Losing the dodge from the T4 shoulders isn't that big deal, if you have Moroe's Lucky Pocket Watch then you have all the dodge you need. I'd rather have the extra defense so I could focus my gear on something other than defense.

These are far better than T4, you should even think twice about which tier is better. How do you fix this problem? Get yourself a Iron-Tusk Girdle, it has 33 dodge (1.74%). Either way, you will only loose about 1.5% dodge, which wont hurt at all.

It's all about balance, you'll notice that the parts of T5 that have avoidance, have block rating/value in T4 , so yes, by swapping parts you'll lose stats, but in the end it will all balance out again. Add up the other stats you gain overall with the T5 set, you'll see these are far superior to T4, perhaps just not as much if it's your only T5 part.

I'm not so sure I'd trade these for my T4 shoulders. The set bonuses are not very good, the socket bonus is useless (while T4 shoulders sport +3 defense) and this drops the dodge rating in favor of not-so-useful block value. Of course the other stats that affect it are a bit better so you end up losing less avoidance than the full 1.37% from the dodge rating on T4, maybe somewhere around 0.6-0.8% I did not bother to check the exact numbers.

In the end you're trading 117 armor and 6 stamina for that amount of dodge (and get the block value). Seems like a sidegrade at best. Not impressed and I won't be blindly changing to something just because its Tier 5!1.

Damn fine, especially with the Destroyer set bonuses you get for 2 or more pieces. +100 SBV every time I use my primary defensive ability? Yes, please!
