Despite what Blizzard's new LFG tool suggests, Maraudon does not come before Zul'Farrak level-wise. So if you're looking at your LFG tool trying to figure out where to go next, you should probably do ZF a little before heading here.

The rock borer should be before the instance, try the purple side.
I find Mara to be harder than it seems. The lvl range is what it is, but some of the mobs are real tough. Some will knock you down, some poison you without end, some hit you multiple times surprisingly rapidly, etc.
Take care in Mara. IMO, ZF is -without doubt-, before Mara in difficulty.

Gunna try and solo this as my level 52 BM hunter, as PUGs are awful and unreliable, but this place has some nice loot for a hunter and it's more fun to instance rather than farm for gold to buy new kit =)
Btw, I don't anticipate success.
EDIT - I tried, I failed. The mobs hit HARD and there are a lot of them, clustered close. It was a fairly close call, but I eventually gave up as it was taking far too long and I was dying/having to heal + feign death far too much. I don't think this is soloable until level 60 or so.

You should easily do this instance at lvl 44 - i did BEFORE 2.3. Now, it's even easier for lower levels to do it. Last night a lvl 41 was in our group.

Definitely one of the more aesthetically pleasing instances, especially Inner Maraudon. If you're doing everything, get ready for a long instance. Haven't done the instance recently in full, but I think that clearing everything (purple, orange and inner) would require something like 3-3.5 hours, depending on wipes, dps, level, the whole lot.
The giants in Inner Maraudon are definitely a check if your gear of healer / tank is somewhat up to scratch. At 200+ damage a hit and two mobs at the same time, an unlucky string could definitely kill some tanks or leave some healers dry on mana.
A hint to those new: When you port into Inner Maraudon (recogniseable by the light-green colouring and silencing dinos) and first see large giants, wait and get rid of the two Elemental patrols running around. One's coming from up, to Landslide, and the others are coming down from somewhere. You don't want them to add.

This is a great place to farm Large Radiant Shards and Small Brilliant Shards. If you complete the quest for the Scepter of Celebras you can easily clear Landslide, Princess, Rotgrip and Grizzlock in under 15 mins @ 70. Shard the drops, profit, rinse and repeat.

Incase anyone is wondering what level you have to be to run someone thru. I did it with a 63 warrior and myself(45 rogue) and we had some problems but we avoided most of the mobs and did it in 20 mins! At bosses he had like 10% hp left. He died on rotgrip because it hits with 500 every hit but I managed to take him out with evasion. Rogue and High level definally can do this instance(without trash mobs) in under 20 mins.

The least visited instance in WoW, sorry but it's true, reason is because it's in the middle of nowhere and usually people don't have the flightpath to Desolace.

this instance looks really cool but it also one of the larger instances you will encounter.
It will take you quite a bit of time unless one of your group members has a scepter of celebras which allows you to skip the early parts. I recommend that you run this at least once, even if its solo, as it is definitely one of the more amazing areas.

I completed this instance with my part last night;
Us being Me, A 44 BM Hunter
A 49 Feral Druid (dinged 50 during the run)
A 50 Mage (not sure what spec)
A 47 Holy Preist
and A 49 Warrior (Not sure what spec)
This was my first time running the instance, I have heard many bad things about it. And it's easy to understand why, It's in desolace, and alot of people all out skip questing in here to go to stranglethorn, and if you don't have the Shadowprey (Horde) or Nijel's (Alli) flightpath, it's a pain to get to. second; parts can be hard. Paticularly, the Creeping Sludge have a killer AOE, our entire group died atleast once, but I was able to pick them off by kiting (not hard to do, they move slowly) While the preist was helping me. Finally, and most importantly; it's really, really long to do as a whole. When you look at all the instances withing this level range, (the longest one people of this level are probably used to is Ulda, <correct me if i'm wrong> Which is only 1-2 hours at the most) With our group, starting on the orange side; killing every boss but still skipping a few trash mobs, it took us around 4 hours. Mind you; mabye this is a good thing, because much longer, hairier instances like BRD are just up the line
But despite these factors, i really, really liked it. My only complaint was that it was a little bit too linear for my taste. I like some interactiveness in an intance (Think Uldaman). That may be unrealistic to expect from an instance of this level; but I complain. Don't let the length of this instance, nor the location turn you away; I reccomend doing orange one day and purple the next if possiblt though; like I said, it is very, very long.

