Since there is no one who have enough time to write about energy mechanic on page about energy, I will do.
Energy is resource specific to

Every two seconds character regenerate 20 energy points, and not gradually but by tick, so if you, for example, have 35 energy and skill costs 40 - well, wait another two seconds and you will have whopping 55 points. This regen is main limiting mechanic aside cooldowns for energy users. Different from mana or rage users, they will have full batteries after ten idle seconds or so and can continue fight as long as HP allows. But, even if it seems fast, energy spending skills are quite costly and this is quite frustrating to wait four-six seconds just to be able to press a button since there are too few skills like

that devour less than 20 energy. So, there is a few methods to increase energy gain, like

, as well as signature combat rogue talent

Since energy is a resource, it should be spent for using skills such as

. Finishers use all collected combo points up to five (which is also is a limit of how many of it your character can accumulate) and become much more effective with every additional point spent.
Have to note few things:
Finishers also costs energy, so player have to plan energy spending for few seconds ahead
Non-finisher spenders that was avoided by target (miss, dodge, parry) will be refunded by 80% of it's cost but combo points will not be awarded
Combo point actually applied to target and will be lost if target dead or player changed/lost target (through

or
假死
, for example), but combo points persists even after out of combat, as long as your character is fixed on target
Addon that will show energy regen ticks like NugEnergy or have similar functionality is de-facto mandatory for every rogue or feral player who have a bit of respect to his/her character and don't have addon'phobia
