If you complete the quest are you able to complete it again during the next months Darkmoon Fair? Unfortunately I didnt know that you cant complete the quest again atleast not during the same week and i had bought a bunch of them from the ah which if i cant use them during future D.F. events, and why is it lv 90 only i got one with my lv 59 and cant use it so i had to send it to my main.

Got it as a 78 lvl hunter. O.o

How? I was bored and thrown some traps where Moonfang and other players were fighting.
I wasn't in a group with them.

I'm not sure if this information is useful, but having loot really surprised me.

月牙的毛皮 drops 100% of the time for every player that has tagged 月牙 who is a somewhat commonly available world boss (much more often than 暗月兔子) available only during The Darkmoon Faire in 暗月岛. Moonfang is summoned by first killing non-elite 月牙狂吠者 then when enough have been killed, elite 月牙恐嚎者 will spawn with a zone-wide alert, and after slaughtering enough, Moonfang will spawn in the forested section of the island as a stationary neutral boss, heralded by zone-wide alerts. She is quite deadly and should only be approached with at least a few max level players including a tank and healer, making sure not to kite her too far away or she will reset; generally she dies within a few minutes of spawning as she's not too difficult to kill.

This item starts the quest, 巢母之死 for any level 90+ character, which awards 10 暗月奖券, 250 暗月马戏团 rep and some minor exp when handing the item to 亚布·尼比盖尔 nearby. The quest is able to be repeated again when the Darkmoon faire next arrives a month later, as long as you hand in another of the items.

While you might expect this item to only drop once as it can only be handed in once per darkmoon faire, it actually isn't bound and can be freely sold, mailed to your alts or wrapped up in a wrapping paper such as 红色条纹包装纸. You can then loot another one if you kill Moonfang again, as long as you haven't completed the quest nor have 月牙的毛皮 in your inventory/bank. You can easily farm a few extra tickets on your alts, stock up for future Darkmoon Faires or sell the Pelts for some extra gold this way and somewhat complements the other darkmoon quest items such as 怪异的蛋 to maximise ticket acquisition.

This is an updated macro which works after the Shadowlands expansion. Blizzard did a few changes with 9.0
I added Moonfang's Pelt as well
