How to: Go into Blackwing Lair and kill the third boss Broodlord Lashlayer to loot Head of the Broodlord Lashlayer. Note that only 1 player out of the entire party can get this item.

The Path of the Righteous
Start: Baristolth of the Shifting Sands
How to: Kill Silithid in Silithus to get Silithid Carapace Fragment, repeat until you have 200. You get around 1-4 per Elite you kill.

The Hand of the Righteous

How to: Do the same thing in the quest above, except for you will repeat this one until you're Neutral with Brood of Nozdormu. You get 200 rep per turn in, meaning that it will take around 42000 Silithid Carapace Fragment until you are Neutral. It will be a bit less than that because you also some rep from the quests before. (Tip: With each turn in you can recruit one friend to help you collect them, also Human get a passive 10% rep bonus.)

How to: Go to Anachronos located at the Caverns of time in Tanaris (where you visited him last time).

Nefarius's Corruption
Start: Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
How to: After accepting the quest from Vaelastrasz the Corrupt in Blackwing Lair you have to kill Nefarian within 5 hours. Loot the Shard from Nefarian and return to Anachronos to turn in the quest. Note that only one person can loot it, similar to the Head of the Broodlord Lashlayer.

Start: Malfurion Stormrage Go to Sunken Temple and approach the room with Shade of Eranikus, Malfurion Stormrage will appear.
How to: Travel to Teldrassil and search for the Forest Wisp infront of Darnassus (Coordinates: Around 39.6, 42.0)
End: Forest Wisp

Tyrande and Remulos
Start: Forest Wisp
How to: Travel to Moonglade and talk to Keeper Remulos.
End: Keeper Remulos

The Nightmare's Corruption
Start: Keeper Remulos
How to: Make sure to bring some friends for this, you don't need that big of a group for the first few:
Ashenvale: Kill Elite Dragonkin infront of the Nightmare Portals to get Fragment of the Nightmare's Corruption.
Feralas: Repeat above at this Nightmare Portal to get Fragment of the Nightmare's Corruption.
The Hinterlands: Repeat above at this Nightmare Portal to get Fragment of the Nightmare's Corruption.
For the next one you will be needing to bring a full raid.
Duskwood: Near the Nightmare Portal will be Twilight Corrupter, kill him to get the final Fragment of the Nightmare's Corruption.
End: Keeper Remulos

The Nightmare Manifests
Start: Keeper Remulos
How to: You will also need a full raid for this one, all you need to do is defend Nighthaven and wait for Tyrande, in P2, get Eranikus, Tyrant of the Dream down to 20% and don't let Keeper Remulos die!

The Champion Returns

How to: Return to Anachronos to turn in the quest.

Start: Magical Ledger Go to Azshara and seek out Azuregos, talk to him and he will give you Magical Ledger which starts the quest.
How to: Go to north of Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris, talk to Narain Soothfancy and complete the quest.

Translating the Ledger

How to: Just complete the quest and accept all three new quests afterwards.

How to: Go all the way south in Silverpine Forest at the Gilneas Gate and click on the Inconspicious Crate to complete the quest.

How to: Go into Molten Core and kill the trash mobs until you get the Narain's Scrying Goggles, then return to Narain Soothfancy. This item appears to have a low droprate.

How to: Speak to Dirge Quikcleave in Gadgetzan in Tanaris

The Isle of Dread!

How to: You'll need around 10 people from this. Go to the Isle of the Dread in Feralas and kill Lord Lakmaeran to get the Lakmaeran's Carcass, then continue to kill the Chimeras around the island to collect the remaining 20 Chimaerok Tenderloin

Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops
Start: Dirge Quikcleave

How to: Deliver the Meridith's Love Letter to Narain Soothfancy.
End: Narain Soothfancy

Draconic for Dummies
Start: Narain Soothfancy
How to: Either go to Meridith the Mermaiden and talk to her to get the swimming speed buff, or use the Elixir of Water Walking and ride over to the island all the way in southern Tanaris (you won't see it on the map). Click the Freshly Dug Dirt to complete the quest.
End: Freshly Dug Dirt

How to: Go back to Narain Soothfancy and complete the quest.

Decoy!

How to: Bring a group of 5 friends to Winterspring and open the Narain's Special Kit you've been given by the quest and use the Crude Map to find the location of the drop point. Use Narain's Turban and Bag of Gold when you're there and kill Number Two. Then return to Narain Soothfancy.