Took 48 min to run a alt through with a 80 ret pally, put aside a good hour with a good group, the place is very large and it is best to use the map provided on this page if you get lost.

The mythical portal that "Dustfire" mentioned is there and requires no items or quest chains, u go through the double doors, over the way there is 2 stone centures either side of a tunnel, go through it and follow it round to the left, u will come to a npc "Spirit of Kolk" the portal is in the room behind him :)

Druds beware, most of your magic will have very limited effect in here as its nature based. If you're feral spec'd you shouldn't have much problem with it in a group, otherwise you're relegated to healer status

Directions:
Before you reach the princess, drop down into the water. This is where Rotgrip is. There is a water tunnel - go through this. Take the right ramp up and follow it. You will see Elder Splitrock up ahead.
Now go west until you end up at Zaetar's Grave again. You should see a waterfall and a bridge to cross. Cross the bridge and take a left. Follow the path up. At this point you should see Tinkerer Gizlock.
Go west up the ramp, following the path. You should recognize where you are when the ramps splits in different directions. Up and to the right will take you back to Princess, to the left will take you down and out into Earthsong Falls.
Note the path to the west. Follow this path around until you reach the next ramp. Follow the ramp up. Take the next ramp up when you come to the flat spot. (It's the only way you can go without going backwards.) Follow this path around and you should start seeing those turtles. Keep to the pathway and you will come to Celebras. You can take either the orange side or the purple side to exit the instance.
Basically, find your way back to the falls where the portal took you and take one of the entrances *way* back at the beginning

The only reason I did this instance was to get the achievement. I was able to solo it with my lvl 75 death knight in about ten minutes. So if you're doing the same thing don't bother with the orange or purple side, just go straight to the inner entrance and avoid battling as much as you can until you get to the pricess, and it shouldn't take very long.

Completed the second half of Maraudon today with a 2-man group consisting of a 46 prot paladin and a 42 ret paladin. The ret pally was healing for most of the instance because we hadn't been there before and didn't know about the abundance of stuns/silences/interrupts. Everything went smoothly; no deaths, no bubbles used. I used LoH on the last boss because of a range issue brought about by a simultaneous fear + stompy doom tantrum. It took about 2 hours from the portal entrance, killing the 4 bosses from that location to the end, but a 45-ish Paladin duo familiar with the instance could do it faster.

for people lvl 40-45 you should get a healer and tank for this dungeon or just do it the easy way and get a level 80 to run you through :D if you want to get that epic item you will need to go through it a couple of times before you get it.

I just wiped in this instance by leeroy pulling on an 80 mage(damn stunlocks) corpse run was insane i just ended up the wrong wing and i tried to get out but i just ran in circles couldn't find my way out so i entered the port pulled a &*!@ load of mobs died and spirit rezzed.

Ones you have found Landslide it is easy to find the princess. Go down Landslides ramp. At the bottom there is a bridge to your left and a path the to right, go right. Pass the Subterranean Dimetradons and go over the bridge with the Primordial Behemoths. She is at the end of the bridge.

Back in vanilla priests loved this instance, you could solo princess thanks to her fatty.
This instance drop alot of good loot, and yeah its a long instance, but compared to run sm 5-6 times with the same group or the boost to get the exp, I prefer one sweep over this beauty, its like a full BRD run, decent exp.
Its also sweet to the looks, exept for princess, shes just scary.

Although it doesn't really matter much now with the Dungeon Finder, it is possible to summon a level 34 to the meeting stone. I tried it with a level 80 and level 35 (out of curiosity, the level 34 was already there =).

