Spawns during a part of the AQ opening quest line. He starts out flying over the lake, exchanging menacing words between the leaders of Moonglade. He spawns a plethora of shadow mobs that are devastatingly efficient in killing masses of guards. After all the shadow creatures are killed, Eranikus lands into Moonglade and begins to fight. Players struggle to kill him and heal the tank while Tyrande Whisperwind tries to help him overcome the evil inside him.

When the battle is finished, he becomes Eranikus the Redeemed.

There are three quest lines for opening the gates of AQ that deal with the blue, green and red dragonflights respectively. This is the final step of the green chain. You must defend the city from Eranikus' minions while keeping a named NPC alive until another NPC shows up to cleanse Eranikus of his corruption. Then he gives you the green scepter shard.

once he gets to (19% for us on Lightbringer) he teleports out, a bit later he flys back in at 100% and continues

we're sitting here waiting for something to happen now

he's just sitting there flying

edit: alrighty, after fighting him again (actually, all i did is watch ^^, lvl 40 mages dont stand the highest of chance with 900 hp), he dies or something at 19% again o_O

Eranikus is dragon in Sunken Temple(ST) and a huge, strong dragon in Moonglade. In ST hes not really much of a threat, but he does drop an essence trinket which there has been alot of talking about.To make things clear a short ill say this: No the essence has absolutly nothing to do with the big dragon in Moonglade. It wont summon him, nor will it start a long chain. There is however a short chain which takes you to Winterspirng where it abruptly ends. You lose your aoe trinket, and you get nothing but exp or cash. The big guy in Moonglade(who happens to be the same dragon, but in a more powerful shape than in ST) is summoned after a long paining quest chain which starts in Silithus, and requires the patience of a god, and a good guild. Its for opening the gate to Ahn´Qiraj.

Hope this made things a little clearer.

was downed on our server (kargath) server got bugged as soon as he went down and we didnt get 1 of the 3 scepters and gm said that we just had to try again.. GG blue.. and grats dosi and all who helped down him :D

You need to slay him as part of the AQ questline, he drops an Item that is part of the scepter to hit the gong with and open the gate to AQ.

I saw some weird system messages, so I decide to log on my druid and teleport to moonglade. I get there only to find out the server just crashed and i saw a level BOSS NPC running all over at 14%. Anyone know what this guy is for?

Bad Omen on Europe tried to kill him, the massive amout of spectators made the server crash though. :@
