Does this bag drop in place of another item, or is it a totally new drop added to monsters loot tables? Like the 16 slot backpacks were dropping as pumpkin bags last year, is this the case with this?

Lets uhh... Not talk about whom exactly it dropped from. After all, all we need to know is that its a world drop from mobs 60+, and it only drops during the All Hallow's Eve event.

Considering these bags aren't Unique, you can have as many as you want, like the Pumpkin bag.

Just to clear up some of these comments, this is NOT an Outland only drop. It appears to be any mob over level 60. I was farming Thorium in Darkwhiper Gorge, Winterspring and stumbled across Lady Hederine, a rare-spawn level 61 Succubus. I was terribly surprised to see a Jack-o'-lantern bag on her corpse. So if you don't have Burning Crusade, you can still get lucky and find these 18 slot ones in the old world.

As it seems, it only drops from humanoid-like mobs of that level range (so any mob likely to drop cloth), same for the Pumpkin Bag. By that I mean humanoids, demons, undead and the likes of it. I had both my Pumpkin Bag and Jack drop of humanoids and if you check the mobs that drop the Pumpkin Bag ( https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=20400 ) you will notice that there is no beasts etc listed. So if you actually really want one of these, it might give you an idea what mobs to go for. :)

I got both the 16 and 18 slot bags. The Jack-o'-Lantern dropped near the Ring of Blood section of Laughing Skull Ruins from a Humanoid.

I got this bag from a humanoid mob in karazhan, room before Moroes. It dropped for me around Halloween... I think it's pretty rare, well I m the only one in my guild who got it.

I was grinding my newly aquired devilsaur to 70 in Shadowmoon Valley and we were killing Rocknail Ripper's and Enraged Air Spirits along the crystal formations close to the Dragonmaw fortress.
The Jack-o'-Lantern dropped on a random Rocknail Ripper after about an hour of grinding. I wasn't expecting it, so it was a nice surprise. It's just a pity that it's a BOP, I have no need for it and I could have gotten at least 35 - 50 gold for it in the AH.
Oh well, something else to put in the bank to sit and wait for a useful purpose lol.

I got this bag on the first day at the Hallow's End event.
I was farming some Neatherweave Cloth in the cavern
north east of Halaa and i got the drop from one of the Boulderfists over there. =)

Just so everyone asking about drop rate is clear; seeing as how this is lootable only during the Hallows event, the drop% listed on wowhead is askewed Im sure, just kill a bunch a stuff while questing and hope ya get lucky

Can't confirm on the 60+ req. on the mob this drops off. Just dropped off a level 58 mob in Silithus for me (a Twilight Avenger). No clue if this was bug related or not, but I dubble checked the mob's level. Might be that the level req. does not lie on the mob but on the player? I was playing a level 70 character at the time so it makes sense.

Can anyone confirm?

Was out grinding Mag'har rep for Talbuk mounts and scored 2 of these in the space of 45-60mins. Prolly about 100-120 kills and 2 dropped. Was kinda happy, had 2 16slot bags in bank, so they upgraded em.

Had this drop just a little while ago on my quest to obtain the Ravenlord mount (was a nice little suprise). I think its kind of funky, just a shame it is only 18 slots but it will do for my cooking mats. xD

I hear it's a world drop, and people recommend farming Blood Elves to get scryer rep drops along with your farming, so I go out to eclipse point, and I farm, and I farm, and I farm some more. A couple gajillion dead blood elves later, and what drops...

Scryers area in front of Black Temple with all the initiates and such, I found 4 in less then one hour. I didn't even know about them originally, I went in for the glaive quest. 2 dropped almost back to back to then I looked the item up on here and pressed on to see what else I could get, luckily over time another 2 dropped. I'd say head up there, it seems to be a good place for them. Either way you can get your rep items for use or sale.

Was farming netherweave cloth (for tailoring) off of those ogres at laughing skull ruins in Nagrand. Locks need a lot of space for their soulshards so this was a great pickup. very sexy.

From the looks of it, these will only drop off mobs that can drop cloth.

So all humanoids.

I farmed my bag in about 15 minutes. Went to the Ogre's in Nagrand near Ring of Blood. Good money, good drops, and quick respawn rate.
