Easily kiteable to Wildhammer Stronghold by a hunter. Keep him at max range and just kite him with cheetah and rank 1 arcane shot. His infernals are slightly faster than him so if they start to catch up just conc or scattershot them. Keep your pet on passive the whole way, once you get to Stronghold and have guards aggro'd on him quickly send in your pet to maintain your tag and then FD before he runs up and conflags your face. Just autoshot him down while the guards own him and collect your free BoE boots.

I had him evade on me on my first attempt when I ran too far into the keep. I'm not sure if I forgot to keep an arcane shot tag on him or if he doesn't move much past the gate, but just play it safe and stop your kite once he has guard aggro.

Fairly easy as a horde-hunter, just send your pet on him, Intimidation (if your BM), nuke away until your pet dies, then kite him to Shadowmoon Village, when he gets there, the guards will attack him, then FD, and nuke as much as you can, if your gear is good you might do enough damage to get the loot

I don't think this guy is soloable by a mage, unless he's kited to a town. Immune to snares and roots, 5,000 damage did < 4%.

Just 2-man this 1. Myself a lvl 70 Druid Tanking/DPS and a lvl 70 priest healing

Priest on rock with Tank at the bottom, make sure you taunt it roughly before the dragon breath ability to keep agro. Preists should not use a shadow fiend using this tactic.

i JUST confirmed, guards do NOT aggro him once in wildhammer. i kited him twice all the way down there and both times the guards did NOTHING.

this guy is pretty tough. 4 of us took him down, myself (prot warrior), 2 shaman, and a hunter. most if not all of his damage is fire damage (including a conflagration) and he summons elemental rock guys periodically.

the boots he dropped for us were "Abyssal Cloth Slippers of the Invoker" (Cloth, 102 Armor, +24 int, +28 Spell Damage and Healing, +24 Spell Critical Strike Rating)

Got him today, he isn't very hard anymore. You definitely need 3-4 coordinated people tho.
Rogue tank (myself), Shadow priest, Disc priest, Holy Pally. When I got conflagration it would turn either to the shadow priest or, near the end, the disc priest. The shadow priest would kill the Infernal spawns while the pally & disc priest kept me up. It was a little chaotic, I had to pot after a rather big crit, but we had lots of mana left when all was said and done.

This character currently is bugged. Killed it today and was unable to loot it. Blizzard GM said the developers know of this issue and are working to fix it but there is nothing they can do at this time.

Killed him just a moment ago and had the same issue, yet to get a response to my ticket.

Killed with a reasonably geared feral druid tanking, very well geared fury warrior dpsing (and soaking up the hits while the druid was conflagged), and myself healing (retribution spec Pally with decent holy gear).
Fairly easy fight, did however go oom.

Difficult fight. Fury warrior (tanking), 2 rogues, warlock, and a holy pally had serious trouble killing due to conflag issues.

Dropped the fury warrior and grabbed another warlock and EASILY tanked him with warlock's infernal.
Infernal is immune to fire damage, so conflag / fire damage was a complete non-issue.

I tried killing this guy with a Priest, Warrior, Druid and a Rogue (me). It worked out for the first 30-45 seconds, then our healers burnt all their mana. When you fight this guy, make sure you have pots.

Downed him as 3. Me-Feral druid along with another feral druid and a BM hunter. Simply I was healing the hunters pet wich was tanking at the start. When he summons infernals I healed the druid who tanked. When I was oom we switched.

The other day I found him up, checked this page, and found the smallest group size as 3, so decided to try it with 2 to see if it could be done. The group was a Holy Paladin (myself), and a Combat Swords Rogue. Both of us are mostly Kara geared with a few misc items from Gruul/VR and the rogue had two merciless gladiator swords as well.

The rogue started off 'tanking' but the conflag would change aggro back and forth between us. I kept up Concentration Aura and kept healing myself and the rogue constantly. We had a number of near-misses, especially as the adds were up, but we barely managed to stay alive the entire time and eventually we were successful on our first attempt and took him down.

