I've been looking around for the best place to farm those, and I've found it. You will find "Flame Revenant" and "Raging Flame" at 83.71 in Wintergrasp.
To the bad part, you will only be able to farm this when your faction controls Wintergrasp. I'm not really sure if it's a bad part though. When you farm there, you are sure that noone from the opposite faction are going to interrupt your farming by killing your mobs. Because the Flame Revenants, which has 100% chance to drop 1-3 crystallized fires (motes), can only be seen by the faction who controls Wintergrasp.
Okay, to some quick facts about this place :
Raging flame
*Has an approx. droprate of 25% on the crystallizers, 1-2 each drop.
*No special abilities
*Hits me as a cloth mage for 550~
fire
damage per hit.
*Immune to fire spell damage, extra vulnerable to frost damage.
*12600 health, easy kills. Alot of them around the area.
Flame Revenant
*100% droprate on the crystallizers, 1-3 each drop
*3 spawns, 5 minute timer on the spawns. Giving around half an eternal each 5 minutes.
*Same as for Raging Flame, no special abilities.
*Actually not immune to fire spell damage.
*25200 health, average in difficulty. Melees could use bandages while farming these, since they hit fairly hard, dealing 1200 critical hits on me as cloth.
I farmed for one hour, while beeing alone there, to test how many eternals per hour you can get.
The result :
First 15 minutes - 2.1 Eternals
The next 15 minutes - 2.3 Eternals
~~ - 2.8 Eternals
~~ - 2.1 Eternals
With this said, I had 9.3 eternals within one hour as a Frost mage with green/blue level 80 gear.
Editing this post once again, if you bother skilling engineering there's alot of extra eternals for you. I would guess you will have another 3-4 eternals per hour with a mote extractor. Just requires 305 engineering skill, you still use the good old Zapthrottle Mote extractor.
Hope this helped anyone, if so, thumbs up and rate this a + !

Another great way for farming the Eternal Fires is to have an Engineer at least 305 with a
Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
and 280% flying mount is a big big plus then farm the gas clouds in Sholazar Basin, as requested I have documented almost 90% of all of them on this post
http://forums.wowace.com/showthread.php?p=256311#post256311
Each clouds could give up to 5x Crystallized stuffs (in Sholazar you could gather Fire (massively) & Water (a little)), for just 3sec casting, the clouds repop is extremely quick, since yesterday I'm looking for a rare trash in the zone and in no times and efforts near a mining job I made 70x Eternal Fire + 25 Eternal Water and counting. Engineer is really worth to try in WotLK, go for it :) Please don't vote down I'm just trying to help my next since Gas clouds are not yet monitored by wowhead but probably soon.
//edit: kagaro author of gathermate said he'll import my savedvariables to its addon database so if you prefer clouds location ingame rather than reading a screened map go for GatherMate + GatherMate_Data

I'm new to the whole extracting Motes and there Crystalized vershions. If someone could help with these few questions it would be a big help!
1. Can you extract them mounted?
2. Are the clouds usually on the ground or high in the air?
3. Last is do they show up on my Mini map like Mining nodes do?
Thank you for any posts!

You can farm them while the opposing faction has it under control, it's just much more challenging.

Actually it works like this:
There is a place in south-east Wintergrasp which is easy to recognize by the smoldering lava area, the spawns there consist of Raging Flames, the average 12.3k hp mobs and Flame Revenants, the more formidable 25.2k hp mobs.
The reason why some people can't see the Revenants is because their faction isn't in control of Wintergrasp (whenever your faction is in control of WG and you're inside WG just mouseover the WG buff and it'll say that because you're close to a titan relic you're able to see greater spirits or whatever)
It basically works like this with all elemental spawns in WG

do u have to be an engineer to see the clouds

The "Created by" tab shows that it requires 9 Crystallized Fire to create an Eternal Fire, however the way Blizzards spell works is a little misleading.
You "Use" one of the Crystallized Fire's which casts a spell that requires another 9 to create an Eternal. It requires 10 in total.

