Major change to this item over years past - the bonus experience and reputation applies to all sources, not just mob kills.

That means it now increases quest/world quest experience and reputation from items like Broken Isles faction Insignias.

To make the most of this reputation bonus, stack it with 分享之魂 available during Pilgrim's Bounty, which coincides with part of the 13th Anniversary.

ProTip: Blizzard is increasing the reputation bonus ever year according to the anniversary (11% for the 11 year, 12% for 12 year etc.)

So rather than turn in all your reputation tokens for a measly 13% this year; wait until WoW's 100 year anniversary event to turn them in!

The Celebration package buff also overwrites any tabard you wear with the one with WoW logo. It appears even if you take off completely everything, regular tabard included. "The Emperor's New Clothes" Blizzard style. :P

Can I keep it if I open the pack after the event?

If you still have the gift in your inventory, keep it there. As soon as you loot the items, those will be removed on your next logout. The items will survive loading screens so as long as you stay online, everything is fine.

This could for example be used to level a twink some time later. Or keep the gift on your character for the next expansion and get a nice XP boost then.

Unfortunately I already opened mine in the hope that I could keep at least the buff for an hour but it is also removed if you logout :(

Edit: As I had the two packages from the 11th and 12th birthday still on my bank, I was curious whether they stack. They don't. If you try to use more than one, you'll get the message, that there is a more powerful spell already active.

Don't bother opening your gift and using this in hopes to speed up the BfA leveling process, you'll simply get a "you can't do that right now" error at least after testing in beta. Historically older celebration packages worked fine outside of the event but not this time.