As of 3.3 with the new random dungeon addition, Celebras is the only boss that is not part of any of the three "dungeons" that Mauradon consists of. The "orange crystals" part of the random dungeon consists of two bosses; Noxxion and Razorlash. The "purple crystals" part of the random dungeon consists of a single boss; Vyletonge. Knowing this, one would expect the "pristine waters" part of the dungeon to start with Celebras, but this is not the case. If you enter the dungeon after being paired up with the "pristine waters" part, you spawn at the bottom of the waterfall, thus making this boss completely left out of the entire random dungeon set up.
Because of this, it may be very difficult to complete the quest to gain the Staff of Celebras without forming a group outside of the random dungeon system

With new LFG system you can be matched to this instance from level 40. First boss (
Noxxion
) is lvl 46, and fight is one of the first complex ones. LFG found me a group of lvl 40-41 players, and we managed to down only Noxxion, as further mobs were red to whole party.

Be advised; You cannot run out of this instance after jumping down Earth Song Falls. You have to either hearth, die, be summoned, or get moved to the entrance via logout timer.

They divided mauradon into three parts. in the lfd.
49-44 Purple=one boss the demon.
42-46 orange=two bosses; noxion, razorlash.
45-50 Stillwater=celebras, giz, rot and princess so four.
I must say i think this is kinda an odd instance, this was more or less an abandon zone mostly in vanilla. Most people tried to avoid it if they could, still there was some people due nature resistance for raiding and princess killing for an good epic.
only other instance worst abandon was Sunken temple, which was a pain many times to get one grp to.

Completed all of Maraudon with a 41-43 group. It took some epic kiting, mana management, cooldown chains, and lucky crits, but it's possible with a all blue geared group, only one wipe when we pulled a pat, but besides that we downed all bosses including Princess.

I really really deeply hate Maraudon and I don't care if it has pretty water lillies; it's an impossibly long and complicated instance that the only way to exit is a) hs and fly all the way back to Desolace turn in the quests, or b) walk all the way back, get lost for hours in the middle, until you find your way back to the entrance.

2-manned the whole instance at lvl 47 (paladin and priest).
Not difficult at all, since Princess chases the MT even when he's feared.
Main thing is to look out for the patrolling rock elementals, which can easily lead to a wipe if they aggro you in the middle of a battle.
There are 3 of these pats to look out for:
1.) After the Hydras, there will be a tunnel filled with packs of Diemetredons. There is 1 pat here.
2.) After the above tunnel, on the way up to Landslide, there is another pat.
3.) On the way to Princess, with the pairs of stone giants, there is another pat.

FYI, a party of lvl 41-42s shouldn't be fighting crowds of lvl 46-48 elites. It just doesn't work. People miss hits left and right, the mobs are a pain to do any real damage to, the healer has a hard time keeping up with the damage spikes...It's just plain painful to watch. You'd think it would be common sense. Not always the case.
I was in a random LFG group of 41-42s with a 45 healer, and after

, the tank said, "Let's do some more!

and
Rotgrip
, right?" And everybody was, "Yeah! Let's do it! We're rocking this place!" What I failed to remember is that Princess is a lvl 47-48 and Rotgrip is lvl 48...red mobs to us little low 40s...otherwise I would have refused. Well, we downed

without many issues, after jumping over the poisoned waterfall, and some trash after him, but it was those damn
hydra
that really did us in. We were fighting one, aggroed two others, and then some of the
dinos
came to get a piece of the action. The group broke up after that, which was probably a good thing.
Frankly, I didn't even think we'd be able to progress to the rest of the dungeon, since it was a random, but such was not the case.
This is a good thing to keep in mind, in case your tank gets ambitious.
So if someone suggests doing the rest of the dungeon from Vyletongue on and you're in the low 40s, learn from my misplaced optimism and just say no. You might survive Celebras and you might even miraculously survive some of the trash, but you'll be scraping your toon off the water-slick floor before you even get to
the next boss
. Take your random loot and flee before your gear takes a huge hit and you wonder what the hell just happened.