Formany farmers it might be messy to compromise all your "crystalized ***" to not soak up the bag space.
I thoguht this could be easy solved. Here is a very simple but useful macro for compromising you crystals to eternals:
#showtooltip none
/use Crystallized Fire
/use Crystallized Shadow
/use Crystallized Air
/use Crystallized Water
/use Crystallized Earth
/use Crystallized Life

I have so far discovered three major areas in which you can farm these fires at a reasonable rate, I will list them in order of preference:
1. Wintergrasp - as all the other comments said in great detail, best place to farm these things is on the
Flame Revenants
, no need to go into depth here, just check the other comments. Note that this location is usually heavily farmed and therefore may not be the most efficient use of your time.
2. Storm Peaks - the
Seething Revenants
have an excellent respawn rate, and the drop rate is not too bad. They also drop relics of Ulduar, which for some people might elevate this location to number one. Unfortunately, just like option number one, this is a popular area, but the respawn rate is incredible.
3. Borean Tundra - if all else fails and these areas are too crowded,
Raging Boilers
near Bor'gorok Outpost are the next best choice. Their droprate is not too great, but they're only level 70, so you can round them up in packs and AoE them down for nice results. As an extra plus, not too crowded, and you'll often have the area all to yourself.
These are the three spots I use when farming Eternal Fires, hopefully that helps.

Can anyone comment on why the average AH price of these is so much higher than other eternals, at least at the moment? Are just more demanded? Harder to farm?

There are, as many others have suggested, multiple spots in which to farm Eternal Fire.
The area in southern Wintergrasp is good, but it depends on many factors. Your side has to control Wintergrasp in order for it to be worth farming, and if your side does own it, you can almost bet on someone else being there. The Revenants have an excellent drop rate, but they have a relatively long respawn time and there are only four of them. They are stretched apart from one another and don't necessarily respawn in the order in which they have been killed, making it difficult to "out-farm" another person. Finally, even if you do own the area, you will occasionally be attacked by the opposition, potentially making it hard for the "casual PvP'er" to farm this area.
However, assuming you can get the spot to yourself, it is the quickest way to farm Eternal Fire. That much is true.
The next spot for consideration is the area in western Storm Peaks. Personally, I prefer this area for a number of reasons. The respawn timers are rather unreliable. However, the more people that come to farm the area, the quicker the Revenants respawn, making it ideal for one or two others to be in the area. They respawn much quicker than most mobs in the game and don't hit very hard. For those of you farming Sons of Hodir reputation or simply grinding gold (as Eternal Fires generally sell well on every server), they also have a chance to drop Relics of Ulduar (500+ kills and my Mobinfo2 marks it as 40% to drop 1 Relic; 33% to drop 1-2 Crystallized Fire).
This is the area I farmed the most as I was grinding for my Tundra Traveler.
You could consider the area in Borean Tundra, but the drop rate is so low that it would be more economical to simply purchase the Eternal Fires and grind something more time-efficient.
Finally, for any class with any instant cast spell of any sort: If you have to "out-farm" someone, use these instant casts first. It *used* to be that the debuff had to harm the enemy before it "took control" of the kill. That's not true anymore.
For instance, Curse of Agony goes 3 seconds before its first tick. Before WotLK (which is when I noticed the switch), CoA would have to have reached the first tick before the mob could be "claimed." If an enemy attacked it before that first tick, he would get credit for the mob and my bar would turn grey.
That's not true anymore. If you put the first debuff or hit it first, it's your kill.
Good luck, grinders.

Loot more titanium deposits in wintergrasp. You will gain a lot of crystallized fire, earth, water, air and shadow.

Are you kidding me? The Seething Revenants? I got there and saw 2. I killed the 2. 2 more respawned as I was killed the 2nd one, and then I sat there for about 3 minutes before one ever respawned. Horrible droprate!
I hung around for a few more minutes to find out that there are only FOUR Seething Revenants at that spawn point in Storm Peaks up at any given time. Bad suggestion!

One
hour farming in Storm Peaks gave me:
140x Hoary Crystals
8x Green items
4x Grey items
46x Efflorescing Shards
8,2x Eternal Fire
Did it on my 80 druid, who's got 4 iLvl 200 epix some random blues and greens.
Really easy gold :)
(Edit: 8x green items, not 4. )
(Edit 2: 8,2 Eternal Fires.)