Very easy mob. Did this with a blue hunter, a partially purple paladin and me, a blue/epics warrior (fury). Never had any problems, pala had about 50% mana left. It just took a while with only 1 dps. Keep intervening after conflagrate and it should be cake.

soloedas a demo lock, enslaved oen of those pit lord elites and CoD, the works and only renslaved twice. had bit of a scare, a nice UD rogue decided to drop in and hit me with a fist. then helped me out a bit.

We just 3 manned him quite easy with two frost mages and a tank.. Us (Mages) were kinda fully eppiced and tank had descent gears.. We managed to down him under a min.. Unfortunally, when we got him, the adds did kill our tank :( But still ! It was a fun fight

Pretty easy solo with my frost mage today. I found him just past Illidari point but before Legion hold and wanted to see if I could solo him. Even though he can't be slowed it's still pretty easy to kite him to wildhammer (the guy above who said guards wont help, well I dont know, 4 of them helped me). Basically ice lance spammed him to wildhammer, using my elemental for extra dps and to freeze the infernos. The big thing to avoid is his conflag, it def. has some max range so try to avoid it. I came out oom (forgot to make gems!) and with a nice large prismatic shard. So if you see him around and AV still hasn't popped, easy way to make 30g :)

Edit: Just to make it a little more clear, he does run faster than normal run speed, but with blink and him stopping every bit to cast his inferno you can pretty easily stay out of his range.

Me (mage) and a priest killed him just now. We found him in the vicinity of the Deathforge. I tried it alone at first, taking him along the path towards Terokkar, using Frost Nova on the infernals he summons.. but I ran into a pack of mounted mobs and they killed me when he was a little below 60%. Then me and the priest kited him to Wildhammer where the guards basically tanked him. As a mage you could probably solo it even without the guards if you stay ahead. As the previous poster said, with blink and him stopping to cast you can stay ahead of him. The only thing that sucks is the conflag. Ice Block can break it but my PVP trinket did nothing.

BTW he is immune to fire.

As of patch 2.4, Kraator is ridiculously easy. I killed him yesterday with my destruction warlock, solo. I recall a time when it would have taken a five man group or the above-mentioned kiting to take him down.

So the nerf to the super-tough rares is assuredly working.

He hits cloth (mage) for ~300 physical.

He's immune to fire, but don't let that stop you, even if you're a fire mage. I pulled with frostbolt, popped icy veins, then just arcane blasted him to death. He only hit me 4 times.

Kraator is a complete joke these days. As a fresh rogue, with gear capable of starting heroics, I was able to take him down while losing about twenty percent of my life. You can bleed kite him, stun him -- whatever. He isn't immune to anything I did as a rogue.

Killed him today (7-31-08) and he had just over 13k health. Major joke now. Worth stopping and killing him for the shard. Didn't see him try to cast any spells like infernal, fire shield, etc. that had been mentioned earlier.

He's easy to kill; hits for roughly 240-270 on a Warlock with only 869 Armor (I can't imagine how pathetic his DPS must be on someone in Plate), with a Fire damage aura that hits for a low amount (I think it was somewhere between 70 and 120).
He also drops a nice pair of Blue boots every kill (maybe not as good as some of the instance stuff, but still pretty nice IMO); if you can't use what drops (i.e, the Cloth boots drop and you're a Plate-wearer), throw it in the AH, since someone would probably like to have it.
If you see him, kill him; he's so easy that the XP and loot are practically free.

Found him while doing my Netherwing dailies, in the Warden's Cage - it's hard to miss an enormous orange infernal on the green background of SMV. Killed him quick with almost no damage as an 80 Arms Warrior and got my Medium Rare achievement. Piece of cake. Got some Abyssal Plate Sabatons of Strength, which I will be selling on the AH.

His range of npcscan to find him is like tukemuth if you know that one which is like 200-250 yards or 5-6 cast lengths, so shouldnt be a problem to walk past him.