: When I wrote this up, those lvl numbers were accurate...somewhere between 3.3.5 and 5.4.2, the levels must have been changed for whatever reason Blizzard thought was good. Humor aside, it's still wise advice.
Now
, it is entirely dependent on the group composition (as you well know by now) whether or not you have the capabilities to tackle the rest of the dungeon after Vyletongue. I have not been in that particular situation, in that particular dungeon, such as was described above, since that admittedly humorous occasion, so I don't know one way or another if it's possible. Since Princess and Rotgrip are both now lvl 39, I think the only serious thing you would have to worry about would be the knock back and fear she does and the silencing and knock back abilities of the trash between Celebras and Princess. If someone attempts it, please post something to let us know how it turned out (curiosity and all), otherwise I would still advise avoiding the latter portion of the dungeon after Vyletongue. Mostly because 95% or so of randoms are looking to get to another random, not finish something they'll hit on in a higher lvl bracket. No, I won't fix the numbers above...the strike through the numbers are distracting. This edit should be enough. =P

In Cataclysm, the level range of Maraudon is lowered to more accurately reflect the level range of Desolace, being changed to level ~36-39. In addition, quests are given at the beginnings of the purple and orange instances. I was not able to do the final section of Maraudon, however, but I'm presuming there are quest givers towards the beginning of the instance (in a similar fashion to all of the classic dungeons in Cata).
The sections of Maraudon have been renamed to...
Purple = The Wicked Grotto
Orange = Foulspore Cavern
Pristine Waters = Earth Song Falls
In addition, Tinkerer Gizlock is now located on the purple side as opposed to the inner area.

When I was lvling up my first char and came to this dungeon through the dungeon finder I never understood why groups disbanded after the Satyr boss even though the dungeons seemed to continue.
When I soloed it today at 85 I quickly realised why.

Soloed this in about 2.5 hours, killing all the bosses and pretty much everything else. All three instances. The most annoying part is having to find the instances, having never done them previously by myself. Level 70 BM Hunter with full PVP gear, no deaths, super easy, just boring and time consuming. BTW, Lots of greens and blues for those wanting to level their Enchanting and need mats.

Easy hour long full run as a lvl 85 rogue; definitely not a money-maker by any means if you're a higher level player. I only did it to do the newly reset post-Cataclysm-quests.
However, what I found really fun and unique (though probably entirely coincidental) is that almost all of the greens I got had non-generic names. You know, typically you get "blah blah bracers of the whale" etc... Most of my loot had really specific names.
In no particular order I got: Stonecloth Briches, Enduring Shield, Hawkeye's Cloak, Warden's Wristbands, Stonecloth Bindings, Stonecloth Circlet, & Gloves of Old (a blue BoE.)

there are 3 ways to get in, blue crystals, orange crystals, and once you complete the staff quest, you can portal in near princess, who drops sweet caster gear, also is for a quest for a 35 dps sword, 38 dps bow, and a staff, other bosses around there drop some sweet gear, like a +20 agil 5 stamina 5 nature resist leather boots, and a 35.2 dps blue sword, very cool instance

In the western part of the valley of the spears in Desolcae. You open to large stone doors, and follow some of the winding paths into the instance. There are 2 entrances into it.

I've done Mauradon 10+ times now leading several groups through the instance...it's a blast!
I believe there are 5 alliance quests that lead here. Three are in three desolace, one inside Mauradon (outside instance, on the way to orange), and one from the center tower in theramore isle in dustwallow (where jaina proudmoore is). The three in desolace are as follows: one from Willow in Kormek's Hut (just SE of Nijel's, but not too far..just off the path), one at Nijel's well (the moonwell in Nijels), and one far to the south, just SW of Mannoroc Coven and in the hills..a dryad will give it.
I suggest start with purple (left) side first, as it's the easiest, and working your way around to orange. It's actually one huge instance, but there are three entrances, one of them being a portal taking you almost directly to the main she-boss (ms stitches lol).
I would suggest a group of 50+. You can do it with a lesser group, but you'll need the core classes for them (warrior, mage, priest).
This instance has a lot of good drops, but some of them are pretty rare. I suggest that after you're done with quests portalling straight to Princess to do landslide, princess, rotgrip, and tinkmaster for the best drops. For you casters out there I haven't seen a lot of cloth drops, but there are a lot of nice +stat items and swords/daggers.

