. If the 掮灵的卓越印记 gives you renown 40 (regardless of that characters current renown), then handing in these quests afterwards, is a bonus, and therefore won't be wasted!

The requirement to purchase on PTR is the achieve "Renowned"

Its unclear if that is just to purchase or also to use. Do we have clarification there? Can an alt running threads of fate use this?

If you like me want to collect all 16 covenant sets, you will need a minimum of 4 characters and 7500 gold (assuming it stays at 500g) worth of this Broker Mark of Dystinction and farm a total of 680 Renown (gotta max everything at 80 to unlock the sets account wide and 1-80 on your first character).

I was curious, so I tested this right away. Once you have the achievement, you can buy this on any character, at least any level 50 or higher. It does not have to be the one that earned the achievement.

Sold by Au'Dara in Oribos, next to the flight master.
It costs 500 gold.

Can be used at level 50: ~~renown 40~~ renown 60 on low level alts (changed with patch 9.2.5, so you'll also get the higher rewards up to renown 60).
I couldn't choose a soulbind, but got the renown 39 mount in my bag and 4x 250 Anima (renown 15 and 24).

掮灵的卓越印记 is consumed on use.

Point of interest, I started unlocking Night Fae on my Pally after hitting 80 on venthyr. You want to use the item RIGHT AWAY, if you're going to level alts and alternate covenants. When I used this item it brought me to 40. I then started the covenant campaign and every quest for my soul binds that gave me a renown actually gave me two, and this includes the unlocking of the 3 soul binds. You do the quest to unlock the first and the other 2 are instantly ready to turn in, and I got 2 renown for each of them leaving me at 46 Renown before I even learned my abilities.

Every time you use this item to switch a covenant, you gain 1000 anima + the mount. If this is being used on an alt who you've just started levelling, you can use this for building up anima by just changing covenants.

Mind yourself: Once you have used this item, the renown level lasts! So, you can only use it once per covenant!

Simply said: 2000g = 4000 anima.
I consider this a bargain if you take in consideration how much playtime it will take for gathering this amount of anima.

Used the item on a fresh lvl 60 alt who I had just completed all the quest-lines and chosen my covenant, but unfortunately I still needed to do quests to unlock the soulbinds, which is a bit disappointing, but it is what it is...

Requirements:
Once you have completed 声名显赫 (reaching 80 renowned) you can purchase this item.

To clear up any confusion; You have to reach 80 renown on a single character with ONE covenant. At this point, you gain account wide access to this item.
So you can purchase this item from a vendor on an alt which does not have the achievement, or purchase it on the character with the achievement and mail it; whichever you prefer

Purchased from 奥·达拉 for 500 gold. This NPC is right next to the flight master 路途撰写师罗-阿沃纳维 in the upper level of oribos "Ring of Transference"

Extra info;
When using this item, it acts as a flat boost, not a cumulative one. So any renown you already have on a character (below 40) will be "deleted" in a sense. So if you have renown 11 on an alt and use this item, it will boost your renown to 40 and not credit you for any renown you had gained prior to that.

You need to have the achievement Renowned, meaning you need to have reached renown level 80, before you can buy this item

As of 9.2.0 apparently doent seem to work for class trials anymore to convert gold into anima at 1:2 ratio

The anima earned from using this counts toward, and is enough to complete the weekly Replenish the Reservoir. Make sure you pick up the quest first.

USE THIS ITEM BEFORE YOU DO ALL THE QUESTS (with fresh, lvl 1 renown) WHICH GIVE RENOWN OR ELSE IT WILL BE WASTED!

Tested on 25 May 2023, Dragonflight 10.1 and still works.

Get your Shadowlands starting quest 暗影国度：冷冽的召唤 in Orgrimmar/Stormwind with your Fresh 70 Level character and choose Skip & Threads of Fate options. Pick your covenant from table and after that go the the vendor directly and use 掮灵的卓越印记 . This will make you 60 renown and u will gain all rewards.

Saw this and thought "Woo hoo!", promptly grabbed a handful for various alts. Easiest xmas gifts ever for neglected chars.

However, as we're now in DF, not SL, if i try and use the thing, it simply says "You can't use that right now".

I know there's a way to view DF covenant progress etc (which I'm sure I'll remember at some point), but I have no idea if there's a way to sort of 'switch' to it so it's active and therefore this would be useable...

Would it not make sense for these things to change to match what zone you're in?

Ah the things you think are "simple", or maybe one of those "it'll only take 5 mins" jobs...

Then again the simple thing could quite easily be (and normally is) me XD