An easy way to check for Kraator, Ambassador Jerrikar and Collidus the Warp-Watcher (all rare NPCs of Shadowmoon Valley) is to equip your Blesses Medallion of Karabor. With a cooldown of 15 minutes it's very helpful to check for the rare NPCs of Outland for the Bloody Rare achievement.

Fractured 克兰托尔 today, while landing to pick some 魔草 in his western spawning spot, and after just icing 独行者布罗加斯 in Nagrand also while picking the same flower. NPCScan pinged after passing right over his spot at Illidari Point. I didn't catch if it was a fresh spawn, as I didn't have tracking set to a fireball giant, lol. Broke him at 16:15 hrs (Laughing Skull 4:15PM), coords 32.0,46.0.

Loot: 深渊板甲长靴 of Agility (+46 AGI), 59s 7c. There are about 22 random enchants that you can get for this loot item.

NOTE: Can't miss him, he is the only 3-story magma-glowing elemental giant in this spawn spot.

He summons little infernals. He also has a move thats like the mage move dragon breath and it has a fire dot effect. he also cant be slowed and runs faster then normal speed.

Need locks to banish summons.

We too were unable to loot him. His body fell into a rock and we couldn't find anywhere lootable. Only little sparkles. Theh only reward any of us got was getting to see a rock sparkle.

kited as a 70 hunter. One thing to keep in mind, clear the mountainside of all adds before you pull him, and make sure you stay at max range each time you arcane shot, otherwise he will conflag you then kill you. When he spawns his adds, lay a frost trap down, that way he will always be in front of the adds, and they won't catch up to you during one of his summons. Also be familiar with where you are kiting him.

Just dropped mail boots, 30 intellect & 30 strength.

Pretty easy fight. 2 manned him where he spawned. Prot paladin and holy priest.

Tank just held adds throughout, hardest part was his 'conflagerate' move. If you're a priest just use binding heal through it. Fade doesn't work well for getting aggro at that point.

So there I am, grinding fel boars for a Netherwing quest, when I find this guy. I look him up, see that he isn't soloable, and go back to grindin'.

A while later a group of Allies come along (I'mma Horde) and gank me in some sort of preparation ceremony for killing Kraator...or something like that. (I mean, surely they wouldn't gank me for no reason...right?)

I run back to my corpse and see them preparing to fight him, so I wait. They start, and I spawn and wipe 'em, dying in the process. I run back and find them spawning, drinking, and gettin' ready to try again.

This time, I wait until Kraator is at about 30 or 40 % before spawning. Conveniently, A Horde rogue happens to pass by as I start to scatter them. By the time the last of them is dead, Kraator is at 2%...

...so I execute him and get:

+30 agility
+46 stamina
Requires Level 68

Useless for me as a warrior, but being able to take it from them...well, it warms my heart.

Anyway, moral of this needlessly long post: Don't be a ganking ass hole if you're about to kill this guy.

Basically, let the druid tank, had the lock banish an add and kill the rest as they popped. When he feared the druid, pally would heal the lock through the damage. Wasn't too hard. Lame drop, but a good time.

Soloed this guy with my mage like 10 mins ago, He moves fast but just run summon 2 waterelementals and kite with icelance. Run into the Keep and just let the guards kill him but at the same time shoot some frostbolts so u get the loot, Got boots with Sam,int, and mp5. really nice for paladins,

Just did it with my hunter, he spawned near the tower where are few elite guards. i just kitet him there and the guard helped to kill him :) crappy loot tho, cloth with 46 int.

Took him down with 3 with me a 70 holy/disc priest a 70 holy pally in tankadin gear and a 70 hunter. The hunter trapped the adds, The only real problem was with the agro drop from confragulate. I also generated alot of agro from both healing and DPSing when the paladin was topped off.

Whenever he spawns by the Warden's Cage, he spawns in a field full of Felboars. Challenge: Equipped with naught more than thine bow, lead the titan (the long way) to your sanctum. The challenge is yours to answer, fellow hunters.