I have done the "Princess Run" 5 times and have yet to see anything drop but the stupid cloth head piece. What is a pally to do? I ran into a lower level paladin and he had her two handed mace (which looks awesome btw) from one run. Blizz needs to make this drop more often.

The lowest level quests in this are something like level 42, but as people have said the princess level 51. Depending on the skill of your group, the makeup of classes, and how well geared your group is, this can be done even as low as level 46 (I've seen a pally tank this at level 46), perhaps lower if you have someone higher level in the party.
A level 47 mage is on the low end of being useful throughout the instance, but it is certainly doable.

This is just a fun dungeon to run; good drops, quests, and xp. I'm a level 53 feral druid and the staff you get for killing the last boss is great casting gear when I get stuck being the prime healer. I like inner mara the best because of the mobs you kill and the setting but both sides are pretty good.
Btw, it might just be my server, but it seems very few people have the portal wand/staff thing that gets you into inner mara�the last five times I�ve run no one but myself had it

I got the staff to let you into inner mara, and as a joke, I said, you could be teleported to the wrong place and die.
The portal worked fine, and we all dropped from the sky into the water, except for our mage, who continued to drop until he hit the bottom of the lake, where he died.
I spent the rest of the instance convincing him that it wasn't supost to happen, and that it was intended as a joke, but really did happen.

Okay, I had trouble finding out how to get the Mara rod so I'm posting the info here. Hope it helps someone out!
To get the rod you need to do the quest Legends of Maraudon (

) which starts from Cavindra in the orange side of the instance. Once you've got the quest you need to hit up two bosses inside Mara to get the items.
1) Noxxion (

)- Orange side of the instance, drops the Celebrian Rod
2) Lord Vyletongue (
https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=94101
) - Purple side in a small alcove, drops the Celebrian Diamond
Now that you have the pieces of the rod you need to find Celebras... find Celebras The Cursed (
https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=404945
) and kill him. Once he's dead his spirit will remain behind you can talk to him (he says "OMGWTFBBQ! That was so UN1337! You Saved Me! PLZ LET me HeLp YOU!" after which he says some stuff about making you 31337)
After you talk to him the first time he walks over to a stone, and you can talk to him again. Second time's a charm and he does a ceremony to make the rod.
As I understand it the rod allows you to portal to about halfway through the instance. Great if you just wanna run Princess Theradras, Landslide or Rotgut.

ya i have run this about 10 times now looking for the Eye of Theradras (and every time i have been outrolled by another person T_T), altho huge this instance is pretty straight forward.
#1) if your group dosent have the staff to teleport expect a long run 3-4 hrs. you can get the staff from the quest, "Legends of Maraudon" which i beleive is from the driads outside the instance. the rod part of the staff is from noxxion, while the dimond is from vyletoung (the purple side mini-boss) after you kill celebras his ghost will instruct you on how to make the staff.
#2) when you enter the slime area after the end of the purple/orange zone (i beleive its called poison falls) there are several hazards: first the round slimes, that you may of allready incounterd in the orange side, hit like a tank, so be prepared to heal your tank or do a good bit of running! the only bonus is that they move REAL slow, so they are pretty ez to avoid. also there is a real ez way to pass this area, simply jump off the top platform (where u enterd this zone) and into the green water. if u stay in this water and close to the walls you can avoid 95% of the mobs allong the way, and only have to kill a few moss creatures (that are slow and have small aggro ranges).
#3) orange spisific: KILL ALL BLACK PLANTS! the black one (barbed lashers?) have a AE stun effect, that only distrups spells but knockes everone in your party down. (no heals and tank looses aggro often)
#4) there is a glitch for the entance to the waterfall zone (from the portal in the basment outside the instance) IF YOU DONT MOVE while your falling there is a chance that the water wont catch you. this happend to several people in my group and we only had a druid as a healer (so all of us had to wipe b/c the war that was leading was the only one w/ the staff). this is easy to avoid, just move a little forward or back once u start falling, then the water will catch you.

