You need to complete the quest 害虫成群 before you're able to do anything with the collectibles. You pick the quest up from Nokano in the part of town called "The Zocalo" it is to the west of the "The Silver" flight path, after you complete it go back to the area you got your collectible at and look for the pile of gold and junk with the sword sticking out of it, you should now be able to interact with it. The "Child of Jani" (little raptors that looks like Jani) can lead you to the piles locations if you keep an eye out for them.

The Savagemane Ravasaurs in The Feeding Grounds located east of Warbeast Kraal in Zuldazar. Turn in is at the southern most point of this area of Ravasaurs.

Golden Ravasaur Egg is part of the 巫术神灵.
Drops from 狂鬃暴掠龙 or similar nearby mobs in Zuldazar The Feeding Grounds (north-east of Warbeast Kraal windrider) .
After you loot this item you need to go to 71.69 41.28 and find Mysterious Trashpile to the east of ravasaurs area.
Use Mysterious Trashpile and you will be ported to Jani's world, speak with jani, turn in the item and receive the reward treasure chest.
When you loot this item you hear: A Guttural Voice whispers: What is it you have there, richmon? A shiny trinket for ol' Jani? Bring it closer...

金色暴掠龙蛋 needed to earn 巫术神灵 as a part of it.
You can loot it from Feral Ravasaurs or Savagemane Ravasaur mobs, drop rate is good.
After looting the egg you need to bring it to Mysterious Trashpile, coordinates are 71.7 41.3.
Click to it to summon Jani and give 金色暴掠龙蛋 to it to finish the task.

Click the trashpile, hand over the egg.
Received approx 20g in greys, 47 War Resources and 8 x Polished Pet Charms

If you happen to have picked it up not knowing what it was for at first and forgot where you picked it up (Like I did) you'll fly to the Warbeast Kraal flight point and then head NE to the sub-zone "Feeding Grounds" and go to the back of the little valley.

The coords are spot on, just thought I'd add a little more information.

I just used

/way 71.7 41.3

after I landed at Warbeast Kraal

Don't be an idiot like me and check if you have already completed the quest. If you did, this won't drop anymore. I farmed for more than an hour (few hundred ravasaurs) until i realized i already completed it, but hey...at least i got 古法厚切肉排s to last all winter!

The actual location is at the southwestern end of the canyon which is The Feeding Grounds in Zuldazar. Due South and a little west of Scaletrader Post in The Feeding Grounds. 71.70, 41.30 on your map of Zuldazar.

I can confirm that the trash pile at Terrace of the Devoted (Voldun) does NOT work for turning in the egg. I had to fly back to the feeding grounds trashpile to complete.

I see comments telling you to check your bank and make sure the actual item isnt in your bank (hence the lack of drop)..but ALSO check the "Get Hek'd" achievement to see if you have already completed THAT part of the achievement. Sounds stupid, but I checked bank, no egg..then proceeded to kill 3500 before I realized I was an idiot and had done that part of the achv......yeah
