If you attempt to shapeshift when transformed into a Gnome you will lose the disguise. Thus wasting a 4 Hour cooldown. Don't follow in my footsteps.

It also does not persist through death.

Tried to use Carved Ogre Idol during the gnome transformation, and received the message, "There is a more powerful spell currently active."

Going to have to test to see if I get this message the other way around (Ogre to Gnome).

What with my main(alliance, of course) being a priest, this was a pretty neat teaser for Gnome priests.

I also had the good fortune of having a level 80 druid, horde side. Troll druids, FTW! It's a shame that shapeshifting removes the buff.

I wasn't able to use this item in the Eye of the Storm- I recieved a 'you can't use that here' error message. I was however able to keep the Gnomeregan Pride disguise when I entered a battleground with the buff on.

Fun fact : If you use this on a female character your voice changes to that of a male leper gnome when you hit/get hit/die ,but your voice emotes like /silly and /flirt sound like that of a normal female gnome.

For Posterity sake,

Gnomeregan Pride and the horde equivalent were added in patch 3.3.5 as rewards for helping retake the surface of Gnomeregan and reclaiming the Echo Islands from Thermaplugg and Zalazane respectively.

These rewards were available to anyone who completed the simple quest chain that involved preparing the gnomish army for battle. There was a separate reward for taking place in the battles which could only be achieved by characters 75 and greater.

Anybody know if there is armor that looks like what you get when you use this? Would be nice to get the armor, and not have to use that head piece. The gnomer armor with engineering head gear would look pretty cool if you ask me.

Here's an interesting glitch. When you mount up as the gnome, remove the buff and your character is much larger than normal. My human warrior was cow size.

Just a big warning to those who use this in ICC.

You will not be able to use the Rocket pack on Epic Loot-Ship.

You will get an error saying "You cannot use this while polymorphed"

Just the other night I couldn't jump over and kill the mage because of this and caused a wipe (I couldn't cancel the costume because Blizz screwed something up and is preventing you from right clicking on Satrina Buff Frames to clear Buffs/Debuffs).

I made a list of gimmick items which you can use to transform your character into a different form or race or even gender to play around with. I didn't add items like weapons that provide a procc with a transform effect that only lasts a few seconds even though I know about them. Almost forgot I had this, but since rediscovering it I have been using it every time I get Throne of the Tides as a random dungeon; the the blue armor with deep-sea diving type helm just feels right at home in that place!