The Cauldron of Flames area in Wintergrasp is by far the best place for an Engineer to farm Eternal Fire... assuming there are not any other engineers in the area. The reason is that two Cinder Clouds spawn every ~5 minutes in the Cauldron, and there is a third Cinder Cloud spawn down the mountainside and to the east at the Obsidian Dragonshrine. These three gas clouds will result in 6-12
crystallized fire
every 5 minutes
by themselves
. If you have no competition (Horde or Alliance), by the time you clear out the
Raging Flames
the three Cinder Clouds will have probably respawned. At that point, you just have to wait a minute or two for the mobs to respawn by the time you collect the last Cinder Cloud at the Obsidian Dragonshrine.
Even if there is fierce competition at the Cauldron for the
Raging Flames
, you may find it worth it to just farm those three Cinder Cloud spawns as an engineer. As long as you have something else you could be doing, like Alt-Tabbing and posting on Wowhead, then by the time you're done they will be there waiting to be tapped.

Engineers:
A good route for farming the different types of clouds containing Crystallized Fire starts in Wintergrasp. Porting into Wintergrasp and heading down to the fire elemental area will yield two clouds (5-10 minute respawn) following the lava river into Dragonblight into the Obsidian Dragonshrine will yield an additional cloud.
Heading west out of the Obsidian Dragonshrine toward Borean Tundra (stay in Dragonblight, there are no clouds along the southern edge of Wintergrasp) will usually yield at least one cloud containing Crystallized Air or Crystallized Water.
Once you reach Borean Tundra, a circuit around the Steaming Pools will usually yield 3-4 clouds. After you've finished your circuit head north to Sholazar Basin and begin a circuit around the entire zone. The proto-dragon area is almost a guaranteed one cloud and usually the entire zone will yield 3-5 clouds.
Usually by time you fly from Sholazar Basin back to the fire elemental area in Wintergrasp the route is beginning to respawn. Following the entire route laid out here will on average yield 3-5 fires, 2-3 airs/waters depending on your luck.

In 3.3.3, a Gnome named "Frozo the Renowned" Will come to dalaran on his flying carpet, Camping himself at Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange, selling Eternal fires along with the other eternals for a Frozen orb each.

These have become very hard to get on my server. They sell for 30 gold per on AH, and the spot at Bor'gorok Outpost is CONSTANTLY camped by multiple bots. I counted no less than 7 bots there the other day. My faction (Horde) wins WG most of the time on my server, but most of the time, there's even bots there at the Fire Eles, and since they're of my own faction it won't let me kill them :(

if you dont own WG u can forget about farming for eternals.....its a 25%chance for the normal mobs....u cant see the 25khp mobs without controling WG...and they have a good drop rate

Titanium Ore can also grab you a couple motes. It's erratic spawning though does not make it always a fast way to farm fire. Given enough time and luck however, you can get some this way too.

They cost 1

Thankfully,
冰冻宝珠
s are sold by
魔导师拉姆布莉丝
(Horde) and
奥术师艾弗蕾妮
(Alliance) in
Old Dalaran
for
110 Justice Points (which works out to be about 2 heroic bosses at level 85)
75g each!
Seems like a good deal considering I have a pile of JP and nothing else to spend it on

Tips for Northrend elemental farming:
If your faction controls Wintergrasp, the elementals located in Wintergrasp have high drop rates for elementals. Revenants have a 100% chance to drop elementals with the lesser ones having about a 25% drop chance.
Frozen Orbs can be traded for any eternal (as well as for some other goods) in Dalaran from Frozo the Renowned.
Frozen Orbs can be obtained from heroic WoTLK instances (1 per completed dungeon), bought from the Auction House, or purchased with cataclysm currency Justice Points (110 per orb).
If your character has Mining as a profession, make sure to mine the elemental corpses for extra loot.
Justice Points are easiliy obtainable from running regular dungeons or by converting Honor Points.
My favorite method for farming these is using the frozen orb method. I run regular dungeons and then buy Frozen Orbs with the Justice Points.
Happy Farming~!