3 Manned, but easily 2 manned. We just took him down by the Warden's Cage. Holy Priest (1700 +heal), Marks hunter and Prot Pally. I actually dual boxxed the priest and Hunter. Just set the hunter back a bit and set to autoshoot and pet attack (no taunt) while Pally tanked and I healed with priest. Form a triangle and spread out. Priest never got charged by Kraator, only Pally and hunter. Easily Healed through it. My priest however caught alot of adds action from his spawns and then respawns of 2 hellboars. Minor annoyance and didnt matter much to my health. PW:Shield and Healed through them and SW:P the adds 2x each til death.

Drops Blue *Leather* Boots *of Spirit*. Double waste. Pally won the roll and DE'd them for shard. Waste of time.

Tried to solo him as a resto druid...looks like it would be easily doable if entangling roots worked. 1.8k starfire got him to 96%. The oddest thing though, was the entangling roots did work on him, they just didn't hold him in place. So, he was chasing me down with roots up to his waste. Didn't kill me, but I need to get someone to tank before I try again.

Killed today with a group of 4: Me (68 hunter), 70 paladin healing, 70 druid DPS and 69 warrior tanking. Dropped the cloth boots and I won the roll, should sell nicely.

Found mob around 30,58. Spawns adds and is also surrounded by other mobs, be careful.

I'm not sure why everyone is grouping for this guy. He was lvl 68 non-elite with no adds (except for the first time I tried I aggroed afelboar & a chimera)Isoloed him as a lvl 70 Holy Priest... I just kept my shield on and only had to heal myself once & almost ran out of mana.

So this guy can be taken out solo by anyone (with at least healing pots).

Well, I was on my way to craft some shadowcloth when i saw this fella... i decided to try him out, prepared myself with healthstone.... lets just say at the end of battle my VW's health was at 78%, mine at 100% still and like 60% mana. Maybe i burned him down too fast, but nothing spawned or no special moves.

actually, i found this guy at 42, 68 in shadowmoon valley. he was the easiest 68 elite i killed so far. soloed him as a hunter, bm specced. Hunters mark, send in pet, wait till pet gets to 50 % health, heal pet, nuke him, as soon as he comes for you feign death. After that, nuke the rest of life outta him.

Just killed him as a 68 BM hunter behind Coilskar Point while i was farming for cobra scales .Was a rather easy solo fight, took about 2 minutes and he was down . I was able to loot him and got the Abyssal Mail Greaves . TB lists them as being worth 75 gold so yay me lol

you can solo this A hole with any kinds of shaman. Just summon ur earth elemental to protect you and fight with him. Also him him a bit. so yeah i got abyssal mail greaves of the tiger unfortunatley. BUT 65g!

I think they removed the elite status from him, he now has only about 12k hp, and no adds, and doesn't really hit any harder than a normal mob of that level.

Killed with 5 (Combat rogue, Warlock, Feral Druid, Holy priest and Hunter- the druid and priest were playing each other's characters), yesturday on scarlet crusade.

While another two alliance tried to reap our first time deaths and tried to solo him with a paladin and a warrior. They died, we rezed and killed him with his full health for the - which I got.

He hits like a trucker, nearly 2 shotting me. He's got fire aura and also infernals that popup all through the fight. He's got a Mage-like dragon skill that dizzies the first player on his aggro list and targets the second in line.

I went after the first couple infernals and after that stayed locked on him.. until he turned at me and almost squashed me - Sprinted around yelling "I Nedz Salvation!" "Danger" and also the classic: "It tastes like burning!" until the bear got it off me. The warlock before me didn't have sprint... and promptly died at the first dizzy.

