亥离 is a rare elite new to 8.3 that only seems to spawn in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms during a Mogu assault (not the N'zoth assault).

It spawns east of the Ruins of Guo-Lai around 36.6, 37.6 and flies in an irregular, anticlockwise circle high above the ground. Without body pulling it, you can engage it in combat from the cliff at 36.9, 36.3, near where it spawns, or from the pillar at 31.8, 44.1.

Ha-Li has 4.58 million health, has a few abilities and hits hard on non-tanks.

It has a chance to drop 亥离之嗣, which is a recolour of the 季鹍之嗣 mount from Throne of Thunder.

Drop rate of the mount and exact respawn time of the rare are currently unknown but I'm going to assume it's similar to the 蜘蛛收割者. I've killed it five times now on different days/characters and in various size groups and haven't seen a mount drop, so I'm assuming it's a rare drop. Once killed, I experienced respawn times of 37, 40, 39, 48 and 34 minutes, which is in line with the Mechagon mount rares.

Currently on the PTR, 亥离 is tap-to-faction, even when war mode is off. Hopefully this will be fixed before the patch goes live.

Pretty feather coloring but, as many months I've spent trying to get Ji-Kun to drop her clutch (and she did), I'd rather not farm for a mob (that might have a worse droprate than the original raid one)
I was hoping we'd get a cool corrupted void looking version of this,but a woman can dream I guess.

So my alts could see Uldum rares, but can't get the current phase of Vale. What would the steps be to unlocking it for them? Hopefully not too much

First kill, first drop. Would be interesting to hear more about the drop rates?

Came here to find out more data, but nobody as it seems nobody has exact numbers yet.

Just dropped on my first kill, came to check on the drop rate... I'm very confused.

Definetely not 1/500. On 40-people groups, I often see 2-4 drops. And sometimes nothing. So I think 2.5-5% drop rate would be much more accurate (1/20 to 1/40)

Same droprates for Ishak/waste marauder/houndlord ren/anh-de/rei-lun (maybe a little bit less for Rei Lun one cause I've RARELY seen more than 2 scales on a 40-group man)

According to my own experience, the only who can be 1/200 or 1/500 is the one on Corpse-eater (Seen 5 drop on 89 attempts (I got the 5th :p), on 10-35 man group, so about 5/2000ish tries (=1/400))

If you kill BFA rares for pets, toys and mounts across multiple toons and want a way to track that easily, I created a do-it-yourself edit for the fantastic SavedInstances addon that adds tracking for a bunch of them like 亥离, Rustfeather, or Corpse Eater among others. You can make these changes yourself with any text editor.

Add the following lines to the Quests.lua file in SavedInstances addon folder starting at approximately line 60 (in the "_specialQuests" array):

The folks who made the SavedInstances addon have a stated policy of not adding tons of individual rares to the addon, but in comments on their project site pointed out how you can do it. It's one of my top must-have addons, and I recommend if you're a collection farmer you get it.

Got this today after i quickly joined a group and hit her at 1% hp also 3 days after mount from Ishak drops...hella week.

I normally have bad luck with mount drops, and have to farm these type of 3-5% drops 20+ times minimum before I get a mount. This time I was doing some BFA content I hadn't done since I didn't play during BFA, and I killed Ha-Li just because I saw it was a rare spawn. Low and behold, the mount dropped on my first kill, without knowledge of it being a thing. Needless to say I am happy that finally it feels like I got some good luck from RNG.

Can confirm that the mount can drop even if you HAVEN'T unlocked the assault. All you need is to get the phase and you are able to loot the mounts. You unlock the phase by doing the following:

1) Unlock BFA WQs
2) Nazjatar intro up to 心之熔炉
- It starts with 派遣舰队 / 派遣舰队
3) Start the 8.3 qline with 意外的顾问 / 黑王子归来 and up to ACCEPTING 泰坦的问题 (you dont need to complete this quest, just to have it in your questlog and you are good to go)

Is this still available? I've been back to this zone 4-5 times in the last month during different assaults in this area and nothing...really for most of the rares, nothing. Where are they all?
