Yes, it is pink, and yes, it is a great robe. Up to you if you want your character (unless it's female) to look very, very pink for the sake of a great robe.

I got this drop on my warlock and used it until I got Felheart robes. It was a huge upgrade from Robes of the Lich (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=10762) and I took it off and never looked back. Looks great on females!

I'm not sure if the previous comments fully convey to the readers just how pink this robe really is. Your friends will see you coming, that's for sure. Mind you, they'll hear the torrents of abuse from the ladies and cat calls from the guys directed at you long before that. It's not pink, it's PINK.

We had this drop from Ras the other night, and being the healer and indeed only caster in the party, I won it. I'd never even heard of the item until it dropped, I understand that the drop rate is between 1 and 2% however. It's made a lovely addition to my healing gear which is mostly made up of cloth and leather items with the occasional plate as well.

In Scholomance, Ras Frostwhisper the Lich dropped this.

Since it BOP I'm fairly certain that's the only mob that drops it.

Only thing I hate is that it's kinda ugly... wish it was more evil looking since I'm a Warlock lol.

If you seriously try to farm Alanna's Embrace, I'd rather find a molten core group and kill Golemagg a few times, he always drops an epic set chest piece, and they are far better than Alanna's Embrace.

Blizzard seems to have significantly improved epic drop rates, since this dropped twice for my group - within a total of only three runs made.
Maybe its just coincidence, but three of the four people were the same.
Btw i (mage) got first drop, warlock won second. And yes - it is ugly, but ill have it until i get to have the Robes of Volatile Power.

+dam/+heal just means +spell. It's specifically *not* supposed to favor any particular casting class. Because it works on all schools of magic. Period. That's all it means.

As far as pallies or druids /needing on this. Let me just say. If I had a druid ask to /need on it, I might say "go ahead" to be nice, and I might even muse about its situational usefulness to them. But I would still *hate* *hate* *hate* them if I lost to them. If you see a caster needing on this, just don't even ask. If all the casters are greeding, then by all means take it.

Completed a Scholo run without killing ras since we all had nothing better to do we went to go kill him. Druing this run i had not wno any thing no scourgestones no items and Headmasters charge had dropd. We downed ras easyily and this item drops. there where 2 cloth wearing in the group and we both rolled on it (Bear in mind this had been my most unlucky night on WoW ever) The Preist rolled a 56 which wasnt to high. I by some extreme chain of bad luck rolled a 1..

Could not belive it. Had Mooncloth Robe and been farming Scolo for Flask suprume power and the Wand that end boss drops.

Robes drop once Priest Won the roll. 2 Rans later Robes Drop again (With same Priest) and they are all mine! Woot! Woot! Now I want to take my lvl 60 Priest and see if I can get those robes for him too! :)

second run to scholomance and my first successful one...i aimed to go into scholo to get magister drops and ended up with this!

with such a low drop rate, im really lucky. i'd hate to throw this away when i get a set but im really happy :D

Had it for about a month, drops off Ras in Scholo. Looks amazingly great with dreadmist and epic troll mount with the purple armour.

I've had just dirt poor rotten luck scoring gear and loot. That said, I've been farming scholo looking for necropile gear and that damn devout crown. In 3 weeks (and countless runs), all I've been able to acquire have been necropile bracers, necropile boots, and magisters headpiece.

Then Darkmaster Gandling dropped the Headmaster's Charge epic staff. 院长之杖 As the only staff user in that group, it went to me. A run or 2 later, this robe drops. Understand that I've been wearing the same green piece of crap robe since lvl 53. I inspected the other clothie in the group and noticed his robe was better than mine, but not by much. I still don't feel very good about it, but I offered him 50g to pass. He accepted and the robe became mine.

It was then that I noticed it's pink... Seriously though, it looks pretty good with the right tabard.

As you can see it works pretty well with the magister set. I'd dispute that it is pink in colour, it's actually lavender as I'm wearing a lavender shirt in that picture and it's the same colour as the robe.

It was night when the screen was taken so it isn't perfect light, but it's ok for now.

Just tagged along to Scholo with guildies to get some gold <3 This dropped and noone actually needed it so my beloved guildies let me have it for my Rp Fashion Dresscollection <33 Loads of love to them. It's so pwetty <3.

Second time I have faced this guy and he dropped this robe. When I added that with my Crown of the Ogre King, Gloves of Undead Cleansing, and Bracers of Undead Cleansing I looked like I was a male undead cross dresser heading to the prom. Had it been a bind on equip item I would have handed it over to my girlfriend's priest who was one of the two who had lost the roll. Looking at the picture above she would have looked a hell of a lot better in it than I.

But with stats like this it's really hard to complain about getting the item. I know I will be using it well into the expansion when it comes out. Since I am in a small guild and raiding just doesn't seem to be in the cards for my guild I am greatful to have won it. It didn't hurt that Dreadmist Mask also dropped that run. When I add that along with the matching shoulders and gloves at least I look like an evil prom queen.

Second one ive seen drop. Really seems to drop quite often : / killed ras 3 times after patch 1.10 and hes dropped it two out of those times, still need recipe tho >.<