How to: Now you'll have to find 8 chapters of Draconic for Dummies and you'll need varying numbers of people per chapter:
1: Draconic for Dummies Go to the Alcaz Island in Dustwallow Marsh and kill Doctor Weavil. (15-20 people)
2: Draconic for Dummies Go to the Tainted Scar in Blasted Lands and kill Elite Demons. (5 people)
3: Draconic for Dummies Go to the Darkwisper Gorge in Winterspring and kill Elite Demons. (5 people)
4: Draconic for Dummies Go to the Mage Quarter in Undercity and collect the book from a table around here. (solo, or however many you need to go sneak inside)
5: Draconic for Dummies Go to the Library in Stormwind City and collect the book from a pillar around here. (solo, or however many you need to go sneak inside)
6: Draconic for Dummies Go to Onyxia's Lair and kill Onyxia to loot the book from her. (40 people)
7: Draconic for Dummies Go to Blackwing Lair and loot the book from a table near the ramp towards Ebonroc. (40 people, maybe solo if path is already clear and you can sneak in)
8: Draconic for Dummies Go to Molten Core and kill Ragnaros to loot the book from him. (40 people)
Then use your Magical Book Binding to bind the chapters together to a Draconic For Dummies: Volume II and return to Narain Soothfancy to complete the quest.
End: Narain Soothfancy

The Good News and The Bad News
Start: Narain Soothfancy
How to: Now the other items on the Shoppin List will be used. Bring the 20 Arcanite Bar 10 Elementium Ingot 10 Azerothian Diamond 10 Blue Sapphire to Narain Soothfancy to complete the quest.

The Wrath of Neptulon
Start: Narain Soothfancy
How to: Now that you finally have the Arcanite Buoy, go to the Bay of Storms in Azshara (around here) and use it to summon Maws. Kill him to obtain your Blue Scepter Shard and finally return to Anachronos. (15-20 people)

How to: Start and complete the quest, you'll now be the proud owner of The Scepter of the Shifting Sands!

Bang a Gong!
Start: The Scarab Gong
How to: Ring the Gong near the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj in Silithus within 10 hours of the first person that ringed the gong, and complete the quest! Congratulations, you're now the owner of the legendary Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal!
End: The Scarab Gong

Treasure of the Timeless One
Start: Jonathan the Revelator
How to: When the gates are opened, Jonathan the Revelator will appear next to the gong, anyone that completed the questline at any time (even after the gates are opened) can complete this quest to be able to choose between the following items: Fang of Korialstrasz Shadowsong's Sorrow Runesword of the Red and Ravencrest's Legacy
End: Jonathan the Revelator

so like how viable is it to actually do this before the first gong?

will i realistically be able to get it if i play 8 hours a day? or it doesnt matter since its whoever gets the BWL drops

42,000 is the number of reputation points needed to reach neutral (36,000+3,000+3,000), NOT the number of carapaces needed. First two quests reward 250 and 500 points, which means you'll need 41,250 points when you start your grind. Since each turn-in rewards 500 points, you'll need 83 turn-ins, which means the correct number of carapaces needed is 16,600.

Small correction, near the start where you said

Those Water Walking items are not obtainable in Classic, thus a Shaman is the only way you'll be walking on water. Alliance are out of luck, Swim Speed Potion may still be useful, someone will have to test and see if that would be enough to make it to the island.

I'm just thinking how this will all play out in classic.... sooo to get this you need to:

Convince your guild that you are their most worthy, and they must slave away with you for lets say 8 days, but only you will get the mount. Most likely by telling them something like "it's for the glory of the guild"!

Basically only the people that got the head on the first BWL reset will be able to hit that gong on time. If we assume that there will be someone speeding through this on your server, that is, which there probably will. That means it's kind of instantly capped to only those who get the head on the first wave, Then all of these "chosen ones" will have to complete everything else on par with the person most ahead.

So guilds should elect the person that will give it his all and avoid sleeping, and then still carry him through a bunch of stuff, if they want someone in their guild to have this. Am I getting all this right?

The name of the game is basically can you finish this within 10 hours of the best speed runner-guild combo on your server. Also, isn't there going to be spots/world mobs over farmed by alliance and horde guilds trying to complete this?

My God AQ is going to be a sh*t storm isn't it?

a little correction: Water Walking can't be used in conjunction with mounting, so you'd most likely need to do Love Song for Narain. also, i imagine the damage from fatigue would also break it.

Given that server populations are much higher than vanilla, and people are likely to be hoarding large amounts of war materials, I'm expecting to see new world records on fastest banging of the gongs

I would care to grind this if hardcore guilds would not be camping the places 24/7. The fact that this seemingly achievable chain is gonna be gated for most people makes the game kind of unappealing. All these quests can be done with a regular guild of non-pro raiders, but the rep grind is ruining the whole exp.
