As mentioned in my other post, if you actively PvP in the Darkmoon Arena (event starts each 3 hours, 1500, 1800, 2100, e.g.) and win you earn 5 extra tickets from the chest.

Ok, breakdown on live seems to be everyones worst case scenarios. It will take you about 6 months to earn all the pets and mounts, 2 months for a set of transmog gear, and unless youre not interested in either of those, youre probably better off getting heirlooms with justice/honor points still.

10 tickets monthly.

Assuming you have all secondary professions, thats 6 more monthly quests, at 4 tickets each for primaries and 3 for secondaries; a total of 20 tickets.

There are the 5 faire games, which on live are now only rewarding 1 ticket each. If you do them after midnight on the saturday before dailies reset, gives you an extra day, so thats 8 days times five tickets for another 40 tickets.

And finally, with your 暗月冒险者指南 in hand, youre eligible to loot the Darkmoon Artifacts, which im assuming are also weekly turn ins. With the 3 battleground ones being worth 5 tickets, the 5 dungeon boss ones being worth 10 tickets each and the one raid one (still speculative) being worth 15. for a total of 80 more tickets.

Theres also the 5 tickets from the one time quest 暗月马戏团, which you cant even get if youve done the faire prior to its 4.3 incarnation, so i wont count that.

Unless i missed something, that gives you a grand total of 150 tickets per faire, so a little more than one pet or not quite one mount per month.

It seems like a lot, but if i recall correctly, this is a similar time investment to getting your Crusader title and all 13 mounts and 11 pets from the argent tournament, i think that took me maybe 4 months, but that was EVERY day, not 8 days a month. 120 days for 24 mounts and pets, vs 48 for 8, not too bad.

The daily quests now give just 1 x Darkmoon Prize Ticket each instead of 5.

Is there a maximum amount of tickets a character can earn before they cannot hold any more? I'm holding onto my tickets while waiting on news of companion pets and mounts possibly going account-wide in Mists of Pandaria, and I'm wondering if they may be capped at 200 or something of that nature.
