I picked this up last night (020206) from Battleguard Sartura in Ahn'Qiraj 40 (I'm a 60 Troll Hunter).

It's basically a better Quick Strike Ring.

Let me show what a few DPS stats mean to level 60 rogues, hunters, and warriors.

Warrior: 1 strength = 2 AP, 20 agility = 1% crit
Rogue: 1 strength = 1 AP, 1 agility = 1 AP, 29 agility = 1% crit
Hunter: 1 strength = 0 RAP, 1 agility = 2 RAP, 52.5 agility = 1% crit

+Crit items are especially valuable to a hunter because it takes much more agility for them to get 1% crit. Also, the strength attribute is useless to a hunter in raids. For a warrior a Quick Strike Ring provides the same DPS stats as Ring of the Qiraji Fury, but this ring gives a hunter 10 more RAP than a Quick Strike Ring. Simpy put, this is easily the best DPS ring in the game for a hunter.

About +hit items. Hunters have a base miss rate of 5%. Rogues have a 24% base miss rate because of the dual wield penalty, same with dual wielding warriors. These miss rates increase by 2 to 3% in Molten Core, and 4% in Blackwing Lair. Rogues and DPS warriors can never get too much +hit from gear, while hunters have a lot more options for getting enough +hit to not miss at all, including 2% to hit from the ZG head/legs enchant and 3% to hit from a talent called Surefooted. Rogues and warriors can really benefit from rings with +hit, such as Master Dragonslayer's Ring and Band of Accuria. However, many MC/BWL-equipped hunters simply don't need +hit from their rings.

this ring is equally good for rogues, hunters & dmg warriors. anyone who thinks this ring should have a class priority is not only selfish but a moron as well.

by the class priority logic i suppose i could say QS ring should have warrior priority since we get the most from it's stats.

for warrior - 8 sta, 40 atk power, 1% crit
for rogues - 8 sta, 35 atk power, 1% crit
for hunters - 8 sta, 30 atk power, 1% crit

does that mean QS should have warrior priority? not imo anyway. & if it did u better believe rogues & hunters would throw a !@#$ fit about it. kinda hypocritical don't u think?

crit, sta & atk power are 3 of the most important things any non-caster dmg class can have. so pissing & moaning about someone getting something first, ESPECIALLY over an item like this that has no distictive stats to 100% say, "that's a ____ item first" is childish & annoying.

it makes me wonder if this is how some of you act in ur own guilds as well. if so i feel sorry for your guildmates & thank the stars i can trust mine enough to have the sense to distribute gear equally & fairly without acting like snot nosed brats thinking the world revolves around them & their method of doing things. grow up.

Seeing as it's item level 76, my guess would be that it's off Saturna in AQ40, at least that's the info a guildie has ascertained.

For warriors, the only difference between this one and the Quick Strike Ring from MC is 40 hitpoints, hardly worth to take this over rogues/hunters..

The question that I have is, since they moved some of the NR gear that used to drop of Vicidious to Sartura, did they move this ring to Vicidious? I see there are drops off of Vicidious. Has anyone seen this off of Sartura since they moved the drops around?

Fun fact: 沙尔图拉 drop 平静长靴 while 腐烂的靴子s can be looted from 维希度斯水滴!

(The 平静长靴 originally dropped from 维希度斯 himself but after several complaints Blizzard changed the loot table and switched it with 其拉之怒)