I kited him very easily to Wildhammer as a Hunter. I would suggest keeping your track demons on so you can see all the aggros and don't run into them. I used aspect of the cheetah and I marked him so that I could see him on my minimap. And I just kept using arcane shot. I would wait till I just ran out of range to hit him (red triangle on arcane shot) and then spammed arcane shot till he came into range and then ran some more and repeated till I got to Wildhammer. Very very easy. Once there you got to watch for his little minion guys though.

i tried to kite last night on demon soul, but this guy wont seem to leave the little area he stands in. where u get to the spot to jump down he stops and turns around, good luck getting him to shadowmoon, would have been sweet though....
if your gonna say something like that, put up a screenshot of it too..no way ol boy solo'd, tired of hearing that on here.

Killed him while Horde ganked us back and fourth, lol, was a blast, had 10 people in the Raid, 5 for the Hode and other for Boss DPS. Dropped Mail Feet of the monkey (30 Stam 46 Agi. Had a blast.

Alrighty... 2-6-08 2pm EST... Kited the big guy by Black Temple all the way to Wildhammer. No problems. Every time he dropped an Infernal Group, just freezed trapped and kept pumping arcane shot to keep aggro. As soon as I got into Wildhammer, the other 10 Alliance players ran, but Wildhammer guards and other NPC's helped down the big guy.

Kraator has been severely nerfed. He now has around 10% of what his health used to be and hits like a schoolgirl. Still drops the same rares though, so if you see him, it's worth spending 10 arrows / 15 seconds to topple his sorry ass.

Kited him from death forge to wildhammer stronghold and then killed him with guards tanking. Relatively easy for a lvl 70 hunter.

Anyone else having problems with the body dropping below ground if you kill him north of Coilskar Point? It's happened to me twice so far. You can see the sparkling, you can /target Kraator, but you can't loot the body.

In the rather suicidal mindset of seeing how much a holy priest, arcane mage, and prot pally could hurt Kraator, we jumped him at roughly 2:30am server time for kicks. The chaos that quickly ensued was both fun and nail biting. I am not sure how I (squishy mage thingy) was kept up after the tank got conflagged and I had Kraator beatin my skull in like a fiery giant toddler with a tantrum pissed at a random toy....but I was kept up. Throw in some infernals, some random boars that were feisty, leet heals, and about 1 million arcane missles, and you get a recipe for this amazing magic item. And no..we won't sell it to you!

Killed him today in a group of 4. He summons infernals during the fight and has a large amount of health. Also does a Conflagrate on the tank. The loot was a BoE rare, rubbish stats but disenchanted to a large shard.

Outland rare mobs are definitely a step up from the old world rares.

i think that most elite rares have been nerfed because day ago i kill hemathion without a drop of sweat, and now kraator hits me like my little sister 100 per hit, those guys use to need a group with a healer to be killed. now even my dirty geared druid can kill him easily

They added a conflag ability to him, so good luck kiting him anywhere. I can iceblock out of the first two, but he uses it incredibly frequently (once every 15 seconds or so) so unless he spawned RIGHT by a town, you're not gonna get him there.

Killed with 7 yesterday, all ranging between lvl 62 and 64.
Has a conflagerate ability and adds spawn during the fight.

Dropped Blue BoE Cloth boots with just +65 Frost damage and no other stats

Down this guy 2 day with a prot warrior and a holy priest. Kept piercing howl up so when he conflag the priest could kite him intill he summoned infernals and i could catch up and taunt. doesn't hit that hard conflag is the only thing to watch for. took about 16m to down him.

Killed him today. Quite easy... Leather boots dropped 'of Agility' (+46agi). Groupsetup: warr, pala, rogue and 2 warlocks.

He spawned around 31,44 in Shadowmoon Valley.

70 Hunter, blues.. I found him at 41,38 at about 2:30 AM. 1 was able to easily kite him to Shadowmoon Village with AotC and random shots. The guards outside of town took him down to about 80%, but once he entered the town he glitched out and I was unable to do anything to him. When i disengaged he faded and didn't come back to his spawn point. We'll meet again, Kraator.

Seems like ~24 hour respawn timer. Found the dead body yesterday, and killed it at the same time today (which had been alive for 15 minutes according to NPC Time addon).
