黑色旋风 has a chance to drop from 锢魂者托雷克 which is found in the Shadowmoon Enclave area in 阿兰卡峰林 (the 影月谷 part of the zone) and is one of 8 flavor items that drop from the Draenor daily rare mobs (rares that have a chance to drop loot once per day).

OK, I just made my way up to Torek, and took him down, and no Toy. Do you have to kill him as part of a quest/daily/bounty?

Wowhead has no drop information listed on this page, neither is the toy listed in Torek's recorded drops on his page. Nobody has posted here about finding it, or even exactly what it does... and I cannot find anyone who's gotten one, nor any record of this item dropping at all.

Usually this page would be filled with posts of "dropped for me" "works like this" "here's a screenshot" etc by now but there's just nothing here.

Would it be a stretch to assume that it's not actually in the game? I smell another Son of Galleon fiasco....

Well, it seems we're now seeing an influx of drops all of a sudden. I suspect they quietly hotfixed it.

The blackwhirlwind dropped for me today 22:27 EST (Server) Time he dropped the Toy 'Black Whirlwind' partner who helped me kill it only got the staff.

I just got it on my 4th kill since he started spawning regularly as intended.

I got mine today without the daily, took 7 kills. but it seems from what I have tried it only works in draenor (SADFACE) but still neat, however it isn't black.

The item doesn't say it, but this can only be used in Draenor.

It does drop from Soul-Twister Torek and you don't need the daily to get it, just dropped for me.

Out of the three times I have seen him spawn and killed him while on the daily - the toy has dropped 2 out of 3 times.

锢魂者托雷克 is easily soloable so he goes down quickly when he spawns if the area is crowded. Try to get to him as quickly as possible if you see him pop up on the map.

Needless to say, unless you can survive falling off a mountaintop, I don't recommend trying this right after you loot it!

Since this item can be used while moving (and therefor while falling), it can actually be used to break falls. Upon activating this item in mid-air, you will quickly fall to the ground* without taking any fall damage.

* Warning: It will drop you down a maximum of ~30 yards, so if you intend to break a fall with this try to time it so that the 2 sec cast ends when you are somewhat close to the ground.

Soooo I dropped this some time ago but I can't figure out how it works. I use it and this whirlwing appears but nothing else happens :S Can someone explain please?

For some reason, this item can't be used in Stormshield (and by proxy I would assume Warspear). Guess they don't count as in the continent Draenor. Just an odd little tidbit of information.

I have been camping this ... individual... for the 黑色旋风 23 days on 3 separate characters...

I've yet to see the toy drop.

I'm not sure if anyone has some updated info on this guy but any help would be appreciated as the wowhead drop chance estimation on this toy is relatively decent however i've killed him almost 70 times now and i still have not seen this toy drop.

For the life of me, I absolutely could NOT get this toy to drop while JUST having the Missive from the garrison vendor. I must have killed him for just about everyday for a few weeks.

Finally, I just picked up the actual Assault and sure enough, it dropped. I know I sure as hell tried to get it with the regular Assault mission before Missives were put in to the game but never saw it. Call it bad luck or what with the Missive but I dont think it should have been this hard to get it to drop.

This toy was the most stubborn drop for me as well. I finally received it after a month had passed of repeated farming on two characters. I refuse to believe that the drop chance is 15.82%.