this instance is a very very very good instance to bring a hunter on for the simple fact that aspect of the wild gives 44 nature resist and is just plain awesome to have for the whole instance. also, there are a few hunter blues in here.. and finally on princess hunter doesnt have to worry about getting Aoe farted from princess can just sit back and shoot away if you get aggro good! just let her get close to ya and feign death to help war get healed as you draw the attention on a sidenote im marksmanship/survival build so my trueshot aura is another grp proc that is nice 75 rnged and melee dmg increase.. so anyone doing this bring at least 1 hunter and make him use aspect of the wild from the start ^_^

Did this as a 42 priest (very low for this instance, by the way, and difficult with the amount of aggro I would get from being a healer and substantially weaker).
However, with a 55 warrior, 51 rogue, 47 druid, and 51 hunter, we did fine. Most mobs are easy to handle if pulled properly. Patience is the key here - waiting for patrols to make their away around the many loops will save you from being attacked from behind while engaged with other enemies.
The basilisks are little trouble if the healer is far enough back, where he will not be sleeped. Rock elementals are also weak, but they fracture and make many small elementals. These are impossible to keep aggro by your main tank, and fade will do your priest/druid well.
Bosses are fairly simple in the instance; the Princess can wipe you if your party does not stay well against the wall. This allows the healer and ranged DPS from being tossed out of range of their targets. The main tanker only needs to keep their back towards the wall as well, but farther out, so they are not thrown into the middle. This will allow the healer to use the mana efficient Prayer of Healing.
Rotgut is simple, but with a catch. My second party lost two after drowning. During the course of a battle underwater, you must remember to breathe!
Not great loot in this instance for cloth wearers, but decent rares for hunters and paladins/warriors. Tinkerer drops a decent two handed axe, for those two handed folks.

He is right after the princess. GO to the left side of waterfalls and jump ! We usually just wait for him to swim by right there. He is a huge crock.
Nice drops as well. Got some sweet leather boots from him - for a rogue.

as a priest, if your group wipes you can kite the princess. use shadow word pain on her and renew on yourself and run like hell, she cant keep up and you will win. just took her down 52 priest, she had 1/3 - 1/4 hp left, rest of group was dead.

This instance can be done entirely (both orange and purple sides, then the final section) in about 3 hours, with only a little practise, taking a minimum of 7 bosses during that time, for a minimum of 8 blue drops. not bad going.
Ive done it all with a team with none above 49 (four 49's and a 47), and ive also done it with a team of
46 hunter
49 hunter
49 lock
49 priest
50 warrior.
i recommend that you use a 2H warrior if you have any sort of decent healer (we had friartuck, top class priest on doomhammer) to speed things up. landlside and rotgrip are the only bosses that really hit hard, and both are quite managable.
most important thing is if you head in with a lower lvl group, i.e with an average level of 49 or below, take nature resist pots. Princess has a nasty aoe attack that does medium damage to all within range, and bumps all away from her also. hard for healer to deal with if not prepared. one greater nature prot pot will last each person for the fight.
i also recommend a mini kite for the four fights where you must take two of the big rock elementals at once. just send a hunter away with one for 30 secs while group ganks one, i found that both went down in about 40-60 secs with no fuss this way. otherwise second one can break loose and kill healer/caster quite fast.
nothing else to add to what was said above, GL all. TNW on doomhammer can do a princess run (final four bosses accessed with staff) in about 40 mins. not bad going with the group stated above.

