Impale *IS* mitigated by armor..

Let's assume 65% damage reduction from armor, in this example: 400K minus 65% = 140K damage.

However. Impale also include a stacking debuff, which increase the damage impale does, by 100% per
stack, thus:
1 stack = 280K damage
2 stacks =420K damage
3 stacks = 560K damage
If your raid ever gets to 3 stacks, then you have absolutely no place, attacking this boss..

Any tank should be able to survive 1
stack, by himself.
2 stacks require a major CD, such as Ysera's Dream, Guardian Spirit, Pain
Suppression, etc.

If you have very high DPS, you can
two-tank it, and never get more than one stack..
If your DPS is low, you can one-tank it, but then you need to be ready to
handle 2 stacks..

If the damage is mitigated by armor, then it's doing WAY more damage than the tooltip says, our Protection Warrior tank took 275-300k damage from it when he didn't use a cooldown.

If you count 60% reduction from armor, 10% from stance, 10% from tank debuff, and 5% from nerf debuff, that would raise the base damage done significantly to be able to fit that amount.