Ok, Maraudon is very long compared to any other instances up to this point. If you do not have enough time DO NOT JOIN A GROUP TO DO IT! its a pain when people decide they have to go half way through, especially when the best gear is at the end. It is not easy to leave and resummon another person. Pleasefor the sake of everyone else playing join only if you are prepared to stay on for several hours.

This dungeon is actualy pretty cool. Aside from the long walks around this place, the bosses drop some prety good stuff. Ive killed Princess Theradras countless times using the staff that ports you to her and i have goten both types of daggers she drops and the ring and necklace. Vary cool dungeon. Carefull trying to get the boss in the big pool under princess theradras, its full of hydras but the drop from the croc is good.

oki guys if you are doing maraudon or if you didnt know, the princess is very dangerous if you are at the edge of her little rocky platform, when she uses her farty thing she knocked me clean off into that watery bit at the bottom where the giant croc is,so basically if you dont have stealth and get knocked off you are in some serious trouble if you dont have a lock who can summon you back,so stay near the center of the princess's platform.
{btw i was a 52 feral druid Bravebull Hellfire server horde}

This instance has some incredible gear for its level, but it's also very long (MINIMUM 3 HOURS for a full clear with a
halfway decent group).
With some recent patch changes, princess is now lv 48, making the level range for the instance 44-48. I wouldn't bring anyone lower than 44, and 46+ is ideal so that everything is yellow, no need to let bad hit slow you down.

very cool instance, u do need 2 or more lvl 50+'s to have any chance of gettting to the end but if you do it is well worth it. this is th real start of the epic drops in dungens. you may gt epic drops in others below it but with a very low chance. would say close your eyes at the last boss cuz she is one ugly cow!

the game says that this instance starts at lvl 40 but i really wouldn't go till lvl 44, it starts of with lvl 42-43's which yer well geared lvl 40's can kill but after that they trun into 45's which you will be hard pushed to kill at lvl 45 beacuse reamber they are ELITES! If ya think that is bad after the secound boss they become lvl 47's and if you can show me a lvl 40 that can kill a lvl 47 ELITE i will personly give you 1k gold! so at lvl 40 stick to uldamam and leave maraudon to the big boys

be careful near the dead corpses of the noxiuos slimes toward the end, as their gas can take down 2k+ health in no time

This is a very long run if you do both sides. I would say we were in there for at least 2 hours.
A good healer is a must! The only wipe we had was on the goblin which shoved us into a pack of those lovey silencing reptiles.
Rock patrols are REALLY annoying and come out of no where.

Rather old news, but since I didn't find a post mentioning it here... the staff of Celebras does not teleport you anymore. Blizzard changed it to just being a regular ol' blue staff as of patch 3.0.2 (or in a minor patch a bit beforehand). Quite unfortunate, in my opinion.

This dungeon is loooooong.. think 4 hours between getting a party together, traveling to Desolace, and then wandering the caves before you even *get into the instance*, let alone completing what has been, so far, the longest dungeon I've experienced in Classic.
It's too long.
Also, it offers very low rewards imo, at least for a mage. There are about 12 total mobs that qualify as humanoid, so A) polymorphs are of no help, B) you'll leave with about 3 mageweave cloth, and C) the cash drops are few and far between. Just a lot of stone, ichor, and other grey trash pickups that will soon fill your inventory and aren't worth very much to sell. Also, very few drops of cloth items that mages can use, so other party members are rightfully "needing" on plate/mail/leather all the time, leaving me with ZERO greens/blues to DE or sell later. Imagine doing a dungeon for 3-4 hours and coming out with.. again.. ZERO green or blue items. Disappointing to say the least.
If you are a caster and/or tailor.. maybe do this just once to experience it. I'm never going back.

List of Nature Resist Pieces NOT Coming with Phase 5

Blizzard has released a list of Nature Resist pieces that ARE NOT coming with Phase 5 and the Ahn'Qiraj War Effort.
These pieces were introduced in Naxx to help guilds clear AQ40, so they don't have a place in P5 at the start.
Blizzard is evaluating when to add them.
